Introduction !!!!!!!!!!!! I wrote this FAQ because I noticed that several of the bosses in this game are tough to figure out and tougher to beat. I also think that this is one of the best games I've ever played, hands down, but I could never write a full walkthrough because it's so long and complicated. Anyway, this guide deals with all 18 bosses in the game, listing their attacks and strategies for victory. If you need to find one, press Ctrl+F and type in "Boss" and whatever number it is. If you want to e-mail me, my address is listed at the top. NO FREAKIN' SPAM! Thank you. Enjoy the guide and the game! !!!!!!!! Controls !!!!!!!! Left Analog: Move Raz

FAQ !!! Q. Can I put your walkthrough on my website? A. Of course. Just write and ask permission first. !!!!!!!!!! Boss Guide !!!!!!!!!! ------------------Boss 1: Mega Censor ------------------Found: The end of Sasha's Shooting Gallery. Recommended Powers: PSI blast Attacks: Stamp-The Mega Censor slams his stamp on the ground, which hurts you if you're in range. Boulder-The Mega Censor rolls a rock, which moves in a straight line until it breaks. Strategy: This battle takes place on all 6 sides of the cube, which you can run around at will. At the start, five generators will be producing tiny censors. These are easily dispatched, but get quite annoying if they surround you. The generators are healing the Mega Censor, so run around and PSI blast them all. After they are all destroyed, the Mega Censor starts using the above attacks. Use your PSI blast to take off health. I recommend shooting him 2-3 times (while locked on, moving to avoid attacks), running to another side of the cube, taking your battle

station, and doing it again. Pyrokinesis also works, but PSI blast is a lot easier. A few rounds of shooting will bring the Mega Censor down. ---------------------------Boss 2: Blueprint Brain Tank ---------------------------Found: In the tower at the end of Brain Tumbler Experiment. Recommended Powers: Levitation, PSI Blast Phase 1 Attacks: Confusion Grenade-The Blueprint Brain Tank makes a huge question mark appear above it. Right after, it will throw a grenade that reverses your controls and turns everything green for a short period of time. Target Lock-The Blueprint Brain Tank projects a crosshair that locks onto you and fires a powerful blast. Get behind a pillar to avoid it. Charge-The Blueprint Brain Tank rears up on its treads and charges forward. Phase 1 Strategy: The Blueprint Brain Tank's only weakness is its soft underbelly, which reveals itself just before the charge attack. Lock on to the yellow spot and PSI blast it to flip the tank over. Run over to the tank, lock onto the weak spot, and blast it as many times as you can before the tank flips back over. You'll have to do this 3-5 times before the tank is destroyed, initiating phase 2, in which you have to fight the floating brain pod. Phase 2 Attacks: Sweeping Laser-The Brain fires a green laser which sweeps around in every direction. It's doing this most of the fight. Confusion Grenade-The Brain makes a huge question mark appear above it. Right after, it will throw a grenade that reverses your controls and turns everything green for a short period of time. Phase 2 Strategy: The Brain can be attacked at any time during this phase. If you are low on mental health, stand out of laser range and PSI blast the brain. If you have a lot of health, however, get close to the Brain and punch it repeatedly. As long as you jump over the laser (levitation makes this easier), you won't retain much damage, and punching beats the Brain a lot faster. -------------------Boss 3: The Lungfish -------------------Found: Under Lake Oblongata, right before Lungfishopolis. Recommended Powers: N/A Phase 1 Attacks: Breathe In-The Lungfish inhales deeply, sucking in objects around the arena. Be careful not to get hit by any of these. Blow Out-The opposite of the previous attack, the Lungfish will blow objects toward you. Avoid them. Phase 1 Strategy: Be careful not to step outside the air bubble, if you do, you'll die immediately. The key to victory is the yellow boxes of nails littered around the air bubble. Wait until the Lungfish breathes in, then break one of the boxes, causing the Lungfish to swallow all

