Theoretical Research

As Fast Drilling International Company, we have selected selected French Model to solve our problems during the design process. Acoording to his model, we will follow the follw owing steps: Find the definition of what need is Analysis of the problem Statement of the problem Conceptual design Selected schemes Embodiment of schemes Detailing Working drawings While designing our project effectively, we need to first designated the procedural solution methods which are applied. In order to use these methods correctly, it is essential that we need to do a theoretical research. In our project, we divided our discussions into four main topics: Drilling Location, Drilling Method, Production Method and HSE(Health, safety and environment). The following steps will enter into details of the methods to be used throughout of the design process. They are as follows: Drilling Location Log analysis Map analysis Analysis of production data Prognosis of formation to be drilled Correlations Estimation of the reserves Drilling Method Casing design Drill string design Drill time estimation Bit design and hydraulics design Cement design

Mud design Production Method Rig selection Blow-out preventer and well head design Production design Health, Safety and Environment Analysis of Production Data As Fast Drilling International Company, our first aim is to meet our clients needs and while doing that minimizing cost, environmental impact and risk of failure. In order to do this, we believe that it is necessary to make an extensive information about the field. This information is gained from the old production data taken. Evaluation of production data has a vital importance to reveal the crude oil and lithological properties within the reservoir. While we studying the data of production data, we can detect the physical and chemical properties of reservoir fluids. It must be remembered that during production process, properties of petroleum is changing. In addition to this, from the production data we get, we can also recognize the reservoir size and the amount of oil that can be produced. They all can be summarized as follows: Evaluation of the production data to get a plot of P/Z vs Gp. By using this plot, we are able to find the maximum recovery factor. Moreover, we can determine reservoir type that may be volumetric reservoir or water drive reservoir. By using the same plot, we can find the initial reservoir pressure and size of the reservoir. We are able to construct the pressure decline curves to specify the life of the reservoir. By using our knowledge, we can get a suitable abondonment pressure accordingly our clients principles. To do that, we consider the avaliable water cut base line that will be drown to the same graph. We can calculate the skin effect. We can detect the fractures of the reservoir from the pressure differential curves. We can also get the information about the fractures such as their extent, type. We are able to get the information about if reservoir exhibits a double porosity behaviour and well storage effect.
