Reading Resources Main Text Michael Todaro & Stephen C. Smith, Economic Development, 8th Edition, 2011. Reference Texts Issues in Pakistans Economy, by Dr. Akber Zaidi. Economy of an Elitist State, by Dr. Ishrat Hussain. Principles of Islamic Economics, by Salman Ahmed Shaikh. Chapter slides of these and other textbooks at introductory level will be provided. Research papers and reports will also be discussed. Documentaries & Video Lectures Class Attendance Policy Late coming will not be allowed. During the entire course, 4 absences are allowed. Late coming will marked as absence. Switch off your cell phones. No talk allowed during the class among students. Raise hands if you want to ask question or participate in class. Class decorum shall strictly be maintained. Else, CP marks will be affected.