the nails-ouch. You'll have to do this 3 times before the Lungfish shrinks the air bubble and chases you. You'll see this section through the Lungfish's eyes, and you'll have to run a course of jumps and swings before it reverts to the original attack style, with a twist: The Lungfish will blow out as well as breathing in. Make sure you only break the boxes when it breathes in. 3 boxes of nails later, you'll have to run from the Lungfish again. The lungfish will then enter the air bubble with you and phase 2 will begin. Phase 2 Attacks: Spiked Antenna-The Lungfish swings the spiked ball on its antenna when you get close enough. Sucker Fish-Not really an attack, but certainly a hazard. Sucker fish flop around the area, biting onto your head when you step on them and causing severe damage. Lobsters- Lobsters roam the area, pinching you if you touch them, these are a good source of mental health. Phase 2 Strategy: See the clams all around the arena? Lure the Lungfish over to one (it follows you wherever you go), then run up to it and jump away when it swings its antenna. The Lungfish will get stuck in the clam shell, so run up and punch it until it gets unstuck. Then do the whole thing all over again, then one more time. ----------------Boss 4: Kochamara ----------------Found: Kochamara Island, at the end of Lungfishopolis. Recommended Powers: Shield Attacks: (NOTE: Kochamara yells out the name of the attack before performing it) (NOTE 2: Every one of these attacks can be blocked with a shield) Mighty Ram-Kochamara will swoop down and try to slam into you. Deadly Triangle Beam-Don't ask me why it's called that. Kochamara shoots a beam of energy at you. Mighty Ram Ground Version-The same as mighty ram, except on the ground, obviously. Overly Intricate Combination Attack-Kochamara runs at you, wildly swiping. Hard to Avoid Area Attack-Kochamara charges up, then blasts the entire area. Strategy: Smash the buildings if you need mental health. At the start of the fight, Kochamara is flying, and can only perform his first 2 attacks. When he yells "deadly triangle beam!" quickly shield yourself. The beam will be reflected back at Kochamara, damaging him. After three hits, he will drain all your PSI blast ammo (which is okay because you aren't going to need it anyway), then land on the ground. Block his attacks with your shield until he yells "hard to avoid area attack!" Shield yourself, then run up and slap him around a few times. After a bit of this, he'll take flight again; the same strategy applies. Keep using the same attack pattern, and you'll win fairly easily. ------------------Boss 5: Nightmare I -------------------

Found: The Milkman Conspiracy, after leaving the post office with the plunger. Recommended Powers: PSI Blast, Telekinesis Attacks: Hand-A dot appears on the ground and a hand reaches out, trying to hit you. Burrow-The Nightmare vanishes underground, and creates a large red hole that tries to pull you in. Bomb-The Nightmare throws a bunch of bombs which explode if left alone. Strategy: Lock onto him and PSI blast as fast as you can, strafing to avoid his attacks. Once you drain all of his health, he releases a batch of bombs which explode if you leave them too long. Use telekinesis to throw one of the bombs into his open neck. The Nightmare will turn to stone, so whack the statue to break it. -------------------Boss 6: Nightmare II -------------------Found: The Milkman Conspiracy, after leaving the book depository with the phone. The Nightmare will turn to stone, so whack the statue to break it (Yes, this is exactly the same as the previous boss. Good of you to notice). -----------------Boss 7: Den Mother -----------------Found: The Milkman Conspiracy, in the Milkman's hideout. Recommended Powers: PSI blast, Telekinesis, Clairvoyance Attacks: Sewing Needle-The Den Mother throws her needle at you. Hard to see and harder to avoid. My advice-when she yells ANYHTING, get out of the way! Rainbow Treats-The Den Mother throws an explosive box of cookies. It will lie on the ground for a moment before exploding. It has a wide blast radius, so remember-get out of the way when she yells! Strategy: Note the shape of the arena-a central area, with three sets of stairs branching off. The Den Mother spends all of the battle atop these stairs, and will leap between them after receiving a certain amount of damage (I got a glitch once where she was hanging upside-down

