1.0

Introduction and Responsibilities The objective of this document is to detail the procedures and check lists to be followed for the final inspection and functional testing of the package, at the fabrication shop, prior to shipment. Inspections will be carried out ongoing in line with the Project Inspection and Test plans and reference to those will be made during the final inspection. Functional testing of instruments will be carried out in line with contract requirements but, unless agreed otherwise, this will not be regarded as a full pre commissioning operation. Instruments should be calibrated and have valid certification. A full detailed P & ID check shall precede the functional testing. Health, Safety and Environment issues, together with package operability will also be addressed during the inspection. During the course of Inspection and testing, issues requiring correction or attention will be recorded on a Punch list for later agreement and closing out. On completion of the Inspection and testing this Document will be signed by all parties. Signing off of the document will either give unconditional or conditional acceptance as referenced in the final section. Conditional acceptance may be given whilst referring to documentation or punch list items needing to be addressed and closed out. Irrespective of Client internal procedures, Cameron will always maintain its own punch list and will add to that any Client or Third Party issues which have been agreed. Where there is a dispute as to the validity of any punch list item, this will be recorded but noted that it has to be confirmed and agreed. These items will be referred back to the Project Manager for resolution with Client. The final punch list accompanying the package to site will reference its latest revision status and only those items still outstanding will be recorded. All previously closed out items will be deleted.

Function Testing
General

All instruments will be function tested as far as possible without introduction of process fluids before hookup of the package with LCP Note that this is a functional test and NOT a calibration test. The following test equipment will be used: - 4-20 mA loop source - 24 VDC power supply. - Hand Held HART configuration Unit (if required) Certificates for the above stated shall be provided for review at site. The instrument air distribution system on module shall be pressure tested before function testing (refer to Hydrostatic Test Record). For the instrument functional check: Connect a 7 barg clean dry instrument air supply or Nitrogen supply to the module edge termination flange. Blow the main instrument air header, sub headers and supply lines to instruments and regulators clean of dust and debris, using an air line. Open up supplies to individual instrument air filter regulators. Set the output at that required by the instrument connected to it. Positive isolation shall be provided prior to need for respective instrument. Open only one valve at a time from instrument air manifolds. All instruments are cabled to module mounted junction boxes, which will be point to point checked to confirm correct wiring of cables from junction boxes. Cabling from the ESD to the junction boxes will be by the Client at site, and so incoming/outgoing signals will be simulated / monitored at the module edge junction boxes for ESD. The following sections describe the general technique for testing the operation of various instrumentation components. The inspection of the following items to be completed by all interested parties, once the Fabricator has signed off the tick box enabling inspection. After inspection has been carried out, if items are acceptable the inspectors are required to initial the tick box against the individual item of equipment. If items are not acceptable then a punch list item must be raised to ensure that all parties review and amend as appropriate.

3.1.1 Actuated Valves Confirm the air supply to the solenoid valve is connected. Verify that all the tubing and fittings are connected properly. If solenoid have local reset; Check & record the test Simulate the control signal to the valve with a 0V DC or 24V DC source. Check the valve opens and closes in the correct sense. Verify that the test certificates are available for all valves. Check that the Local Monitor and Switch is fitted correctly

See Attachment 1 ITR 3.1.2 Control Valves Confirm the air supply to the control valve positioner is connected; verify that all the tubing and fittings are connected properly. Simulate the control signal to the valve with the 4-20mA source. Operates/strokes over the required range and in the correct sense. Verify that test certificates are available for all valves.

See Attachment 1 ITR 3.1.3 Level Gauge Glass Check gauge visibly for signs of damage. Verify that the gauges are mounted correctly in the vessel as per hook up drawing. Confirm range and gauge indicator via instrument datasheets.

See Attachment 1 ITR 3.1.4 Pressure transmitters and DP level transmitters Verify that calibration certificates are available for all transmitters. Apply the 24V DC supply to the transmitter and verify the zero setting is 4 mA. Check transmitter is installed as per hook-up drawing and confirm all accessories are in place. Confirm range via instrument datasheets. See Attachment 1 ITR 3.1.5 Pressure Relief Valves These are set pressure tested by the manufacturer. Relief valves are not to be set pressure tested during final functional testing. Verify that test certificates are available and that tag numbers match.

3.1.6 Self Actuated Pressure Control Valves These are set pressure tested by the manufacturer, which will not be set pressure tested during final functional testing. Verify that manufacturer test report are available and that tag numbers match.

See Attachment 1 ITR 3.1.7 Pressure Gauges Verify that calibration certificates are available for all gauges Check gauge visibly for signs of damage and verify that the gauge indicates atmospheric pressure (i.e. 0 kpag). Check gauge is installed as per hook-up drawing and confirm all protection devices/accessories are in place. Confirm range via instrument datasheets.

See Attachment 1 ITR 3.1.8 Rotameter Check indicator visibly for signs of damage. Check rotameter is installed as per hook-up drawing and confirm all accessories are in place. Confirm range via instrument datasheets.

See Attachment 1 ITR 3.1.9 Electro-Magnetic Flow Transmitters Verify that calibration certificates are available for all transmitters. Apply the 24V dc supply to the transmitter and verify the LCD showing pipe empty condition Check transmitter is installed as per hook-up drawing and confirm all accessories are in place. Confirm range via instrument datasheets.

See Attachment 1 ITR 3.1.10 Switches Check the switches visibly for signs of damage. Verify that the switches are mounted correctly. Verify that the level switches are terminated correctly and the cables/Glands are installed correctly.
