How do employees learn about the culture? The values and ethics of the Walt Disney Company are an essential element of the companys culture. Five essential components of the Disney culture are included here. First is innovation. The company is committed to continued innovation and technology, just as it was when Disneys Mickey Mouse was one of the first cartoon presentations to have sound. Next, the Disney Company strives toward setting a high standard of excellence and maintaining that high standard. Third, the Disney Company is committed to positive, inclusive ideas about family, which provide enjoyment for all ages. Fourth, the Disney Company continues a tradition of timeless storytelling that delights and inspires. Fifth, recognize and reward performance. Build employee motivation through formal and informal reward and recognition programs. Finally, the company is dedicated to honor and respect decency in order to inspire trust in the company

There are several steps for an employee to learn about an organizations culture, these steps are: 1.) Training The first step to passing along your organizational culture is through training. With an effective teacher and strong written materials, the employee will immediately find himself immersed. Your selected trainer should reflect the best qualities of your organization. He should be able to accurately and effectively begin to pass the culture along to new hires. Your written material should be equally as strong, written in a tone that highlights the culture you want to pass along to new recruits. 2.) Guidance Early on, an employee may understand the culture of your organization, but he may be unsure of how to embrace it. Talk to your employees about what you expect from them, especially if it extends beyond their primary duties. If you expect your employees to get involved in the community, don't just tell them -- show them. Give them examples of ways they can contribute that will promote your company's culture. 3.) Incentives At first, a new employee is not fully invested in promoting organizational culture. Initially, he will be in a period of adjustment, feeling out his new responsibilities. Providing incentives and rewards for participating in activities that foster organizational culture will have a two-fold effect. It will encourage

him to better understand the organizational culture while giving him an example of exactly how it works. He will see that your organization promotes a culture that rewards employees for their work. Hopefully, he will pass this along to others while remaining in your employ. 4.) Hiring Practices It is the policy of The Walt Disney Company to provide equal opportunity for all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, religion, color, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, age, marital status, covered veteran status, mental or physical disability, pregnancy, or any other basis prohibited by state or federal law. ** SEARCH PICTURES OF OLD AGED WORKERS IN TOKYO DISNEYLAND OR TOKYO DISNEY SEA Apply what cultural dimensions are reflected by the company: Attention to Detail Disney strives to follow a high standard of excellence. Read More: The Magic Kingdom has one thing that most don't notice...cleanliness. The grounds are very well kept and this is easily taken for granted, so it merits mention. It started when young Walt Disney visited an amusement park and had a bad experience. The facilities were a mess. There was trash all over the place and the bathrooms were disgusting. Walt decided then and there that when he built his theme park, it would never be a mess. In fact, in planning the park he said, were going to make it so clean that people are going to be embarrassed to throw an ything on the ground. If youve ever been to Disneyland or Disney World, you know that he got what he wished for. Every time that Ive visited a park Ive been amazed at the cleanliness, despite the millions of people who go through every year. Ive read that they have a simple strategy that makes Disney parks clean places. Take care of a mess right away. It stays clean because they dont let messes get started.
