Key Skills. Communication

Participated as an exhibitor with Ca.Tec at the New Zealand Transport and Heavy Equipment Exhibition in March 2013. Over the three day period I liaised with potential clients with diverse backgrounds, ranging from truck operators to senior personnel within large multinational companies. The exhibition was deemed successful as product orders were received shortly after the event. Prepared and delivered oral and written presentations to colleagues in the field of tribology. The presentations were a summary of research I had conducted both as an individual and as a member of a team in the previous three month period. Upon finishing my placement I received excellent feedback for content, clarity and presentation style. The material was later utilised in a published paper.

Problem solving
Solved mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic problems both manually and through redesign during study at Gordon TAFE. Deconstructed parts and circuits, analysed faults and engaged in redesign. Successfully completed all nine modules relating to fluid power.

Time management
Scheduled work load at the beginning of each day for myself and colleagues. Prioritised tasks and created a work plan to ensure that all tasks were completed on time and in the correct sequence. Given autonomous authority for daily scheduling.
