FREEDOM: THE ABILITY TO RETURN HOME

By Dawn Edwards, August 7, 2009

The Hebrew definition of the word FREEDOM is THE ABILITY TO RETURN HOME! YHVH
delivered his children from BONDAGE to EGYPT so that they could go back home to
land He had Promised to Abraham and his descendents:

Exodus 3:6-8 “He said also, "I am the Elohim [authority] of your father, the
Elohim of Abraham, the Elohim of Isaac, and the Elohim of Jacob. “ Then Moses hid
his face, for he was afraid to look at Elohim. YHVH said, "I have surely seen the
affliction of My people who are in Egypt, and have given heed to their cry because
of their taskmasters, for I am aware of their sufferings. So I have come down to
deliver them from the power of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land
to a good and spacious land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place
of the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Amorite and the Perizzite and the Hivite
and the Jebusite.

As soon as they were set FREE from BONDAGE to EGYPT he gave them a set of
instructions called TORAH so that they could live Holy (set apart) lives,
different from the nations around them:

Exodus 19:5 – 6 “'Now then, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant,
then you shall be My own possession among all the peoples, for all the earth is
Mine; and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' "

Leviticus 19:2 “Speak to all the congregation of the sons of Israel and say to
them, ' You shall be holy, for I YHVH your Elohim am holy.”

If we plug the definition of FREEDOM into these verses we can see the deeper
meaning…

Isaiah 61: 1 “The Spirit of the Lord YHVH is upon me, because YHVH has anointed me
to bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to captives and the ability to return home to prisoners;”

Galatians 4: 26 - 5: 1 “But the Jerusalem above is free; she is our mother. For it
is written, "REJOICE, BARREN WOMAN WHO DOES NOT BEAR; BREAK FORTH AND SHOUT, YOU
WHO ARE NOT IN LABOR; FOR MORE NUMEROUS ARE THE CHILDREN OF THE DESOLATE
THAN OF THE ONE WHO HAS A HUSBAND." And you brethren, like Isaac, are children of
promise. But as at that time he who was born according to the flesh persecuted him
who was born according to the Spirit, so it is now also. But what does the
Scripture say? "CAST OUT THE BONDWOMAN AND HER SON, FOR THE SON OF THE BONDWOMAN
SHALL NOT BE AN HEIR WITH THE SON OF THE FREE WOMAN." So then, brethren, we are
not children of a bondwoman, but of the free woman. It was for the ability to
return home that Messiah set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be
subject again to a yoke of slavery.”

II Corinthians 3:14 – 17 “But their minds were hardened; for until this very day
at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains un-lifted, because it
[the veil] is removed in Messiah. But to this day whenever Moses is read, a veil
lies over their heart; but whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken
away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is
the ability to return home.”

And what shall WE do WHEN WE RETURN HOME? Live like children of Israel and keep
TORAH:
Micah 4: 1 – 2 “And it will come about in the last days That the mountain of the
house of YHVH Will be established as the chief of the mountains It will be raised
above the hills, And the peoples will stream to it. Many nations will come and
say, "Come and let us go up to the mountain of YHVH And to the house of the Elohim
of Jacob, That He may teach us about His ways And that we may walk in His paths "
For from Zion will go forth the law [TORAH], Even the word of the YHVH from
Jerusalem.”

In the LAST DAYS, when Yeshua returns, He will be looking for a BRIDE that is MADE
READY…

Revelation 19:6-8 “Then I heard something like the voice of a great multitude and
like the sound of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder,
saying, "Hallelujah! For the YHVH our Elohim, the Almighty, reigns. "Let us
rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has
come and His bride has made herself ready."It was given to her to clothe herself
in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the
saints.”

Deuteronmy 6: 23 – 25 “He brought us out from there in order to bring us in, to

give us the land which He had sworn to our fathers.' "So the LORD commanded us to
observe all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God for our good always and for
our survival, as it is today. "It will be righteousness for us if we are careful
to observe all this commandment before YHVH our Elohim, just as He commanded us.

It would seem then, that we should clothe ourselves with TORAH so that YESHUA will
recognize us as HIS BRIDE when HE RETURNS TO TAKE US BACK HOME!
