The Dent & Buckle Chart allows to know the presence and the location of external structural damages not involving flight safety and, for this purpose, it is enclosed and maintained in ATLB (Aircraft Technical Log Book) retainer. For permanent repair management refer to NOTE 1. Any time an external structural damage not involving flight safety is found in the airplane, Certifying Staff must fill up the form reporting all related information (dimensions, SRM/HSMM references, engineering communication, etc.) following the below instructions: 1. On the left side : Item n : Damage progressive number Date : Record date of the finding Description and Dimension : Short description and dimensions of the damage Inspector Signature : This signature certifies the identification of the damage 2. On the right side : A (Acceptable) : Report the AMM/SRM reference for acceptable damage T (Temporary) : Report the document issued for handling the deferred action Date : Record date of the corrective action. In particular: - For Acceptable (A) records, report date of acceptable damage record - For Temporary (T) records, report date of corrective action accomplishment. Inspector Signature : Certifying Staff signature 3. Identify the damage location and corresponding progressive number with an arrow and related number NOTE 1 : Permanent Repair are not present in the D&BC because reported on the Structure Repair File. NOTE 2 : At any Annual-Check, the DBC is cleaned up from all damaged permanent repaired, and a new form must be compiled by the Contracted Approved Part 145 Maintenance Organisation (AMO) that perform the check. Original DBC must be removed from the airplane and sent to Inaer CAMO Engineering Department
