2013-2014 Alaska Association of Environmental Professionals Scholarship Application

To apply for the Alaska Association of Environmental Professionals Scholarship at (add school name here), do the following: 1. COMPLETE ALL APPLICATION PAGES: Pages one and two (1 - 2). 2. ATTACH A PERSONAL ESSAY: Your personal essay should include the following: - Your educational goals and objectives. - The timeframe for meeting these objectives. - Your involvement in curricular and extracurricular activities - Your employment history and need - A description of what you plan to do with your environmental or science degree upon graduation. Please also include a brief summary of your particular area of study, citing specific classes within your major and your reaction to those classes (i.e. which have sparked your interest and why, etc.). The essay should be no longer than two (2) pages (approximately 500 words). This essay is very important and a required part of your application. A subjective review of your essay is a significant part of the evaluation. 3. ATTACH LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION FROM TWO (2) REFERENCES: Inform your references that their letters must be returned to you so you can submit them with your application to the Scholarship Coordinator (add contact here) by November 1, 2013 do not send them separately from your application or it will be considered incomplete. Confidential recommendations (not required) may be submitted in sealed envelopes. References must be current within the past year. 4. MAKE ONE COMPLETE COPY FOR YOUR RECORDS. 5.
