Samgiita means the combination of vocal music, instrumental music, and dance. Prabhat was the given name of the composer of these songs, so the school of music that these songs embody has been named Prabht Samgiita. The word prabhta also means dawn. Prabht Samgiita heralds the dawn of a new era of music. The composer, Shrii Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar, initiated this school of music (gharana) in Deoghar, in the eastern Indian state of Bihar, on September 14, 1982, in the sixty-first year of his life. By October 21, 1990, the day of his departure from this world, he had completed 5018 songs, a number surpassing that of any known composer before him. This volume presents the lyrics of the first 200 songs with their English translations. They are mostly in Bengali, but in other languages as well.

Kaoshiki Day was celebrated at Ananda Marga of Los Altos Hills Jagrti. September 6 - 1978 Shrii Shrii Anandamurti added this beautiful dance for the welfare and health of all, particularly of all women. Kaoshiki cures more than 22 different diseases. Dada Unmantrananda is again

in Lebanon after the last humanitarian crisis affecting Syria. He is doing assessments of the situation and coordinate AMURT help for refugees. The picture refers to a previous activity of stove distribution among the Syrian refugees in Lebanon.

It is sad for me to know the news of passing away of Acarya Ashesananda Avadhuta. He was one of the senior Sanyasi of Marga.His last posting was in Manila sector.He had been sick since long in Bangkok.When he became very ill,he moved to Varanasi,India a year ago. He was staying in MG quarter of Varanasi and getting his treatment. He died at 1 AM, Monday September 2nd 2013.He served our beloved mission of Baba more than forty five years. He was very hard working missionary of mission.I can not forget to add the name of margi brother Ajita kumar who served him day and night. Acarya Iishvarakrsnananda Avadhuta
