T. greets the SS and asks for the date, season and the
weather.

T. displays on the BB Xmas related flash cards and


asks the SS to name them. T. asks the SS to select the
cards that represent TOYS.
T. asks the SS which of the toys can be made in Santas
workshop by elves.

While listening

T. writes the following questions on the BB.


1. Where doe Santa live? (at the North Pole)
2. Why does Santa need a help to deliver the presents?
(because he ate too much mince pies and he cant
climb down the chimney)
3. Who helps Santa deliver the presents (Amy)
T. plays the story up to page 8 and asks for the
answers.
After page 8. the T. asks:
Who help Santa to make toys? (the elves)
Where do they work? (in Santas workshop)
T. plays the song and asks the SS to fill in handout 3
ex. a).
T. monitors and asks for results by playing the song
again and checking the answers.
T. asks the SS what they think the end of the story is.
T. elicits answers
T. goes back to the story (Santas little helper story
the link above) and plays the next pages to find out the
end of the story. (Amy gets a special present from
Santa)
T .asks the SS whats Amys present? T. elicits
answers. (thus revising the introduced vocabulary on
toys)

toys they think Amys got from Santa and motivate
their choice.
T. gives the SS handout 4 and in pairs they solve it.
T. monitors and asks for results.
T. gives the SS handout 2 and asks them to write a
letter to Santa following the instructions. T. monitors
and asks for results.
SS have to write a similar letter to Santa changing the
words where necessary.
SS sing the song again to finish the lesson in a merry
mood.