between two flights of stairs). Usually she will leap to one, then very quickly leap to another, and stay their until you hit her. Never go any further than the foot of the stairs during the light section of the battle, or you will almost certainly take some hits. Also note the abyss over the edge of the platform-don't fall in, obviously. To hurt the Den Mother, simply stand at the bottom of whatever flight of stairs she's on, lock on, and PSI blast. If a box of cookies is thrown, strafe away from it. Keep moving and blasting to avoid the needles.Usually 1-2 hits will make her jump to another set of stairs. Once you drain about half of her health, the Den Mother will make the room dark so you can't see. An item called the 'God's Eye' will appear in the center of the room, so run towards it and pick it up. Use clairvoyance on it and you will see the room through Den Mother's eyes. You can't PSI Blast anymore, because you can't lock on. Instead, run onto the stairs and throw the Rainbow treats at her with telekinesis. This is much harder, so only toss the boxes that are close to her, as these have a much smaller chance of missing. Three boxes will bring her down...the Milkman awakes! ------------------Boss 8: The Phantom ------------------Found: In the catwalks at the end of Gloria's Theater. Recommended Powers: PSI Blast, Pyrokinesis, Levitation Attacks: Pen Cannons-The Phantom shoots lasers from his pens. To avoid this, try not to get directly in front of him. Steer around him while you're floating, and when you're on the catwalks, keep ahead of him. Strategy: Your first goal is the basket of candles behind the Phantom. Levitate so you can move fast enough to slip past the Phantom's cannons, then deactivate and grab the candles. Levitate back to the orchestra pit, then float up on the music to the catwalks, steering around the cannon-fire on the way up. Once there, stay ahead of the guns and put a candle in one of the spotlights. Use pyrokinesis to light the candle, which will stun the Phantom. Drop back down and lock onto the fallen craft. Shoot it as many times as possible. Make sure to do this quickly, because if you wait too long, Jasper will start to fly again. If this happens, go light the spotlight again. The Flower Actors and Hell Hounds will attack you during this assault, but don't worry because your chain blast will take them out. After losing 1/3 of his life, he'll destroy the spotlight, so float back up and do it all over again with a different one. Three assaults will defeat the JasperPhantom. ------------Boss 9: Tiger ------------Found: Black Velvetopia, in the queen of clubs painting. Recommended Powers: Shield, Levitation, Invisibility Attacks: Swipe-Tiger will swipe at you if you get too close to him. Lunge-Tiger will run and try to grab you-levitate to escape this. Tiger Charge-Tiger will get on all fours, then pounce. Shield yourself

from this. Strategy: This battle it slightly different, in that you have a health bar just like the boss. Your attacks will deplete his bar, and viceversa. This is mostly a battle of brawn, as Tiger is only susceptible to punches or palm bombs, but there are several strategies you can use. The first is invisibility. Go invisible and the Tiger will lose track of you. Run up and punch him a few times, then run away and turn visible again. Another strategy is the shield. Run up to Tiger, put on your shield, and wait for him to swipe. His attack will be blocked, so whack him, then run away or put the shield on again. The final strategy is levitation: levitate above him, then deactivate the bubble and palm megabomb him. If you ever see him collapse, run up and beat the @#$% out of him before he gets up. Repeat these strategies for a farily quick win. --------------Boss 10: Dragon --------------Found: Black Velvetopia, in the queen of hearts painting. Recommended Powers: Shield, Levitation, Invisibility Attacks: Swipe-Dragon will swipe at you if you get too close to him. Lunge-Dragon will run and try to grab you-levitate to escape this. Dragon Roar-Dragon will stand still then sends out fire. You could try avoiding this but it covers most of the ring, so levitate instead. Strategy: This battle it slightly different, in that you have a health bar just like the boss. Your attacks will deplete his bar, and viceversa. This is mostly a battle of brawn, as Dragon is only susceptible to punches or palm bombs, but there are several strategies you can use. The first is invisibility. Go invisible and the Dragon will lose track of you. Run up and punch him a few times, then run away and turn visible again. Another strategy is the shield. Run up to Dragon, put on your shield, and wait for him to swipe. His attack will be blocked, so whack him, then run away or put the shield on again. The final strategy is levitation: levitate above him, then deactivate the bubble and palm megabomb him. It's good to do this right after the Dragon Roar. If you ever see him collapse, run up and beat the @#$% out of him before he gets up. Repeat these strategies for a farily quick win. -------------Boss 11: Eagle -------------Found: Black Velvetopia, in the queen of diamonds painting. Recommended Powers: Levitation Attacks: Swipe-Eagle will swipe at you if you get too close to him. Lunge-Eagle will run and try to grab you-levitate to escape this. Eagle Dive-Eagle flies around in the air (track him with his shadow) and tries to dive-bomb you. Stay ahead of him with levitation. Strategy: This battle it slightly different, in that you have a health bar just like the boss. Your attacks will deplete his bar, and vice-

