Facultywillbeacademicallypreparedandwillbeproveneffectiveteachersbasedonareviewof theirteachingportfoliobyafacultysearchcommitteeofthedepartment. Facultyareexpectedtodemonstrateahistoryandcurrencyinprovidingqualityeducationthat alignswellwiththePMUeducationalphilosophyandmethodsthatprovideastudentcentered andpositiveenvironment.

BDutiesandResponsibilities: Faculty assigned to teach in the Electrical Engineering department will have the primary teaching responsibilitiesforthedepartmentsacademiccourses.Thesewillinclude: o o o o o o o o o CQualifications/ProfessionalExperience: o ThecandidateshouldhaveaPhD.inElectricalEngineeringfromareputableWesternuniversity. Mastersdegreeholderswithgoodteachingexperiencecouldbeconsidered,toteach introductorylevelcoursesandassistinlaboratoryinstruction. Selectingtexts. Preparingcoursesyllabiandteaching(practicalandtheoreticalcourses). Planninginclassteamactivities. Constructingstudentassessments,preparingexaminations,. Keepinggraderecords. Supervisingand/orteachinglaboratorysessions. Holdingregularofficehours. Participatingindifferentdepartmentalandcollegecommittees. Participating in scientific research (applied or basic), consultation projects, professional training coursesetc.

Thecandidateshouldhaveatleast23yearsofteachingexperienceinareputableuniversity, afterfinishinghisterminaldegree. Thecandidateshouldhavegoodresearchexperience,withreasonablepublicationsin internationaljournals. Industrialexperienceisconsideredasanaddedbonus. ThecandidateshouldhaveexcellentcommunicationsskillsinEnglish. Thecandidateshouldbefamiliarwithtechnologicallyinfusedacademicenvironment. CandidatespreviousexperienceintheMiddleEastingeneralandGCCcountriesinparticularis alsoanaddedbonus.
