Introduction
The Performance Management System envisages evaluation of Technical/Functional competencies of the executive annually. This document is to be used as a reference directory to identify competencies required for the effective discharge of various roles and functions within a plant/project. At the beginning of the assessment year during the Performance Planning phase, the executive and the reporting officer should refer to this document to identify functional/technical most relevant to the executives position .

Knowledge of flood forecasting of a catchment. Knowledge of DVC's raingauge & rivergauge network & their functioning. Knowledge of DVC's Realtime data collection system in coordination with CWC & IMD. Knowledge of Analysis of data & flood forecasting (manual mode & computerised software). Knowledge of Modern softwares & data collection system w.r.t. flood forecasting.

Knowledge of DVC's reservoir capacities, spillway & undersluice ratings, gate details, guide curves, d/s channel capacity & flood warning system. Knowledge DVRRC Manual. Knowledge of role of CWC & other Govt. in reservoir operation. Knowledge of different agencies drawing water from DVC system w.r.t. their drawal, metering system and agreement with DVC. Knowledge of Agreement procedure with new agencies for drawal of water from DVC system. Knowledge of sedimentation survey and preparation of report. Knowledge of river gauges. Knowledge of preparation of yearly data book (reservoir data, rainfall data etc.) Knowledge of DVCs policies and procedures for contracts and tenders. Knowledge of Dam safety aspects.