versa. This is mostly a battle of brawn, as Eagle is only susceptible to punches or palm bombs. One way is to stay on your levitation ball for most of the fight (it really helps to have wrecking ball or rolling havoc). If you see a lull in Eagle's attacks, rush him on the ball, whack him a couple of times, then levitate away before he can catch you. If you see him run at you, levitate out of the way, then attack him while he's recovering. If he flies up in the air, run away from his shadow until he comes down. Smack him around before he rises. If you ever see him collapse, run up and beat the @#$% out of him before he gets up. Repeat these strategies for a fairly quick win. -------------Boss 12: Cobra -------------Found: Black Velvetopia, in the queen of spades painting. Recommended Powers: Confusion, Levitation, Shield Attacks: Swipe-Cobra will swipe at you if you get too close to him. Lunge-Cobra will run and try to grab you-levitate to escape this. Confusion Head-Cobra will take off his head (???) and roll it at you. It will home in on you. Strategy: This battle it slightly different, in that you have a health bar just like the boss. Your attacks will deplete his bar, and viceversa. The fight with Cobra, however, has a twist-he CANNOT be hurt until you've hit him with a confusion grenade. Levitate away when he throws his head, and use shield to block his other attacks. Toss grenades whenever you have an opportunity, and beat him until he regains his senses. After you've deflected an attack is a good time to toss a confusion grenade, but since you can't get hit after throwing one, don't be afraid to confuse Cobra whenever you get half a chance. You should win this fight without too much trouble. ---------------Boss 13: El Odio ---------------Found: The stadium at the end of Black Velvtopia. Recommended Powers: Telekinesis, Levitation, Invisibility Attacks: Charge-El Odio will run at you. Levitate out of the way, or throw him off with invisibility. Strategy: This is an easy fight. The ever-useful levitation will help you move faster, and you can break the roses for mental health. All you need to do is, after El Odio has charged (it's easier if you can make him charge into a wall, try invisibility), use telekinesis to throw the banderillas (spears) at him. You only need to hit him with 4 before the fight ends. -------------------------Boss 14: Dingo Inflagrante -------------------------Found: The stadium at the end of Black Velvtopia.

