Breda Netherlands
Visiting and Observing Steve Jobs School, Breda Nethrtlands

t is very pleasured that SEAMOLEC Staff Mr. Prayitno and SMKN 3 Ogan Komering Ulu, South Sumatra have opportunity to visit Steve Jobs School in Breda, Netherlands. There are 11 Steve Jobs School in Netherlands. This school is a new school that starts in 2013, even though this school is new but a lot of school would like to have study visit to this school to know how they do the teaching and learning process. We have opportunity to visit Steve Jobs School at September 19, 2013 at Breda, Netherlands. SEAMOLEC staff and Teacher from SMKN 3 Oku could learn and discuss about the system around 1 hour. We talk a lot about the teacher, how they conduct the teaching and learning. Below several points that we sum from the observation: 1. Steve Jobs School is a new system teaching and learning, start at 2013. 2. One of teaching and learning process is one student have their own Project based learning on the real world project and what they would

like to learn, they have 6 weeks to discuss with the teacher and show to their parents. 3. At the students PBL, teacher is guidance and a parent is a supervisor. So the student PBL must discuss between their parent and teacher. 4. Each student have website portfolio to show the process and result from their own PBL. 5. Each student has his/her own devices, such as iPad and Mac Book. 6. Not every day the students must come to school, they can learn in school and in their home. This Steve Job Innovation on formal education in Netherlands is inspiring SEAMOLEC to propose a new educational model of school by integrating a multiplatform full/blended ICT into education for Southeast Asian Countries. Educational resources will be available 24 hours and 7 days a week, thus SEAMOLEC School Model could provide students more personalized learning experience and encourage to potentially replace traditional learning method.

He hoped that this workshop will have a great contribution to develop education in Hatyai. SEAMOLEC delivered greetings by Mr. Andri. He was emphasizing that the workshop specifically focused on the e-collaborative learning with PBL in order to improve the teaching and learning implementation in the countries. Due to the PBL and Edmodo are new, even unfamiliar for some participants, thus the rhythm of delivering material is slower than expected. Nevertheless, they are still EXCITED with the workshop and intensively following it from the beginning, though we find a language barrier to deliver the materials to the participants. Some of them are an English passive speaking and writing. The participants have developed Project Plans with the following title of each group: 1. Language: Learning Thai Culture Through Folklore 2. Science:
a) Understand The Periodic Table, b) Building Equipments for Saving People from Flooding

The above Projects could be found at Edmodo Class for Hatyai, edmo.do/j/7gk7nq or group code: u8iery.
