Stations There are 13 stations in Metro Manila, which spans five (5) cities, from North Avenue in Quezon

City to the the southern tip in Pasay, which is Taft Avenue. The list of stations, as well as major landmarks, are as follows: 1. North Avenue (Quezon City) - SM North and Ayala Trinoma. QC Circle is also nearby. 2. Quezon Avenue (Quezon City) - ABS-CBN Network Station and the closest link to University of the Philippines. QC Circle is also nearby. 3. GMA-Kamuning (Quezon City) - GMA Network Station and Timog Avenue is already accessible. 4. Araneta Center-Cubao (Quezon City) - Araneta Coliseum, SM Cubao, Ali-Mall, various provincial bus stations, Aurora Boulevard, Gateway Mall, New Farmer's Plaza, and the closest link to Ateneo de Manila University. There are also jeepneys here that go to Pasig and passes by Eastwood. This also serves as the link of MRT to the LRT 2 Line(also known as the Purple Line) that starts from Santolan Station in Marikina to Recto Avenue in Manila. 5. Santolan-Annapolis (Quezon City) - Camp Crame (PNP Headquarters)and Camp Aguinaldo (AFP Headquarters) 6. Ortigas Avenue (Pasig City) - SM Megamall, EDSA Shrine, Robinson's Galleria, Greenhills, Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, Poveda Learning Center, St.Francis Square, and Podium 7. Shaw Boulevard (Mandaluyong City) - Shangri-La Plaza, EDSA Central, StarMall, EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, and also SM Megamall. 8. Boni (Mandaluyong City) - Pioneer Plaza, Robinson's, Cybergate, and Victor Potenciano Medical Center 9. Guadalupe (Makati City) - San Carlos Seminary, Guadalupe Shopping Center. This is also the nearest link to Rockwell Center, Power Plant Mall, and even the Makati City Hall (there are jeepneys that pass by Guadalupe, Rockwell, and J.P. Rizal where the City Hall is). This also links the MRT to the Pasig Ferry Line through the Guadalupe Ferry Station. 10. Buendia (Makati City) - Nearest link to the Makati Central Business District (Makati CBD). From this station, one can also ride a bus to the MMDA Main Headquarters in Orense (though the building is between Buendia and Guadalupe stations, it is still practical to go down at Buendia and take a bus that is northbound). 11. Ayala (Makati City) - Ayala Center, Glorietta, SM Makati, Greenbelt, Landmark, nearest link also the Makati CBD. This is also the nearest link to Fort Bonifacio andMcKinley Hill through the Mckinley Road. 12. Magallanes (Makati City) - Alpha Southland Mall, Pasong Tamo, Dasmarinas Village entrance, South Super Highway, Little Tokyo, Paseo de Magallanes, Asia Pacific College, Glaxo Smith Kline, and San Lorenzo Place 13. Taft Avenue (Pasay City) - Metropoint Mall, Macapagal Avenue, Baclaran, Pasay Rotonda. Nearest link to the SM Mall of Asia, universities found in U-Belt and Taft (such as De La Salle University), and Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). This also serves as the link of MRT to the LRT 1 Line (also known as the Yellow Line) that starts from Baclaran Station in Pasay to Monumento in Caloocan.

LRT 1
1. Balintawak (Quezon City) - recently opened last March 22, 2010. Balintawak Market, CaloocanQuezon City boundary, EDSA-Cloverleaf Interchange, Andres Bonifacio Monument and Parks, A. Bonifacio Drive, NLEX exit, which makes going in and out of Metro Manila from the Northeasy (you

can ride a bus going to Balintawak and just take the LRT to get through destinations along the LRT route or go to North Avenue station and hop on the MRT to go to destinations along EDSA) 2. Monumento (Caloocan City) - originally the northmost station until Balintawak was opened. Monumento Circle (where the Bonifacio Monument can be found), Grace Park, Rizal Avenue corner EDSA, Uniwide, Ever Gotesco, Manila Central University (MCU). This also serves as the end terminal for buses that ply the EDSA route as well as Taft Avenue. NBI Clearance Center is also located in this area (5th floor, Victory Mall), which is a few minutes of walk away from the LRT Station. 3. 5th Avenue (Caloocan City) - basically found along the C-3 Road (Fifth Avenue), this station is where those going to Taoist Temple, Hernandez Hospital, Jade Towers, andYorklin Chinese School get down. 4. R. Papa (Manila) - Tondo, Manila Chinese Cemetery, St. Pancratius Parish 5. Abad Santos (Manila) - Tondo, Sampaloc, Manila Chinese Cemetery 6. Blumentritt (Manila) - Sampaloc, San Lazaro Hippodrome (now SM City San Lazaro). This also serves as the connection to Blumentritt PNR Station. 7. Tayuman (Manila) - Sta. Cruz, San Lazaro Hippodrome (now SM City San Lazaro), the closest link to University of Santo Tomas. 8. Bambang (Manila) - Sta. Cruz, Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center, San Lazaro Hospital, and can also be a link to University of Santo Tomas. 9. Doroteo Jose (Manila) - Sta. Cruz, Fabella Memorial Hospital, Isetann Shopping Center, Quiapo, major link to the University Belt. Manila City Jail is also around the area. This also serves as the connection to LRT 2 Purple Line (that starts from Santolan Station in Marikina to Recto Avenue in Manila) through the Recto Station which can be accessed via an elevated walkway bridge. 10. Carriedo (Manila) - Sta Cruz, Pasig River, Quiapo Church, which is home to the Black Nazarene, Escolta, Ongpin, Binondo, Binondo Church, China Town, Manila Mini-Forest Park, Liwasang Bonifacio, closest link to FEATI University, Manila Central Post Office. This also serves as the connection to the Pasig River Ferry Line via the Escolta Station. 11. Central Terminal (Manila) - Ermita, Arroceros, Pasig River, Intramuros, Manila Metropolitan Theater, Manila City Hall, Office of the Ombudsman, National Museum of the Philippines, Department of Labor and Employment, Philippine Veterans Affairs Office, SM City Manila, Mehan Garden. This is also the closest link to the University Belt which includes schools such as Colegio De San Juan de Letran, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM), Mapua Institute of Technology, Lyceum of the Philippines University. This also serves as the connection to the Pasig River Ferry Line via the Lawton Station 12. United Nations (Manila) - Ermita, Rizal Park, Luneta, Supreme Court of the Philippines, Department of Tourism, Justice, Manila Ocean Park, Quirino Grandstand, Times Square shopping mall, YWCA of Manila, schools such as AdamsonUnivesity, Emilio Aguinaldo College, Manila Science High School, Pearl Manila Hotel, Manila Doctors Hospital, Medical CenterManila. 13. Pedro Gil (Manila) - Ermita, Robinson's Manila/Ermita, Philippine General Hospital, University of the Philippines (UP- Manila), Nakpil Street 14. Quirino Avenue (Manila) - Malate, Manila Zoo, Remedios Circle, Adriatico Street, Paco Park and the Paco PNR station is also nearby 15. Vito Cruz (Manila) - Malate, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (Central Bank of the Philippines), Harrison Plaza, University Mall, Rizal Memorial Sports Complex, De La Salle University, De La Salle - College of St. Benilde, Arellano University, St. Scholastica's College, jai alai pelota court.

