Scope of Work
3ESSB 6034 Sec. 141 Proviso: Recommendations on Medical Marljuana
Budget Proviso Language: SB 6034 Soc, 141(2):
a) The liquor control board must work with the department of health and the department of revenue to
develop recommendations for the legislature regarding the interaction of medical meriuana regulations
and the provisions of Initiative Measure No, 502. At a minimum, the recommendations must include
provisions addressing the following:
(i) Age timits;
(i) Authorizing requirements for medical marijuana;
(il) Regulations regarding health care professionals;
(iv) Collective gardens;
(v) Possession amounts;
vi) Location requirements;
(vii) Requirements for me¢ical marijuana producing, processing and retail licensing; and
{vill Taxation of medical marijuana in relation to recreational marijuana,
{b) The board must submit its recommendations to the appropriate committees of the legislature by
January 4, 2044,

Medical Marijuana Work Group Timeline
SESSB 5034 section 141 directs the Liquor Control Board (LCB) to work with the
Department of Revenue (DOR) and the Department of Health (DOH) to develop
recommendations for the legislature regarding the interaction of medical marijuana
(MMU) regulations and the provisions of Initiative 502 which established a recreational
marijuana (MJ) system.
Below is the MMJ Work Group's timeline for providing the legisiature with the above
