You can use Facebook to identify two fan pages about PlayStation. Lets take the following pages: Playstation 4: https://www.facebook.com/PlayStation.Band

Take notes of all Brands Products Services Toys and others liked by your audiences.

Please note that you dont need all fan pages. Focus on pages that are directly related to your target niche. As I repeatedly said, be as targeted as possible. I would always prefer to categorize as Precise interest: Such as PlayStation 2 , Playstation 3 or PS 4 etc Related interest such as product names or Brands Like Sony PlayStation In some niches, you should also consider things like organizations, associations, games, music, athletes, etc liked by your audiences.

Please remember that, the point you need to note is that... First you are going to bid on precise interest. If there is high competition or want to expand you campaign, you can use related interested. Action: Take notes of all pages, related to your target topic.

To create as targeted ads as possible, focus only on precise interest. Please remember that I am not saying, terms with hashtags or related terms dont work. They really work. But, it is always, recommended to focus, first on the Precise interests and likes. If there is tough competition for the precise interest or want to scale your campaign, you can use the terms with Hashtags or related terms. Make also sure to brainstorm terms like PS3 and others

Here is how you do it For the sake of demonstration, lets use Playstation games toy niche First, identify an authority site in your niche. Since you are interested on the demographic data, click Demographics link located at the right side of the page. Once you click the link, you are going to get all the details about the demographic of your audience. You are going to need the age group and gender of your audiences. Gender Age group

Step 3: Create Compelling and Relevant AD Copy
By now, you know who your audiences are, their interest and pages they have liked. If you do it properly, it is fair to say that you know almost every detail of your audience. Next, is to create an ad copy that appeals to your target audience. So, in this section, I am going to show you how to create a very simple and powerful ad copy. But, before we get started I want to remind you that If you want to get the most with Facebook ad, as I said earlier, you need to have a compelling and relevant ad copy that produces the best CTR possible. This is critical! The two important words here are 1. Compelling: you need a high CTR ad. High CTR equals LOW CPC. 2. Relevant: You Want to Create Ads that Resonates with Your Audience. You are going to design your ad taking into consideration these two key points. As a reminder Facebook ad copy has three components

Let me briefly explain the first point

High CTR Equals Low CPC


If you are promoting CPA offers or sales based affiliate programs with Facebook ads, it is best to bid on CPC (cost per click) basis. But, for like campaigns, it is recommended to bid on CPM basis. In simple terms, if you want to use Facebook ads to build your fan base, you are going to bid on CPM basis. Which means, you are going to pay for every thousand impression of your ad. What does this mean? If you design high CTR ads, you are going to get lots of clicks. If your ad sucks, you are going to waste your money. To make things as simple as possible, lets take an example For instance, lets say you are paying 10 cents for thousand impressions. If your CTR is 0.1%, you will get 1 click for thousand impressions. At the end, you are going to pay 10 cents per click. Because, your CTR is too low. If you improve your CTR to 0.2%, you are going to pay 5 cents per click. Better that the first. But, if you further improve your CTR to 1%, you are going to pay only 1 cent per click. Did you get what I mean? The higher your CTR is, the smaller your cost per click is going to be. The Catch If you really want to get cheap traffic, you must create high CTR ad. The Game is going to be all about CTR. High CTR Equals Low CPC. But, remember that relevance is also important. Create compelling and relevant Ad. You need quality traffic that likes your pages. That being the truth, lets start with an Image part of the ad

How to Pick Compelling Image for Your Facebook Ad
As I have repeatedly noted, if you really want to get cheap clicks and likes with FB, you need to have compelling and relevant ad. And, you have to clearly understand that the image and title part of an ad copy are used to attract your audience attention. Image plays great role in boosting the CTR of your campaign. In fact, it contributes more than 70%. Therefore, if you really want to create highly effective ad, you need to pick the right image. I cant stress this enough. This is very critical. The image part is the most influential and critical element used for gaining your audience attention. If your ad fails to capture your prospects attention, your ad fails completely. So, I highly recommend you to create very compelling image that attracts your audience attention. Now, the most important question that comes next is How do you pick a compelling and magnetic image that attracts your audience attention? It is simple The images should be Relevant and compelling: For instance for the Playstation niche we used earlier, you need to pick a compelling image that resonates with your audience.

