The imaginary &ilith seems to ha)e first appeared in an ephemeris printed in England in the <=th century. The name and mo)ement were the same as !)y 1oldstein3s ephemeris, but the positions were different. That is, &ilith was said to mo)e three degrees a day bac(ward through the Bodiac, but the English ephemeris put it in a different part of the Bodiac. 2till a third ephemeris was once shown to me in Florida, again gi)ing the same three degrees a day motion but putting the phantom &ilith in a different sign than either of the other sources.
