Error 1 : Adobe Installer asks you to insert the CD during the installation proc ess. Error 1 fix : See #2 in Section 1. Error 2 : Does not install, stops at 0% and goes no further. Error 2 fix : Sometimes it takes a good while before it begins to show that it's installing. Please wait at least 5 minutes before concluding that it is not ins talling. If it still does not install after that long it is an unknown error, pe rhaps caused by compatibility issues. Please look for help on the internet as I don't have much information on this error type. Error 3 : When attempting to save changes to the 'host' file in C:\Windows\Syste m32\drivers\etc it cannot save and an error message appears reading 'Cannot crea te the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file. Make sure that the path and f ile name are correct.' Error 3 fix : You're using Windows Vista, aren't you? Well, I had this problem, and regardless of what OS you're using the most likely cause that you can't make changes to the file is because you don't have permission to. With Vista especia lly there is often a problem with editing system files even on an Administrator account. You will have to reboot your computer and wait until the bios screen fl ashes off (the very first screen) when you boot your computer and, during the sh ort moment of blackness, press F8 repetitively until you come to a system screen that has 'Safe Mode' listed. Choose the safe mode option and press enter, then enter your password and access your account as normal. Since you're in safe mode the computer will use minimal settings, meaning it's going to look like Windows 98 or 95. Now try adding those lines to the file again. It should save fine whi le you are using this mode. When you are finished, reboot normally and you shoul d be able to use the programs without any trouble. All other errors : Unknown to me.
