Lead a team of 23 servicing Purchasing, Warehouse, Distribution, Print Shop, Courier and
Central Service
Coordinated the selection, purchase, delivery and installation of equipment, furniture,
fixtures and signage for a $65M construction project that included the hospitals entry into
the Open Heart program.
Equipment Project manager for numerous renovations and relocations which included 32
bed Surgical Inpatient unit, 8 bed Labor, Delivery and Recovery unit including 2 C-section
suites, 6 physician offices and a Bariatric and Wound Care Center.
Revised Clinical Quality Value Analysis program achieving $1.8M in savings in 2008.
Coordinated reduction of copier/printing devices by 75 units resulting in $180K savings.
Implemented Stockless/JIT inventory program. Achieved inventory reduction from $620K
to $240K.
Increased return on investment with GPO (VHA) by $217K in first year.
Implemented new Purchasing computer system (McKessons Pathways Materials
Management) and led team with two subsequent upgrades.
Implemented Courier service which grew from .5 to 2.0 FTE with a resultant savings of
$45K annually.
