***IF YOU LOSE YOUR CLASS ACCESS AT ANY TIME FOLLOW THIS PROCEDURE FIRST***
You are always in the class with your Google ID, and have accepted the invitation, so you have to get in manually if you didnt save it to your computer. It's pretty simple to get in and out of the class blog using Google ID. Use this procedure to also put the class on multiple devices. You are in THIS GROUP(do not click this link, type it): http://letterlove101-18.blogspot.com (or the blog address, that appears in your browser, such as letterlove10119, letterlove101-20, etc., as there are several numbered class groups) All you do is TYPE THE LINK EXACTLY(do not click the link, type it.) in that address into your browser and it takes you to a prompt that asks for your Google ID and password. Type that in and it takes you into the classroom every time. But save the site on your computer and you don't have to contact me each time you need to get in. :-)

2) SUPPLIES AND TOOLS

SUPPLIES for LETTERING and ART JOURNALING:
I am committed to providing you with an exceptional experience loaded with tips, techniques and information I have gathered over the years as an artist and teacher. These are all the things that I wish I could have learned in one place, lucky you!

These are all the supplies I use in my own artwork and what I will use for this course. You are not obligated to own all these supplies, these are personal preferences for my artwork. Use what you have and pursue the lessons and techniques at your own pace. If you cannot obtain the specific supplies where you live, use your best judgment to get something comparable. You can find these items at your favorite art supply store, or refer to the "Favorite Vendors" list below. 4) CLASS ETIQUETTE
1. Fun Rules! Be open to learning new things, or seeing things you already know in a different light. 2. Take your time, no need to rush through every lesson. Allow yourself to enjoy this experience over and over again. You "bought the book" meaning the class is open forever, for you to reference. 3. Be positive always! Share your thoughts, ideas, in our private Facebook group and your photos in the Flickr group. Please know that you might have to register (Facebook Flickr, Google) to log into those services as well. 4. If you are unhappy or struggling with something, please contact me first to address your concerns, and allow 24-36 hours for me to respond. EMAIL: jzsharpe@yahoo.com 5. Share your creative victories and encourage others when you can and "just be" artfully happy! In an effort to begin establishing an industry standard, i am also including this piece with permission,by my friend and colleague Pam Carriker. I think she perfectly addresses the online education genre in her book "Art at the Speed of Life" : Choose a class from an artist whose work you are drawn to. Read the class description, check out the supply list, ask other attendees for feedback, and if you have questions, don't hesitate to ask. Go into the class with an open mind, intending to learn the techniques and apply them to your own work. Classes aren't usually a paint-by-number deal; they're for gaining new tools to implement in your own creative way. A class is a jumping-off point, not the end of the road. Every teacher has their own style. Not every class will be a fit for every participant. If you find a teacher's style isn't right for you, find a different teacher for your next experience. Be courteous. Just because there is no face-to-face interaction, what you say and do does affect other people. Negativity hampers creativity. If you have a problem, direct it to the teacher first. Everyone comes to class with the intent to learn and have fun so its important not to ruin that for others.

Sharing is a big part of the community that an online class creates. Seeing what everyone creates with the lessons given is inspiring. But to be fair to the teacher, who must work hard to prepare a class and teach it, don't share your lessons with friends who haven't paid for the class.
