Freelance Designer May 2012-Present In my freelance, or contracted, experience from different clients, I usually was working with the little guys. Which meant providing a lot more than just graphic design. Key skills I have gained entail project management, branding and marketing strategy, copy writing, pitch and presentation, and effective collaboration to ensure a real service is delivered to these companies. I was signed on to create the identity and style guide of the issues to come. In addition to its brand, I was lead creative for the concept and layout design of each article. Other tasks included photography direction, editing, magazine promotions, subscriber mailers, and editor + marketing team collaboration. Denyse Schmidt Quilts Design Associate (intern) September 2010 - Jan 2011 As an intern, I got to see the ins and outs of Denyse Schmidts creative process, a common name in the Modern Quilt world. Internally I branded and redesigned all of their forms and customer service documents. Other projects included web + print ads, promotional iers and postcards and photo+blog management.

In effort to make the hectic, often under-staffed Sunday school program more organized, manageable, and safe, several materials were designed to help aid communication and systems between the staff, parents, and children.

An often over-looked holiday is Parents Day. Every summer exceptional Parents receive awards by the state in recognition of their service to the future. Three different promotional mailers/yers were created in generating nominations and attendance to communities celebrating.
July 27th Parenting is a tough job because its not just one task. As a parent, you wear a lot of hats and you mean the world to your kids.
This year, take time to honor your hard work and acknowledge others in your community. Its a tough job, but you do it well! Celebrate your work and your family by participating in Parents Day this year.
