Naco BBTE III-1D Education, according to the Dictionary of Education, is the aggregate of all processes by which a person develops ability, attitudes, and other forms of behavior of practical values in the society in which he lives. Education is an important means by which an organized society achieves stability and prosperity. Through the process of Education, the citizens are imbued with proper attitudes, values and aspirations, necessary to gain knowledge and skills that will help them achieve maximum self realization. Being a teacher, it is important to know the Historical background of Education. I have learned a lot in our subject Educational Systems and Current Issues. From the history of

education and up to the current trends in the educational system in the Philippines. The first thing Ive learned is that education begins in primitive era up to today. Ive learned also the history and current issues of the education system in the Philippines. aspect but all aspect of life. Being a teacher, it is important to know the different acts and rules we should obey. These will serve as our guide when we teach. A teacher will serve as

classroom manager, parent, model, evaluator, and facilitator. These are the traits that a teacher should be. Teaching is really a noble profession. The teacher is the one who molds a child into what he will be on the future. He is being taught how to read and how to write, how to deal with others and how to deal with himself. The knowledge of the teacher is being shared or transferred to the child from science, technology, arts and values. And when the child

is ready to pursue for a higher degree of education and especialization, it is still the teacher who is guiding the child for him to attain his dreams and expectations.

No other profession is greater than teaching. Without teacher, there will be no Engineers who will plan, design and manage the construction of buildings, roads, bridges, communication facilities and other mechanical infrastructure. Doctors, scientists, politicians, etc, will not exist without the teacher and the teaching process. Education, is it really important? Yes. Education is really important to us. It is the knowledge of putting one's potentials to maximum use. We consider education as a very precious tool in life. It cannot be measured by money, fame and other things for we consider this as a key to success that disregards the stature in life and financial capabilities as long as theres the desire to achieve the goals we envision in life. One can safely say that a human being is not in the proper sense till he is educated. Without education people wouldnt have their high developed skills and talents that would help them become successful both in our careers, family in making right decisions in life and to become aware of our environment. Education is the only treasure that one keeps and that which nobody can take away us from. Every student can enjoy education if only we, as students, know how to balance our activities that would make it more interesting. Education plays a very important role to us, students. It is one of the most important keys to open the door of success and serves as a milestone to our way going to the top of our dreams.
