Job Description Pesach program provider seeks staff for various locations (Niagara Falls, Canada and Norwalk, CT) Executive Chef: responsible include: menu development, supervise and help train culinary team, cook onsite from March 19th April 3rd. Passover program experience is necessary! Heads of departments (Meat & Dairy): Responsibilities are similar to the executive chef except on a smaller scale Job Description We run Upscale Getaways and are seeking a part time Executive Chef & Sous-Chef. Responsibilities for these positions include but are not limited to overseeing all food and beverage back-of-the-house operations while working closely with front-of-the-house staff to ensure quality and innovative dining experiences to guests.We run high-end weekend retreats in addition to all major holidays, including Pesach. We are hiring immediately. General Qualifications & Experience A strong and passionate leader and culinary professional with a proven track record of providing high-end dining experiences. Due to the limited amount of hours required, responsibility and punctuality are key. Chef must have the ability and desire to consistently create unique and inspired themed menus that will wow and amaze the kosher market. This can be an exceptional opportunity for a qualified Chef, with only a few hours per month required

BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY Supervises, plans, organizes, directs, and participates in the centralized production of highly specialized bakery and pastry menu items for University Dining, including contract dining, retail cafes-stores, and banquets/catering operations. Schedule, train, supervise and coordinate the work of assigned staff

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS A Bachelors degree in Dietetics, Foods and Nutrition, Institutional Management, Hotel & Restaurant Administration, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Reasonable (1-3 years) experience in managing and participating in the operation of a large scale bakery production center including specialty cake decorating and pastry production; food service management, including personnel supervision and inventory control is required. Excellent written and verbal communications skills are required. Reasonable knowledge of computer software applications (i.e., Word, Excel, and Email) and electronic payroll and timekeeping systems is required. Ability to obtain and maintain ServSafe certification.
