Aloe has had a difcult life. Born on impassable terrains, on hostile soils, in environments with adverse climatic conditions, it has showed character, evolving to make the most of the scarcest resources available. With great tenacity it collects and stores the minimum quantity of water released by the soil, using it only when strictly necessary. In the same way, this little plant transmits to our body a valuable package of healthy living: no more shortages nor over-supply, but a constant balance to be achieved day after day, compensating for an irregular diet impoverished by the modern food industry. Each sip of Aloe reminds our body of the existence of more than 150 nutritional substances and the best way to metabolize them.
ALOE TEACHES...
Each Aloe plant is therefore a natural mini laboratory of chemical synthesis which produces a wide range of active constituents (more than 150), among which: Vitamins The vitamins are organic micro-nutritional compounds, which must be obtained (in tiny amounts) from the diet because the human body can not synthesise some of them. Vitamins do not have any energy value, but they play a fundamental role in the vital metabolic processes. Some of these processes only need just one vitamin, but others require the synergic effect of many vitamins, which have to be all present. The vitamins are divided into two groups: a) water-soluble vitamins (readily excreted from the body): important for the metabolism of macro-nutrients and the production of energy, for strengthening the immune system and for synthesizing neurotransmitters; b) fat-soluble vitamins (which collect in the membranes and adipose tissues): essential elements in the metabolic processes which occur inside the cells. Minerals The minerals are classied as micro-nutrients since they do not supply energy, but are indispensable elements in normal physiological processes. The micro-nutritional minerals are: copper, zinc, selenium, chrome, uorine, manganese. They are necessary only in trace amounts (about 1mg), but the lack of them is often linked to illnesses like osteoporosis, arteriosclerosis, and hypertension. Proteins of vegetable origin These proteins are composed of amino acids chains which are assimilated by our body. Our organism can synthesize only half of the 20 amino acids which make up proteins. These are dened as non-essential and are not necessarily required in our daily diet. Only 9 amino acids, the so-called essential amino acids, must be sourced in the diet. In a normal healthy conditions their intake in the diet automatically guarantees the bodys synthesis of the non-essential types. Enzymes These proteins are indispensable in the biochemical reactions processes of the organism. To make these processes possible, the presence of some trace elements which act as enzyme cofactors (e.g. cobalt, copper, chrome) is necessary. The enzymes contained in Aloe are carboxypeptidase, which acts on tissue inammations, and catalase, which ghts free radicals, and others.

Nature obliged Aloe to develop those characteristics which would enable it to survive in extreme conditions. Thus a ghter plant was born, with strong roots to anchor it rmly to the ground during storms, and with an external armour to protect it from scavenging animals or insects. A model of strength and character acquired over the ages, which Aloe now transmits to our body. How? By helping us to become real health warriors and by inducing our body to increase the effectiveness of its immune system.
ALOE TEACHES...
Complex sugars are organic substances, usually called polysaccharides, made up of different lengths of chains of simple sugars. The best known polysaccharides are: -glucan (chains of glucose units bound in a particular way), xylose and other monosaccharide chains, glucomannan (mannose chains), acemannan (acetylated mannans chains). The last two are the main polysaccharides present in Aloe juice and are water-soluble. They promote wound-healing, enhance the immune-stimulating functions (i.e. activate macrophages and cytokines production) and have anti-viral properties. The protective lm-creating ability of these substances led to the discovery of Aloes gastro-protective property, which this plant has developed to defend itself from external agents, and which is transmitted to our body, teaching it to be independent. When we drink Aloe juice, the polysaccharides stimulate the digestive tract, preventing any pH-imbalance from adversely affecting it. The complex sugars also stimulate the immune system, thus providing an effective solution to our health problems. They act in two different ways: directly, by creating a protective layer on the stomach and intestinal walls, and indirectly by stimulating the immune response processes. More in detail: direct action The polysaccharides stimulate the upper digestive tract (oesophagus) and the stomach walls. Thanks to their lm-creating property, they create a double purpose cover: acting as a shield to reduce the effects of gastritis or inammation caused by digestive hyper-acidity (a worrying increase in the last decades); and, thanks to its whound-healing properties, it sooths lesions and small ulcers. indirect action The acemannan and the other polysaccharides induce the organism to better prime its defence mechanisms, i.e. immune-stimulating action is activated. The immune system is activated and produces more macrophages, i.e. specic white blood cells that provide protection for the entire organism.

Regardless of the conditions, whether subjected to torrential rains or extreme drought, this plant is able to retain the water necessary for survival. Anthaquinones comprehend a wide group of substances from the plant kingdom and have many benecial properties. The typically bitter taste of Aloe comes from these compounds. They stimulate the plexus that regulates intestinal movements, with consequent increase in peristalsis and laxative effects. The intensity is strongly linked to the chemical structure of the molecule, which contributes to speeding up the elimination of food and metabolic waste products. The acemannan, being a foreign compound to our body, instigates a defence response, reinforcing the cellular walls in order to facilitate the elimination of the toxins produced by the metabolic processes and the secondary reactions. Sucralose (trichlorogalactosucrose) is a sweetener with an immediately recognisable, sweet and smooth taste, almost identical to that of the common sugar (saccharose). It is created by a multiphase patented process, with a saccharose base. This sweetener has no calories, but is nevertheless 600 times sweeter than saccharose.
It passes unmodified through the digestive tract, is not subjected to the digestive process which is why it does not accumulate. ZUCCARI Labs submitted AloEvolution to dermatological and clinical laboratory tests at the University of Pavia. The objective was to check the 100% hypoallergenicity of its formulation, its compatibility with the skin, and to measure its inhibitory effect of bacterial proliferation. In these three cases AloEvolution achieved excellent results. The deodorant was sprayed on the right armpit of the volunteers who took part in the test, while a control product (placebo) was sprayed on the left armpit. The amount of odour on both armpits was ascertained at the time of spraying (T0), after 24 hours (T24) and after 48 hours (T48). The use of AloEvolution reduces the perception of armpit odour after 24 hours from spraying by 38.32% compared with the smell at the time of spraying. The same assessment carried out after 48 hours recorded a reduction of the armpit smell by 31.20% compared with the start. The test participants declared to have no intolerance to the product, experiencing no skin irritations, such as itching, rashes, exfoliation, or burning sensation. In addition, bacterial growth was found to be far inferior on the test product armpits with respect to the placebo treatment armpits. This proves the effectiveness of the product in inhibiting the growth of the bacterial ora, which cause the bad odours. It is signicant that that after 48 hours the deodorised part had the same bacterial growth as it would have had after 24 hours, even if it had not been sprayed.
