Stillwater Community Church

To Hold Live Nativity Walk
Stillwater Community Church will sponsor its 18th Annual Live
Nativity Walk Friday and Saturday, Dec. 6 and 7. The event will begin
at 6 p.m. both nights, with the last walk commencing at 8:30 p.m.
Walks will start every half hour, for a total of six walks each evening.
Admission is free.
Each Nativity Walk will take participants back in time and tell the
story of the Birth of our Savior. They will walk to the home of Mary,
follow Mary to Elizabeths home, walk into the carpenters shop of
Joseph, travel to the Inn, visit with the shepherds, and listen as the angels announce the Birth of Jesus. They will then travel with the shepherds to the stable.
At the conclusion of each walk, those attending can warm up
around the fire and enjoy hot chocolate, cookies, and fellowship.
Stillwater Community Church is located off St. Rt. 48, between
Covington and Pleasant Hill. Turn west off St. Rt. 48 on to Sugar
Grove Rd.

Breakfast With Santa December 7
Covington United Church of Christ will host its annual Breakfast
With Santa on Saturday, Dec. 7, starting at 9 a.m.
Whether you are young in age or young at heart, you are invited
to attend and enjoy pancakes, sausage, and a beverage. Santa will arrive with a gift bag for all children.

Newtons 22nd Annual Senior Citizens Dinner

To Be Held Wednesday, December 11

Meijer Simply Give Program Partners with COA

Covington Outreach Association (COA) has been very honored to have partnered with the Troy Meijer's
"Simply Give" food pantry program to help less fortunate families in the community. This program has
become a very important way of supporting the local food bank.
"Simply Give" is heavily backed by local churches, local businesses, private benefactors and friends of
the COA. The organization worked hard to spread the word about the wonderful dollar-for-dollar matching
program Meijer "Simply Give" offers. COA officials are very pleased to announce that the organization
was recently awarded $29,020.00 in gift cards from Meijer's fall program to help stock the shelves in the
community food pantry.
The COA realizes that the slow economy has made it very difficult for those needing help when they
look at the statistics for their own outreach ministries. Covington Outreach Association is currently serving
an average 75 families' emergency assistance needs each month. Numbers show them that 1/2 of the families
that the COA assists are working but not able to pay their bills and provide meals for their children at the
same time. Meijer "Simply Give" allows food pantry dollars to go much further in providing help for those
who are working hard just to get by. The COA thanks Meijer for its overwhelming generosity in supporting
Covington's fight to stop hunger in the community.
