Recruitment of Principal, Vice-Principal and other Teaching Faculty i.e. Associate Professor & Assistant Professor for the proposed ESIC-NURSING COLLEGE at Indiranagar, Bangalore & Gulbarga, Karnataka Employees State Insurance Corporation is a statutory body constituted under an Act of Parliament (ESI Act 1948), invites applications from eligible candidates for the posts of Principal, VicePrincipal and other Teaching Faculty i.e. Associate Professor & Assistant Professor, for its proposed ESIC-NURSING COLLEGES at Indiranagar, Bangalore and Gulbarga, Karnataka, for appointment on contract basis. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

The applicant must possess minimum educational qualification and experience as indicated against the posts below 1. Principal cum Professor M.Sc.(N) with 15 years experience after M.Sc.(N) out of which 12 years should be teaching experience with minimum of 5 years in collegiate programme.
Ph.D.(N) is desirable

2. Vice-Principal cum Professor. M.Sc.(N) with 12 years experience after M.Sc.(N) out of which 10 years should teaching experience with minimum of 5 years in collegiate programme.
Ph.D.(N) is desirable

3. Associate Professor. M.Sc.(N) with eight years experience after M.Sc.(N) including 5 years teaching experience
Ph.D.(N) desirable

4. Assistant Professor. M.Sc.(N) with 3 years experience after M.Sc.(N) AGE LIMIT: Not exceeding 67 years as on 12.5.2013 PAY & ALLOWANCES: 1. ESIC has adopted Sixth Central Pay Commission. Basic pay and other allowances shall be paid as admissible. 2. The retired Government Officers shall be paid emoluments in accordance with the rule in force as on date. 3. Other candidates appointed on contractual basis will be paid Basic Pay at the initial stage i.e. initial Basic Pay of the relevant Pay Scale and other allowances as per rules of the Corporation . 4. Pay as on date (Basic Pay + Grade Pay) at initial stage is as under. Principal cum Professor (PB-3+GP 7600/-) Rs. 29,500/Vice-Principal cum Professor (PB-3+GP 7600/-) Rs. 29,500/(PB-3+GP 6600/-) Rs. 23,350/Associate Professor
Assistant Professor (PB-3+GP 5400/-) Rs. 21,000/-

5. In addition to above other allowances like D.A., HRA etc would be payable as per admissibility. 6. Retirees from Central / State Govt. / PSU from the equivalent posts are eligible to apply. Persons working in recognized/approved Private Medical Institutions having sufficient experience at the desired level may also apply. 7. The candidates have to produce the attested copies of all the relevant certificates/testimonials i.e. educational qualification, teaching experience, Pension Payment Order (PPO) etc. at the time of interview. TERM OF CONTRACT As per approved policy, contract will initially be for a period of two years extendable at a time for another one year as per requirement on satisfactory performance. Tenure beyond five years and the age of seventy tears, whichever is earlier, shall not be permissible.

However, ESIC reserves the right to change the centre, if needed

SELECTION PROCESS: 1. The Selection will be made on the basis of performance of the candidate in interview before the selection Board. 2. Result will be communicated through e-mail/sms and will be displayed on web-site 3. Selected candidates will have to join within 07 working days.
