CHAPTER 5
Damn Yasmine and Domo went to work. Lauryn laughed as she poured herself a glass of wine after seeing Yasmine off and joining Meeks in the kitchen. I'm tired and I just want to go to bed, Yasmine was over Tiandre and she just wanted to be out of his presence. It didnt make sense to buy the cow if he could get the milk for free. Damn Beans, you could have at least helped me with the groceries, Zara said as she struggled through the front door. What I look like? Tiandre asked. You bought them so you carry them, He continued. Its been a long day and I just wanted a little help, she sighed. Well help yourself to fixing me some dinner, he replied. Meeks wouldnt treat me this way, she said under her breathe as she took out some pots and pans from under a bottom cabinet. Once she closed the door to the cabinet she saw Tiandre standing over her. What did you just say? Tiandre asked with a puzzled look on his face. Nothing, she said as she continued with her cooking. No, you said Meeks wouldnt treat you this way. You know Meeks? he asked. Zara was scared for her life because she knew what Beans was capable of. Hed punched her in the face a few times before when he felt like she was out of line, so she knew mentioning another mans name in his home would definitely get her ass knocked out. Yeah, but I was just playing, she said as she backed away from him. Bitch I dont give a damn who you fuck. You aint my bitch, but Im more interested in how you know Meeks. Zara was surprised at how Beans responded. She also wondered how he knew Meeks and why he wanted to know how she knew him. Turn that stove and shit off, I need to hear this shit now, he said before walking back into the family room and sitting on the couch. Zara followed him after turning the stove off and putting the groceries in the refrigerator. She started feeling nauseas, which was an everyday occurrence since she was 6 weeks pregnant with whom she thought was Meekss baby. She walked slowly to where Tiandre, beans to her, was sitting. He looked very intrigued and anxious to hear what she had to say and it made Zara feel good that someone was actually interested in listening to her.

Well, Ive known Meeks since I was 15 years old. We dated in high school for about two years and then parted our ways, she said. So do you still talk to the nigga? Tiandre asked. Lauryn had never suspected Meeks of cheating on her before. She knew he loved her and that they fit as a couple. They could be around each other for every waking moment of the day and never get tired. Lauryn loved the smile she put on Meekss face and how he would drop anything just for her. It felt weird questioning Meekss love for her because it was something she never had to do because he never gave her a reason to. Lauryn felt like he was hiding something, but she didnt want to drag the situation on so she left it alone. Lauryn didnt want Meeks to think she didnt trust him because she did. She allowed him to be out at all times of the night with no questions asked because there was never any suspicious activity, but she now regretted that. When she walked into the room she noticed that Meeks had left one of the two cell phones he had on the bed. Lauryn never looked through Meekss phone because she didnt need to. She was confident that she took care of her man enough for him to never stray away, but after that girl came to the house shooting rounds in the air she wasnt so sure. She eyed the phone a few times before finally deciding to just go in the bathroom and take her shower. She walked in the bathroom and started undressing. I got to see whats in that phone, she thought. Before she could even put her shower cap on she ran back into the room, grabbed the phone and started snooping through it. At first she didnt find anything. All he had were texts from Domo, Tez and Malik, which are his main niggas. They werent talking about anything, just a bunch of nonsense until she scrolled down the messages he had with Domo and read something she never thought she would see. Lauryn dropped the phone with her mouth open in awe. She couldnt believe what shed just seen. Her heart dropped and her stomach churned at the thought. How could this be, she thought. Lauryn showered and packed two suitcases because she didnt know how long she would be gone. She looked around the room before she left and just shook her head in disgust. What a bastard, she thought. She lugged her bags downstairs to her freshly washed car. She threw them in the backseat and sped off. A few moments later Meeks returned home because he noticed he left his other phone. He hopped out of his truck and went upstairs only to find Lauryn gone and his phones messages open to one he knew Lauryn had seen. He collapsed into the floor because he knew hed lost his love. One single tear rolled down his cheek before he got up from the floor. I will not lose her, he yelled as his voice echoed through the house.

CHAPTER 10
What the hell have I gotten myself into? Zara screamed at the top of her

lungs.

Tiandre had basically put her in the middle of a swindle that she didnt want to be a part of. The only scheme she had planned to do was getting her man and having his baby. She didnt want to rob him or possibly hurt him. Why do I even fuck with Beans ass, she said to herself. He aint shit. Shed stayed all night with Beans on the same night she made that scene at Meekss house. Beans had proposed a plan that sounded like jail time and she didnt want to do it, but she knew Beans would make her. Beans had a way of getting people to do what he wanted them to do and she hated that about their relationship. At the end of the day she didnt even want Beans, he was just something to do when there wasnt anything else to do. Meeks was her true love. She thought by coming to his house and showing him how serious she was that it would produce different results than it did. She texted and called Meeks constantly, but he failed to ever reply. Zara was frustrated and started feeling like robbing Meeks would be a great way to give him a taste of his own medicine. She decided to call up Beans and let him know she was all in for the scheme. Whats the worst that could happen? She thought. As the phone rang her stomach began to turn flips. She felt nervous all of a sudden and she didnt quite know why. Zara sat down on her old couch which was literally falling apart and propped her feet up on her coffee table. She was worried about the scheme while at the same time excited about what could happen from it. Maybe we could frame Lauryn, she thought. began to daydream about how great her life would be when Meeks realizes that shes the girl for him. How shes drive porches and BMWs around town and shit on her haters, but before she could finish out her dream she heard a knock at the door. Damn must be mama with Jaidens ass, she thought. She opened the door and her eyes widened at what she saw. Didnt expect to see me did you, he said as he walked into the house. Well dont just stand there, greet your childs father, he urged. Zara disrespected her mother and talked to her with a fowl mouth, but she couldnt hurt her in this way. At the end of the day she still loved her mother and she didnt want her to know that her ex husband raped her own daughter and from that produced a child. The same child her mother took care of daily. Ok, but Ive got to use the bathroom, her mother said as she walked past Zara. No, its broken, Zara yelled, but it was too late. Her mother had already walked into the house. Zara ran in behind her with Jaiden chasing behind them. What the fuck are you doing here Julius, her mother asked angrily. Look Im just here to see my child, he said as he got up from the couch. Zara is an adult now and you never tried to do anything for her before so she is far from your child, her mother retorted. He didnt see a point in staying there any longer. He thought he could somehow get Julius and collect a check for him, but he realized dealing with Zara and Sherry wasnt even worth it.
