OFFERINGS November Thank Offering Today, Cedar Church will collect our annual Thank Offering for the work of OPC Foreign & Home Missions and Christian Education. Please remember this ministry generously. Please place your gift in the enclosed envelope, and make checks payable to Cedar Church. ANNOUNCEMENTS Thanksgiving Service at Harvest OPC - Please join us Wednesday evening, November 27, at 7:00 pm for our Annual Thanksgiving Service. You are invited to stay for a time of refreshments and fellowship after the service as well. Harvest is located at 930 52nd St. SW, Wyoming, MI 49509. Hope to see you there! Ottawa County Jail Ministry This afternoon, Cedar Church will host a chapel service at the Ottawa County Jail from 1:45 PM - 3:00 PM. Please keep the men in your prayers as they minister to the inmates.

ANNOUNCEMENTS Holiday Luncheon - In two weeks, on Dec. 8, our wonderful Christmas fellowship dinner will happen! If you have never attended you should break that habit and start a new one, Christian fellowship is the tie that binds us, besides eating is fun. This year Cedar will be providing the HAM and we the people will be bring the sides and desserts, you can either bring two sides, or one side and a dessert. We hope to have guests so be generous as you usually are. Look for the sign up or Rebecca VanDyke will be looking for you. Calling All Musicians Young & Old! Lynn Igo is organizing our soloists and duets, vocal or instrumental, for the Christmas Luncheon on December 8th. Please contact Lynn if you can contribute or if you have any questions. Interested in Church Membership at Cedar? Pastor Steve will hold a membership seminar Wednesday, December 11th, from 78:30 PM for anyone interested in learning more about church membership at Cedar. Please register through our Connection Cards, or speak to Pastor Steve. Congratulations! Maxwell Scott Benczkowski was born November 16, 2013 at 3:59 p.m. He weighed in at 8lbs. 6 oz. and 20 1/4 inches. Maxwell is the son of Chris and Allison Benczkowski, Cedars newest friends. Please welcome all of them to Cedar!
Hearing assist units are available from the soundmen located at the left side of the auditorium. Please feel free to ask for one. For the benefit of those who would like to hear the service while caring for a little one, we have a cry room equipped with speakers located in the Teachers Lounge across the hall from the gym. You are welcome to use this as needed. If you are new to Cedar, please stop by our literature table in the foyer for more information about Cedar and a gift for you. CHRISTMAS OUTREACH This Christmas, God will prompt millions of people around the world to attend church. For some reason, people who dont normally go to church will make a decision to do so at Christmas. What can you do? Join us for our Christmas Outreach in 2 Weeks! On Sunday, December 8th, we will begin our Christmas celebration with a special service at 9:30 AM and our annual Holiday Musical Luncheon at 11AM. Make plans to attend! Invite Your Family & Friends Would you consider inviting someone who doesnt go to church to join you on Sunday, December 8th for morning worship and our Christmas Luncheon at 11 AM? A neighbor with no family nearby, an unchurched coworker, or a long time friend are all more likely to say yes to a church invitation at Christmas. Would you commit to invite at least three un-churched friends and/or family members? 1. _____________ 2. _____________ 3. _____________ Prayer If you are hesitant to invite people you know to church, you can begin by taking the less-intimidating step of praying for your friends (listed above) and for the church during our Christmas outreach. Would you commit to pray daily? Yes, I will pray daily! Special Sermon Series On outreach Sunday, December 8th, Pastor Steve will begin a 3 week advent sermon series entitled The Songs of Christmas, a series on the first stirring Christmas songs ever sung in the Bible by the angels, Mary and Simeon. We will also have special gifts as a way of saying thank you to our guests that day.

COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS Volunteer Opportunity - Love INC is in need of one or two volunteers in our Sorting Warehouse on Tuesday mornings from 9:00 am 1:00 pm and Thursday afternoons from 12:30-5:00 pm. If you are someone who enjoys meeting people and organizing items this is the place for you. Training is always provided. Zion Christian Music Program Zion Christian School is holding its annual Christmas Music Program on December 16, at First Byron CRC. The program will begin at 7:00 PM. Please join us for a wonderful evening as we celebrate our Saviors birth. Budget Class Instructors Needed - Love INC is looking for volunteers to teach Biblical Financial Principles to clients enrolled in the LOVING HELP Budget Program. The program runs yearround and in 4-week segments. It is a 1-hour per week commitment (plus prep time) on Wednesday mornings -ORThursday evenings. You can commit to one 4-week term, multiple terms in a row, or intermittent terms throughout the year. Class sizes vary. All teaching materials (including basic script and PowerPoint) and training is provided. If you are looking to serve and have a passion to help people manage their financial situation through Biblical principles, please contact Diane DeBoer at dianed@loveinthenameofchrist.org or 616.662.3300x102 for more information. Need at Jehovah Jireh - Able bodied male, age 14 or older, to take care of incoming food on Friday mornings at Jehovah Jireh Ministries. The Bible is sincerely loved, and we hope that you will find it opened up to you in a fresh and faithful manner each Sunday. A NURSERY is available near the entrance of the gymnasium, but children are always welcome in the worship service. COFFEE BREAK After the morning worship, please join us in the gym for coffee and refreshments. KIDS BREAK After morning worship, all kids (Preschool thru 6th grade) are invited to the orchestra room for snacks and fun songs with Mrs. Himebook.
