Course Description Situation: A pilot has never held the respective type rating before, but is current on another Airbus type. The authorities give credits for the knowledge of the base aircraft. Only those elements have to be taught, which are different from the base aircraft. A CCQ course is an abbreviated type rating course. Lufthansa Flight Trainings type rating courses can be enriched with additional training, as requested by the customer: AWO RNP RNAV ETOPS ZFTT From A320 Due to the commonality between the base aircraft and the target aircraft, no extra training time is required. We offer all kinds of CCQ-variants. In 90% of all cases, we offer instructors, having their own experiences on the base model; consequently, they are able to exactly explain
the differences. Course Goal The aim of each type rating training course is to achieve the relevant rating according Part-FCL.725.

Prerequisites for Student Pilots For the Non-ZFTT-Course: For the ZFTT-Course:

Oral and written English skills according to ICAO Level 4 Valid CPL with ATPL credit or valid ATPL Valid multi engine IFR rating Valid class 1 medical certificate Valid type rating on the base aircraft for at least three months At least 150 hours experience on the base aircraft

Training Documents Every student pilot will receive the following documents and data during the welcome session: Course syllabus Training record incl. all check forms A handout concerning technical system description: Student pilots of a contracted operator will receive the complete OM-B from their operator. Private trainees receive a training handout of the relevant parts of the aircraft operations manual(s). Training-QRH: Student pilots of a contracted operator will receive the QRH from their operator. Private trainees receive a training QRH. Personal data for WBT-access Contact data (e-mail address and/or telephone number) for instructor-assistance during the WBT-phase

Theoretical training is mainly performed using a state-of-the-art CBT/WBT program (in CBT-room of any Lufthansa Flight Training learning center, Student pilots can contact an instructor via mail or telephone throughout the theoretical phase of the course. WBT courseware is available seven days/24 hours during the course. Course introduction, one classroom lecture, and at least one Q&A sessions with the assistance of an instructor are provided as a minimum. Additional classroom sessions can be provided at the customers discretion.
Practical Training & Checking Practical training is performed entirely on the full flight simulator. The minimum amount of FFS training is either one, three, or four missions of four hours each. Each practical training is preceded by a one-hour briefing and followed by a detailed debriefing by the instructor. The last FFS training mission is a progress check to properly document that the trainee is ready for the skill test. Each CCQ course finishes with a skill test on the FFS. The test will be taken by an examiner of Lufthansa Flight Training or by an examiner of the customer-airline. Due to the commonality between the base aircraft and the target aircraft, landing training can be included in the skill test. If a ZFTT course is intended, a special authorization by the relevant CAA and a specific agreement between Lufthansa Flight Training and the customer-airline are required, which have to be signed and approved prior starting the CCQ course.
