September 20, 2013 To Whom It May Concern: It is with great pleasure that I submit this letter of recommendation on behalf

of Isha Aggarwal. I am confident in my recommendation of Isha as a fine candidate for an internship position with your organization. I have known Isha since November 2011 and was her direct advisor in Student Entertainment Events (SEE) when I served in my previous position as the Program Coordinator for SEE. SEE is the University of Maryland's main programming board, and is made up of dynamic and professional student leaders that are charged with providing diverse large and small-scale programming for the campus community. Isha served as the SEE Venue Director from 2012-2013, and because of her great work in the position and organization, she applied for and earned the position again for the 2013-2014 academic year. In her role, Isha is responsible for coordinating the venue needs for every SEE event, including venue reservation and accommodations during the event. She works most often with Event & Guest Services (reservations and venue needs), the Department of Transportation Services (parking), Facilities Management (equipment rentals), University Concessions (food), the University Fire Marshal (safety concerns), and off-campus contractors (equipment rentals), among others, to meet all event requests and needs. She also works with our event programmers, artist management, and University officials to determine the most appropriate room layout for each event. For our larger events, she was responsible for writing and submitting Life Safety Plans on behalf of the organization to the University to outline SEEs plans for the safety of our event attendees. Finally, as Venue Director, Isha also serves as a member of SEEs four -member Production Team, which is responsible for all the behindthe-scenes work that goes into producing and executing SEE events. Because of her efforts, Isha has gained great experience with event management, teamwork, ideation, leadership, and most importantly, how to work with a diverse group of individuals towards a common goal and purpose. She also has had to utilize and refine her organization, written and verbal communication, and time management skills in order to successfully carry out all of the duties associated with her position. I am impressed with Ishas efforts and truly pleased with her abilities and the work she has doneand continues to dofor SEE. In addition, Isha knows how to be professional and work with a diverse array of people, including students, other student organization leaders, and University officials, which is a skill set that should be expected of your interns. It was also wonderful to see Ishas ability to be a great support to the rest of the SEE Directors and the Production Team, and I know that her peers in the organization truly appreciate her presence and work ethic. Moreover, her position requires an ability to exercise analytical and problem-solving skills, and she has exercised these skills more times than I can count. Isha is definitely a valued member of SEE because of her commitment to this organization, teamwork skills, and great energy. I am truly honored to have served as Ishas advisor and have had the opportunity to work with her. I believe that Ishas commitment, work ethic, great attitude, and energy in SEE, as well as her success with and dedication to her academics, will definitely translate into a successful internship with your organization. Again, it is my honor to submit this letter to you and it is my hope that you seriously consider Isha as a candidate for an internship position with your organization. I have no doubt that she will be a successful addition to your team and exceed your expectations.
