530,000 visitors from more than 2,000 countries, 570,000 m2 of exhibition space, 3,420 exhibitors bauma 2013 in Munich broke all records. The world's largest trade fair for construction machinery and equipment again attracted the attention of the entire construction industry from April 15 to 21. This was, of course, not to be missed by MOBA: In Hall A3, Booth 227/326, MOBA presented its new products and systems on 100 square metres of space. And there were many visitors: even as the doors to the trade fair opened on the first day, visitors flowed into the hall and to the MOBA booth.

Entire product line presented From the individual slope sensor for manlifts to the entire product line of upgradable excavation systems, MOBA presented products from all areas of road construction and earthwork and, in the area of safety-relevant technologies, new and proven systems and components for numerous machines. With the MOBA Expert Talk, a panel discussion was transmitted live from bauma to the MOBA Community for the first time. Here, four experts discussed the topic of quality and process improvement in construction-site process optimization.

From the first to the last day of the trade fair, the MOBA booth was a visitor magnet

What's new? At this year's bauma as well, a wide range of MOBA systems, products and features were "premired" and presented to the public for the first time: MOBA 3D-matic The 3D levelling system can be installed on graders, dozers as well as attachments. The new "2 in 1" controller combines 2D and 3D computers in just a single housing. The display as well as sensors are also designed for use in 3D and 2D applications. Depending on the project, the operator can thus work with 3D or 2D. The 3D planning data are made available to the system via a data carrier. The position of the machine is ascertained with the GNSS sensor or, alternatively, total station. The controller compares the machine position with design data and calculates the deviations. Corrections for these deviations are performed quickly and precisely in the blade controller.
Via the seven-inch.. display and the clear, understandable menu structure, the system is easy and comfortable to operate.

PAVE-IR with scanner PAVE-IR has proven itself as a quality control system for asphalt paving. In addition to the time-tested temperature measurement bars, it will in the future offer a new possibility for monitoring the temperature during asphalt paving and documenting it for the entire project. The system uses an intelligent temperature scanner to contactlessly measure the asphalt temperature over the entire paving width. The measurement width can be set individually. With up to 31 measurement points, the scanner achieves an accuracy of 2C at typical asphalt temperatures.

Xsite excavation systems with a new name The new family name Xsite emphasises the compatibility and the modular structure of the excavation systems, which is based on the "building block principle".

Big Sonic-Ski with four sensors The new model of the Big Sonic-Ski operates with four ultrasound sensors. This is particularly advantageous during the resurfacing of asphalt roads and surfaces: because even if there is unevenness in regular intervals of five to seven metres in the subgrade as is often the case during resurfacing the system achieves excellent flatness when paving the top asphalt layer. Such road waves cannot be detected when using a smaller number of sensors.

The temperature profile is shown in real time on the display. In addition, the profile is stored with the GPS position data and transferred to a USB stick or via GSM to a server, where it can be called up at any time with a web application. MCA-2000 with web data transfer The MCA-2000 has already proven itself as a reliable roller system for asphalt compaction. With the new, additional function of wireless data transfer, data can now be quickly and conveniently transmitted to a server, where it can be called up at any time, eliminating the need to travel from the office to the construction site.

For getting started with automation, the economical Xsite EASY system offers all of the 2D functionalities needed for, e.g., excavator work in landscape construction or for digging foundations or trenches. Xsite LINK also offers the possibility to implement profiles with multiple inclines with a high level of accuracy via the easy-to-use, 5.7-inch touch-screen panel. The sensor is thus particularly well suited for the construction of embankments and for projects with inclines on multiple axes. For complex requirements, Xsite PRO, with its wide range of 3D functionalities, is the ideal system when structuring free, shaped areas and 3D design data are available. MDS-2000 with new features With the new feature for recording machine orientation by two GNSS antennae, the torsion on the machine can be determined with very high accuracy and included in the calculation of the drilling angle, even in darkness or poor weather. Another new feature is the height detection of the mount by means of The laser forms the virtual reference for the laser reference. depth measurement Drill holes can thereby be drilled to the exact same depth, even if the ground is uneven. This is important during blast hole drilling to ensure that an uncontrollable rockfall does not occur during blasting. The new telesupport allows the system to be accessed remotely. This allows updates and service calls to be realised quickly without on-site service being necessary.

MOBA PRICE FINDER

The new MOBA Price Finder quickly and conveniently shows MOBA dealers their personal price for a complete system, individual products or components. At http:// pricefinder.app.moba.de, the MOBA customer can use his user name and password, which can be requested from Sascha Feuchtinger, to login and directly access price information at any time. For comparison, the system displays both the list prices as well as the prices that are valid for the dealer. Via an Internet connection, the user can use the Price Finder anytime and anywhere to search for products, to display various products and to create systems.

The current contents of the shopping basket as well as the already placed orders or prepared offers can also be viewed. The Price Finder is clearly structured, easy to operate and saves the user a great deal of time, as many telephone calls and e-mails can be avoided.
