1. What do you mean by healthy lifestyle? Answer:

According to World Health Organization (WHO), Health as a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not simply just the absence of disease.

Healthy lifestyle means living happy, fit, and energetic at reduced risk for disease, based on the choices you make about your daily habits. Healthy living, to me must include a balance in all aspects of health; physical, spiritual, mental, emotional, environmental and social. Good nutrition, daily exercise and adequate sleep are the foundations for continuing good health. Managing stress in positive ways, instead of through smoking or drinking alcohol, reduces wear and tear on your body at the hormonal level. For a longer and more comfortable life, put together your plan for a healthy lifestyle and live up to it. Following a healthy lifestyle means doing what you can to keep your body and mind in optimum shape.

2. How can you lead a healthy lifestyle staying in an unhealthy Dhaka city? Answer:
Dhaka City, the capital of Bangladesh, has the highest population density in the world with population of 14.39 million that is about 40% of the urban population and 9.30% of the national population of the country. Day by day, the environment of the Dhaka city is being dirty. And now a day, Dhaka city is one of the unhealthy city for us. If i want to lead my life healthy in this city, then i need to be aware about some topic/problem.

At first, the environment of Dhaka city is not good for health. So many industries, Bus, Truck, Motor cycle are in here. These things create smoke, dirty waste, that polluting the environment. So first, I need to select a proper place to live healthy, in where the environment is healthy. I live in Bashundhara residential area. This place is not so much polluted and also the environment is good. So, the environmental problem is solved for me.

At second, I need choose food that contains minimal amounts of unhealthy fats. Unhealthy fats include both Trans fats and saturated fats. These fats will raise your LDL cholesterol, and elevated LDL cholesterol often correlates with an increased risk for heart disease. Also I need to eat variety of different whole foods instead of eating processed foods, such as eat fruits, vegetable, lean meat, beans, low-fat dairy product etc.. And very most important think is that before eating, must clean or wash the food.

At third, I need to take some exercise. Because I live in Basundhara residential area, I get a good environment for a jogging or for a walking in free air. I need to take it for every day at least 30 minutes. And also I can go to the gym 3 to 5 times per week. Also games or leagues in my area provide a way to receive adequate exercise.

At fourth, I must avoid to take excessive smoking and alcohol intake, because, these things are very dangerous for health.

At fifth, I need to get adequate sleep that is crucial for weight reduction and health. According to the University of Chicago Medical Center, Sleep deprivation triggers the release of unwanted hormones such as cortisol, which alters glucose metabolism resulting in fat storage. Sleeping at least eight hours a night will help promote regular glucose metabolism and limit weight gain.

And last one is reducing my stress. Because, controlling stress is another method of creating a healthy lifestyle. Like sleep deprivation, high levels of stress activate hormone release, including cortisol, which modifies glucose metabolism. Unwanted food cravings typically occur during high levels of stress. Control my daily stress by first identifying certain causes and create steps to reduce stress levels. One method could be performing deep-breathing techniques for five to 10 minutes when stress levels are heightened. Yoga can be an outlet for levels of stress and relaxation from your stress-filled life. There are also many topics to lead a healthy life in Dhaka city. If I properly follow these rules, I can lead a healthy lifestyle in unhealthy Dhaka city.

THE END
