The Trident - Opportunity Unlimited is a recruitment drive with a hint of competition. This challenge would not only test the wits and business acumen of students through a business simulation competitions but will also judge participants on deeper aspects of personality such as attitude and behavioural traits through a rigorous recruitment norms followed by the Trident Group to identify the crme de la crme. We would like to invite your institution to be a part of Trident Opportunity Unlimited where the rounds of selection can start with the business simulation competition amongst students as the initial screening process. The business simulation competition will involve students to compete head-on on the internationally acclaimed business simulation platform in which they will be required to act as CEOs of a given virtual enterprise and through a series of strategic decisions steer their company towards maximum profitability. Selected students through Trident - Opportunity Unlimited would not only be eligible to a lucrative cash prize as a result of the simulation competition but would also be vying for management position with the prestigious Trident group.

3. Recruitment Process Structure

a) Stage 1: Screening Round

1000+ MBA students would undergo a rigorous screening procedure The stage 1 of selection of suitable profiles will be done through a Business Simulation challenge. Participants in this round will undergo a head to head competition amongst themselves on an internationally recognized, tried and tested business simulation platform and handpicked questions based test from the Trident HR Team. Business Simulations will entail their taking charge of a given virtual company and steer it towards maximum profitability and share holder value through careful and critical strategic decisions in a dynamic and uncertain business environment. The initial screening round will be carried out in the following formats:

Intra-Institutional simulation competitions organized at top B-schools of the country

21 B-Schools throughout the country will be selected for this phase of the event where Professionals from Trident Group and iInteract Learning Solutions will screen candidates based on business acumen, decision making skills and behavioral aspects.

Open Mega Online Business Simulation Challenge

The Open Mega Online Business Simulation Competition, with IIM A Confluence 2012, is a platform where willing applicants from all across the country will be invited to participate. Open Call City Level Events

Open Call events will be carried out 3 selected cities with the help of a partner or Host Institution in each city. Interested candidates would have to register under one city host. The registration process to participate in this format would be done on event website and the screening round will be held at the premise of the Host Institution at pre-decided dates. Registered participants will be provided with a unique login ID / Password which will enable them to login into the individual accounts on the event website to see results and proceed to further rounds once shortlisted. Stage 2: Grand Finals at Trident Premises - Barnala

Business Simulation Grand Finals (Prelims & Finals)

Shortlisted students from the 1st and 2nd stage will be invited to the trident premises where the final simulation based round would be carried out. Students would be exposed to the simulation software but with tougher predefined parameters. Professionals from our Trident Group would scrutinize the students on, along with the factors in the 1st Stage of the activity, various key skills that are essential to the selection criteria of Trident Group. This would be the decisive round from which candidates for the final interview shall be selected. This would be followed by the declaration of results and prize distribution.

In Basket Activities

Here, candidates would be put through a set of grueling activities designed to judge their behavioral traits as well as business acumen to sort out the best fitting people for Trident.

Offer and Recruitment

After the Personal Interviews Stage, Trident HR Team will declare results of the finally selected candidates for Placements along with the offer and acceptance formalities of the same.

Certificates will be awarded to the winning candidates from each institute. Invitation to the winning candidates to participate in the Grand Finals of Trident Opportunity Unlimited to be held at Trident Plant Barnala.

Certificates will be awarded to the winning candidates from each institute. Top 20 Winners will get an opportunity to appear for the Grand Finals at Trident Plant Barnala.

MikesBikes Intro: Introduction to Business Simulation

Through our interactive interface participants will be taught the cross-functional disciplines of business, and how the development and implementation of strategy involves these disciplines. The competitive element of MikesBikes encourages participants to understand these principles and have fun doing it!

MikesBikes-Intro is an introduction to business simulation that teaches participants the key concepts of business as they run their own company within an online industry, competing against other participants within their course.

Participants start as Advertising/Brand Managers of a Bicycle Manufacturing company and get hands-on experience making Pricing, Marketing and Production decisions.

As each decision period progresses participants will be given more control over their company, becoming responsible for Distribution, Operations, Product Development, and Financial decisions.

Participants analyze real financial reports and market data. Formulate a comprehensive strategy, starting with a single product focus. As the simulation progresses participants can develop new products and release these into emerging markets.

Participants compete against others in their course in an online multiplayer environment. The competitive nature of MikesBikes makes the simulation so enjoyable for participants, while encouraging involvement and learning in a way that no other teaching methodology can.

MikesBikes uses a dynamic marketplace so that participants must analyze the changing market and understand the needs of their customers, therefore reinforcing the importance of planning, implementation and evaluation of strategy.
