During the Tendering phase of the !ro"ect: CMT proposed a concept design of the station 5hich 5as modelled on the recentl constructed 2tation !iazza Bologna of @ome >ine ? Metro. The conceptual design of the station consisted of a narro5 station 3o/: pro$iding the space for a concourse area as 5ell as escalators 5ith a stac&ed platform solution reHuiring the tunnels to run one a3o$e the other.

The station is a special station located at Jammel 2trand partl 3elo5 2lotsholms&analen. Jammel 2trand station is classed as a KspecialL station due to its uniHue location and la out. All station elements at street le$el: including the emergenc e/it stair and $entilation openings are located close to and along the Hua 5all. Also the lift is located close to the Hua 5all 3ehind the main stair. Due to the station 3eing located partl 3elo5 the 2lotsholms&analen the station 3o/ has 3een lo5ered so that the roof of the technical le$el: 5hich is eHui$alent to the normal station roof le$el: is 3elo5 the 3ottom of the canal.
