Students are making sufficient progress through weekly principal data analysis conferences in the areas of reading, language arts and math. Data is turned in weekly and reviewed by peer coaches. The administration, along with the curriculum coordinators and peer coaches review lesson gains and ensure students are mastering specific skills before continuing on to the next lesson. Interventions are discussed and recommendations are made for students who are struggling academically, to include follow ups. ENVIRONMENT: IS THE SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT SUPPORTING STUDENTS, TEACHERS, & FAMILIES?
DIBELS: The Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills (DIBELS) are a set of procedures and measures for assessing the acquisition of early literacy skills from kindergarten through fifth grade. They are designed to be short (one-minute) fluency measures used to regularly monitor the development of early literacy and early reading skills. DIBELS were designed for use in identifying children experiencing difficulty in acquisition of basic early literacy skills in order to provide support early and prevent the occurrence of later reading difficulties.

OUTCOMES: WHAT ARE STUDENTS ACCOMPLISHING?

Academic Competitions: Student representatives participated in the Spelling Bee, Math Olympiad, Geography Bee, and Science Fair,. These extracurricular activities helped to encourage exemplary work, problem solving skills, acquisition of new techniques, and critical thinking skills. These activities also provided opportunities for students to interact with students from other schools and share ideas with peers.

The SAT10 performance standards are content-referenced scores that reflect what students know and should be able to do in given subject areas. As a norm-referenced test, student scores are compared to the performance of a norm group, comprised of a national sample. Performance Levels Level Proficient Represents solid academic performance indicating students are prepared for the next grade Level Advanced Signifies superior performance beyond grade-level mastery
