    The reason why graph of torque against armature current did not pass throught the origin in dc shunt motor is because the current is not enought to rotate the shaft when the load applied. If the load is increase, the current also increasing but the speed will desrease because of the load is against the speed.

    The reason why graph of torque against amature current did not pass throught the origin in

    dc shunt motor is because the current is not enought to rotate the shaft when the load

    applied to the shaft. If the load is increase, the current also increasing but the speed will

    desrease because of the load is against the speed and current.
