Read the passage and complete the following task. Reading is a very good habit. Parents should encourage their children to start reading from a very early age. Children who start reading from young learn to develop a love for reading and for books in general. Young readers also learn to be able to sit down quietly for the time it takes them to complete the books. This gives them the ability to focus on what they are doing which will help them later on in their schooling years. When children learn to read, they are introduced to a new world, where they learn new vocabulary and more often than not, have very good general knowledge. In schools, it has also been found that those who are happy to read and able to read well are very confident young children compared to their friends who have not picked up the reading habit.
