The Threads of Life

In the darkness there is light. I close my eyes and there is sight. Although asleep I am awake; and awake I am aware of the others who like me seek beyond what we can see. Wandering through our souls we find a common thread, a past entwined. I follow the thread; it pulls me in. Now in the play we say our lines, we make our moves, and then it ends; only to start, begin again.

Night
In shades of dark and deeper gray, he quickly chases day away. He spawns spawns the the shadows, sets sets them free, while bringing forth obscurity. He paints the world with deeper hues, dark purples, reds, and blackest blues. Secretly, covertly he scours the sky, using the clouds as they try to scoot by. Erasing all traces of daytimes light, he blankets the world in velvet velvetnight.

Dawn
Once again, does she take flight, vanquishing darkness with her light. She brings the sun, the gleam of day, she makes the darkness go away. She brings the warmth, the mornings light, creating creating daybreak out of night. Silently, gracefully, she slips on past; across the sky that is so vast, with broad strokes she paints the dawn in rosy shades of misty morn.

Tableaus of Time
I wander lost and unsure, through mazes of stillstill-lifes; unmoving images, frozen frames of time. Into these tableaus, which resemble segments of life, I try to fit. But, somehow I never do. So, I wander; wending my way through these suspended segments of time, time, striving to find that one moment meant for me.

Two streams gently flowing on their own. Th ey cross, they tou ch, then contin ue sepa rate and alone. Two strea ms flowing, they join as one; now a river has begun. So, the blending of each heart, brings together lives apart. In gentle strength with love entwin ed, two souls, two halves, now one combined. A special pairing, filled with lo ve, and kissed with bles sings from above.

Love
Sometimes light as a feather, it makes my heart fly. Sometimes heavy as lead, it weighs on my mind. Sometimes like a heavenly chorus, my soul wants to sing. But without it is to wander, Aimlessly in in a life filled with misty fog.