Let me show the image I used to get more that 1.7% CTR in Playstation niche. Instead of using the obvious PS4 images, I used an image of one of the games included in PS4. Here is the ad I used to consistently get 1.683% CTR

You can see this image resonates with the PS audience. Because, PS lovers enjoy playing games. Even though I was getting huge CTR, 1.683% consistently, I ended up paying $0.02 CPC. Because, the niche is extremely competitive with high Average CPC. The Take Away Use unique, relevant and compelling image that resonates with your target audience. Another important point I want to remind you is that Ad blindness is very common with Facebook ad. To minimize the effect of ad blindness, you need to select very unique images. I highly recommend you to split test multiple varieties of images and identify the best performing once. One point that I want to make very clear is Facebook ad is all about split testing. So, I highly recommend you split test as many images as possible so as to come with the best CTR image. Copyright 2013

Let me summarize: Select Compelling Image If your images are compelling, chances are that you are going to get high CTR. So, make sure to prepare images which are very compelling and magnetic. Your Image Should be Relevant To Your Ad And Offer It is always recommended to pick images which are relevant to your niches. Add Borders Adding border also has an impact in increasing the CTR of your Ads. So, make sure that you add borders to your images In the case study I showed you earlier, I never used border. But, on most occasions, image with a red border works tremendously. So , take advantage of it . Use Picture that resonated with your target If you penetrate your prospects mind, most probably, you are going to get more response. And, one of the most effective ways to enter your prospects mind is to pick images which resonates with you target audience. Please remember that I have covered a lot about images, because it is the most important part of your ad. Dont complicate things. Make it simple try lots of relevant and compelling images and stick with the once with the highest CTR. The Next important part is title

The purpose of title is to get your prospects attention. So, if you really want to attract your audiences attention, you need to have very powerful title. The good news for like campaigns, creating a powerful title is very simple. Please dont complicate this part. Asking questions is the most powerful to attract your audience attention. Do you Love PlayStation? We love PlayStation I love Playstation Love Play station? , etc Make it so simple. Finally lets see how to write powerful description For like campaigns, it is so simple. Try to create a very simple, with call to action. Like Click Like if you love PlayStation.

Lets recap If you want to create highly powerful ad copy, answer the following question. Is your ad Relevant? Compelling? Does it stand out from the rest of other ads on Facebook? Make borders, rotate it, use unique, weird and fresh images, makes it touchy, etc. You also need to remember image would contribute about 70%. Picking the right image is the critical part of the game. Let me summarize it To make things as clear as possible, let me give one of my highest CTR ads

Title Make simple and powerful headline that attracts your audience attention. Ask them a question that resonates with them.

Description Just like headline, use simple description for your ads.

Image The more relevant, compelling, unique and fresh your image is the higher CTR you are going to get. So, I highly recommend you to use relevant, unique, fresh and compelling images. I also recommend you to test lots of images and stick with highest CTR ads.

In the previous sections, I showed you how to prepare all you need to build highly successful ad campaign. In this section, I am going to show you how to set up a new Facebook campaign. But, before you get started, please prepare all items you need. Here is a list of items you need to prepare before you get started:1. A country to target .This is where your audiences are located. 2. Age group 3. Gender of your audience 4. Interests of your audience 5. Pages your audiences have liked 6. Title for your ad 7. Image ( Prepare lots of relevant and compelling images) 8. Description of your ad If any of the points mentioned above are not clear for you, go back and refer the manual again. If everything is ready, lets get started

Ad Setup Step 1: Select Your Fan page
To create your new ad campaign, first Login to Your Account and click https://www.facebook.com/ads/create After clicking the link above youll be taken to a page that looks like the image below: Under the What do you want to advertise? question, Select the fan page your want to advertise

Next, At this time, you are not going to run Sponsored ads. Therefore please click Remove link.

Next, you are going to enter the demographics of your interest. Please, use your data collected in the earlier steps. For country targeting, please enter countries your audiences are located. You can enter United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, etc depending who you want to target.

Ad Setup Step 5: Enter Your Audience Interest and Likes
In the earlier section of the blueprint, I showed you powerful ways to identify the interest and likes of your audience. Now, you are going to use them here. Enter the interests and likes of your audience one by one.

Use what you have found in step 1. Please note that this is one of the most important parts you need to be careful. If things are not clear for you, go back, refer the manual and enter the precise interests of your audience based on step 1 results. Make also sure first to target precise interest. As I said before, if you dont have enough audience with precise targeting, then you can target # tagged or related interests.

Ad Setup Step 6: Set Connection Targeting


Since your objective is to get new fans, select only people not connected to option. This would allow you to target those who are not your fans.

Ad Setup Step 7: Enter Campaign and Pricing Info
Finally you are going to enter your campaign name, budget and pricing

Here you are going to enter the name of your campaign. I recommend that you enter something related to your campaign. Make sure it is easily identifiable.
Remember that the description should explicitly show the what is it for me question that comes in your prospects mind, the benefit and powerful call to action.

Enter your daily budget. I recommend that you enter small amount. Set it to $5 per day.