Recommended Powers: Confusion, Telekinesis Attacks: Teleport-Dingo will warp around the arena. Not really an attacks, but is used to evade your spears. Slash-Dingo will slash with his sword after teleporting. Banderilla-This attack is used against Edgar/El Odio. Dingo will pick up a spear and toss it at the bull. Strategy: This battle has an added twist-you must protect Edgar/El Odio while attacking Dingo. Edgar has a health bar, which is at half because of the 4 spears you hit him with during the last fight. Edgar will heal as these are pulled out, so yank them out with telekinesis as soon as you can. Dingo will also be throwing the banderillas (spears) at Edgar/El Odio, so pull them out as you see them. The roses are key during this fight. You will probably run out of confusion ammo more than once, so break the roses for grenades. You can also get mental health out of them. To defeat Dingo, hit him with a confusion grenade (it's easiest after an attack). Once you do this, Dingo will start thinking he is El Odio, and lose his teleportation power temporarily. Take this opportunity to fling a spear at him with Telekinesis. Just like Edgar/El Odio, four spears will kill him. --------------------------------Boss 15: Psychoblaster Death Tank --------------------------------Found: In the asylum ruins. Recommended Powers: Telekinesis, Pyrokinesis, Shield Attacks: Telekinesis-The Psychoblaster Death Tank picks up a large stone block and throws it at you. Easily blocked with shield. Strategy: Prepare for a battle of telekinesis! The Death Tank's psychic hands build a wooden wall around it, and a ring of stone blocks encircles that. Whenever a hand picks up a block from this ring (which will regenerate unless it is destroyed) drop what you're doing and shield yourself. There are three things you have to do to get a hit in on the Death Tank. FIRST: when you have an opening, use Telekinesis to throw one of the blocks (the ones on the ground) into the ring of blocks, creating a gap. SECOND: When you have created a large enough gap, run in and use Pyrokinesis to burn down the wooden wall. THIRD: Run to the outer ring, wait until the gaps align and throw another block at the tank. Complete this sequence three times to win. ---------------Boss 16: Butcher ---------------Found: Meat Circus, at the end of the Tunnel of Love Recommended Powers: Levitation, Shield Attacks: Cleaver Swipe-The Butcher swings his cleaver across the ground. Sushi Chef-The Butcher slams both his cleavers down, rapidly, alternatively and repeatedly, in a motion across the ground.

Cleaver Chop-The Butcher slams his cleaver into the ground. Strategy: Not a very difficult fight. For starters, every one of his attacks can be blocked with shield. Use levitation to stay ahead of him, and drop to shield whenever he gears up to attack. Make sure not to shield too early, or it'll run out. To beat him, wait until he does the above "cleaver chop" attack. After this, the cleaver will be stuck in the ground. Levitate to the middle of his arm, then levitate again to his head. Punch his head, and you'll be shaken off. Repeat twice to win. ---------------------Boss 17: Fiery Butcher ---------------------Found: Meat Circus, at the end of The Big Top. Recommended Powers: Levitation, Shield, Telekinesis Attacks: Cleaver Swipe-The Butcher swings his cleaver across the ground. Sushi Chef-The Butcher slams both his cleavers down, rapidly, alternatively and repeatedly, in a motion across the ground. Cleaver Chop-The Butcher slams his cleaver into the ground. Flaming Pin-Your evil dad will throw flaming pins at you. Strategy: Partly the same as the last one. The Butcher has the same attacks, and the arena is the same, but there is a huge difference: the Butcher is on fire, so you can't run up his cleaver like last time. To avoid the attacks, follow the previous procedure. Every one of his attacks can be blocked with shield. Use levitation to stay ahead of him, and drop to shield whenever he gears up to attack. Make sure not to shield too early, or it'll run out. The key to victory is the flaming pins thrown by your father. Stay out of the way of the shadows to avoid getting hit by them. When they've landed, use Telekinesis to lob them at the Butcher's knees. With a successful hit, he'll fall over. Hit his head and he'll get up; repeat twice to win. ------------------------------Boss 18: Two-Headed Dad Monster ------------------------------Found: Meat Circus, after beating the Fiery Butcher. Recommended Powers: Levitation, Shield Attacks: Stomp-The Dad Monster will stomp on you. Cleaver Swing-The Dad Monster swings its cleaver. (NOTE: Both these attack occur only when you are small. Levitation and shield, like before, will keep you out of harm's way) Strategy: For the final boss of Psychonauts, this guy is surprisingly easy. Use levitation and shield to keep protected while the meter in the top-right charges. Once it's at the top, hit triangle to become a giant energy monster. Smash the Dad Monster's feeble cleaver defence (1 punch) and smack it around until you shrink. Repeat until death. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Version History
