Basic Education Law in the Philippines of Year 2013 Education is very important part of our life in order to find

jobs. That is how it works when comes to success. This is referring to the educational law of the Philippines which is the Republic Act no. 10533 or known as the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013. According to Helen Flores, a news reporter from Philippine star which was published last May 15, 2013 that is Wednesday issue which is my 1st source, said that K to 12 adds two yers of basic so students may be ready to join the workforce after finishing high school. The Department of Education started implementing the K to 12 program last school year. The Deped said that this is a breakthrough in basic education will bring the Deaprtment of Education to the Presidents 10-point agenda, the centerpiece of which is to enhance the curriculum nd add two years to our public education system and this is the much anticipated milestone for the youth and for the entire Filipino nation. The measure is meant to be upgrade Philippine education, whose quality has deteriorated in recent decades, and improve national competitiveness. Every effort must be made to ensure the success of its implementation. In Grade 9 and Grade 10 they will encounter information technology that will probably take subject such as basic computer operation, computer hardware and software troubleshooting. They will not have much time to spend on the computer, however because they will still have to study the usual academic subjects. They will have National Certificates or known as NC which means a proof that a person is possesses certain job-related skills. NC 2 - which is enough to land a middle-level job or or to set-up a small business. NC 3- usually qualifies a person for a supervisory or managerial position. By the end of Grade 12, students will have such a sophisticated grasp of science that they will be ready for the research demanded by higher education. According to Isagani Cruz of Philippine Star which was published on May 16, 2013 Thursday issue on page 17 in a newspaper column which entitles " The curriculum" said that the pupils who will be going to the Grade 1 level, they will take up Physics, Statistics, in a small dose that pupils and parents will not even know that this is part of curriculum. This issue makes it compulsory to enroll children in kindergarten before they can begin 6 years of primary education. We can see how different the K to 12 curriculum is from the current curriculum which is based on present year upon effectivity. Philippine President Benigno Aquino III promise, as one of the 10 points in his agenda for education that there would be a technical education in high school which means Department of Education is working closely with Technical Educational Skills and Development Authority which is known as TESDA not only in the planning, although it is in the implementation of the curriculum.
