Preparatory Project Procedures 2013-14

Please refer to page 32 of the Student Handbook. You have received three topics over the last 3 weeks. These topics will now be used to write the Preparatory Project. You will choose one topic and title that you will address in your project. Your choices are: 1. Hunger Hunger continues to be a critical issue in many parts of the world. Evaluate one solution to deal with this problem in a specific country or area. 2. Human Rights Evaluate the arguments for and against prisoners in the UK being allowed to vote. 3. Bilingual Education Bilingual education is being practiced in many forms in many different countries. Briefly describe bilingual education in a specific country/region and educational context. Evaluate the extent to which it is beneficial.

The word limit for the Preparatory Project is 1000 words (see Word Count Policy). It should contain a minimum of four academic sources, which must be correctly referenced using the Chicago Manual of Style. You may use the texts provided on Moodle, as well others you find.
