Student Rules and Regulations for Entry into Frog Baby Film Festival 2014

Section 1: Student Qualifications In order to submit any number of films or other video entries to Frog Baby Film Festival 2014 (the festival), an individual must: Be an undergraduate student at Ball State University ("BSU) Have the intellectual copyrights to the work(s) Agree to the use of his or her work(s) for purposes in the festival, including and not limited to: o Showing, promoting, reviewing, distributing, and synchronizing the work(s) in the normal course of the festival and its subsequent duties and processes. An individual (student) who submits any work(s) to the festival does not relinquish copyright of said work(s) but does grant the festival the right to use the work(s) for purposes as it deems fit in accordance with the functions and purposes of the festival. Section 2: Entry Qualifications In order for a work to be eligible for submission into the festival, it must: Belong in part or in whole to the student submitting the work (see Section 1) Be no more than 30 minutes, 0 seconds in length. There is no minimum length requirement for a work to be submitted Contain content suitable for an approximate rating of PG-13 or lower (for questions or concerns regarding content and the appropriateness of a work, contact Nick Rieth at the aforementioned email address)

Contain only the work and nothing that is not a part of the work as it is meant to be viewed

Section 3: Persons Involved Regulations Any work submitted to the festival must comply with the regulations regarding the persons involved in its creation. The purpose of the festival is to promote films and other productions created by BSU students. As such, works that do not meet the necessary requirements to be submitted as works of BSU students will not be accepted into the festival. Regulations include: Any individual who is not currently a student at BSU or an undergraduate student at any university is limited to participate in the creation of the work as: o An actor or actress, including extras o An individual who provides equipment or other materials and goods, such as funding or catering o An EPK crew member or auxiliary videographer o A member or a featured band, an individual being documented through the creation of the work, etc. Any individual who is an undergraduate student but who is not a student at BSU is limited to participate in the creation of the work as: o No more than one major role in the creation of the work (executive producer, producer, director, director of photography, main actor or actress, etc.) o Any number of extra acting roles o No more than two less involved roles in the creation of the work (various crew member positions, etc.) o An individual who provides equipment or other materials and goods, such as funding or catering o An EPK crew member or auxiliary videographer o A member or a featured band, an individual being documented through the creation of the work, etc. Any individual who is a student at BSU has no limitations to the extent of involvement allowed in the creation of the work

Section 4: Disclaimer

If any submission is found to be in violation of these regulations, the festival committee reserves the right to remove said entry in accordance with the regulations of the festival. The committee reserves the right to investigate any questionable or otherwise ambiguous submissions and to act as the committee sees fit in light of its findings. Frog Baby Film Festival is a BSU student run nonprofit organization, and as such, seeks the best for BSU students in its realization and implementation. All submissions to the festival will be judged by BSU staff and faculty, not by the festival committee, enabling committee members to submit works of their own. Any faculty involved in the creation of submitted works will be asked to refrain from judging of said work or will be asked to retire from their duties, should the situation require it. Frog Baby Film Festival reserves the rights to change the rules and regulations at any time without any prior notice, and is subject to the campus wide policies enacted and enforced by Ball State University.