16. Gil Puyat (Pasay) - popularly known as Buendia, Cartimar, Philippine Law School, Pasay City Academy, Manila Adventist Medical Center (also called Manila Sanitarium), EGI Mall. Buendia MRT Station (along EDSA) can be found at the other end of Gil Puyat; Buendia PNR Station (along SLEX/Osmena) is midway the two stations. 17. Libertad (Pasay) - Pure Gold, Libertad Market, Cuneta Astrodome, Department of Foreign Affairs, Holy Trinity Church, St. Mary's Academy, Spring Cinema, Rizal Funeral, Sta. Clara Parish, Pasay City Hall, Philippine School for the Deaf, Aglipayan Church, nearest link to Pasay Road and Ayala Malls via the Ayala-Libertad jeepney route. 18. EDSA (Pasay) - Metropoint Mall, Macapagal Avenue, SM Saver's, Heritage Hotel, Pasay Rotonda, Philtranco Terminal, Saulog and Aladdin Bus Terminal. Nearest link to the SM Mall of Asia, EDSA MRT. This also serves as the link of LRT to the MRT Line (also known as the Blue Line) that starts from EDSA Taft Station in Pasay to North Avenue in Quezon City. They are connected via an elevated walkway bridge. 19. Baclaran (Pasay) - Baclaran Shrine/Church, Our Mother of Perpetual Help, Coastal Mall, Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Terminal 2 Shopping Center, JB Line Bicol Express, South Metroland Terminal. There is also a plan of extending the LRT 1 Yellow Line to Bacoor, Cavite via this terminus station.

LRT 2 1. Recto (Manila) - Sta. Cruz, Fabella Memorial Hospital, Isetann Shopping Center, Quiapo, closest link to Far Eastern University (FEU), Manila Grand Opera, Central Market, Isetann Recto. Manila City Jail is also by the area. This also serves as the connection to LRT 1 Yellow Line (that starts from EDSA-Taft Station in Pasay to Balintawak in Quezon City) through the Doroteo Jose Station which can beaccess via an elevated walkway bridge. 2. Legarda (Manila) - Sampaloc, Sampaloc Public Market, closest link to university belt, particularly University of the East and University of Santo Tomas, San Sebastian College, National Teachers College, San Beda College, Centro Escolar University, La Consolaction College, Technological Institute of the Philippines, National University, Arellano University 3. Pureza (Manila) - Santa Mesa, Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) - Sta. mesa, SM Sta. Mesa, Sacred Heart of Jesus, Puregold, SM Savemore, De Ocampo Memorial College, an alternative link to jeepneys going to University of Santo Tomas, Arellano University, San Beda and La Consolacion College 4. V. Mapa (Manila) - Santa Mesa, G. Araneta Avenue, SM Centerpoint (SM Santa Mesa), SM Mezza Residences, Arlington Memorial Chapels, Central Colleges of the Philippines, UERM Memorial Medical Center 5. J. Ruiz (San Juan) - only station located in San Juan. Regina Shipping Lines (RSL) Bus Transport, Tabernacle of Faith Academy, near Pinaglabanan leading to Xavier School and Immaculate Concepcion Academy, The Arena 6. Gimore (Quezon City) - New Manila, St Paul University - QC, Broadway Centrum (where GMA7's show such as Eat Bulaga and Diz Iz It is being taped, St. Joseph's College, St. Luke's Medical Center, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Carmelite Missionary Sisters, Trinity University of Asia (Trinity College). The area is also known for PC Shops selling the mostaffordable computers and parts. This also serves as the central station of the Purple Line 7. Betty Go-Belmonte (Quezon City) - Aurora Blvd, New Manila. Named after the wife of Mayor Sonny Belmonte.Very near RVM Beatery and LVN Studios

Santolan/M.A. Roxas (Marikina City) - Marcos Highway, SM Marikina, nearest link to Antipolo, Sta. Lucia and MetroEast Mall.
