How do you understand the role of Local Committee President ?

LCP is the main person who is responsible for whole LC. One of LCP role is being a leader of EB. He create this team, because he choose the best people from all candidates who apply to EB. He is a person who keep together EB, by being their friend, who is always available for EB in bad and good moments. He is also a person who gives direction EB to work ( strategic planning, planning process, main goals). He is also a person who must motivate his EB team when he see low level of motivation. So I can say in one sentence that he is a true leader. Second think is working with and at OCP/Coo of LC. He prepare OCP/Coo to take this chellange, to do this big step in their AIESEC experiance. LCP during leaders commision delivery future OCP/OCVP/Coo all nessary knowledge to run their own project to work as a structure (Coo), he also answer their question, motivate them to do it. After leaders commision, LCP working with MM over their attitude. LCP also during MM meetings and all time help MMs solve problems that their have in team, like listening and givings some sugestions what to do, because LCP is a leader and their are a leaders. LCP is a person who represent LC d in AIESEC network and in the external enviroment. So he always should behave good. And always try to show our LC from the best site. He also is responsible for all actions in LC. He role is to prevent bad actions and promote good actions in LC. He is also responsible for culture in LC, he give shape culture in LC, and showing in which directin we should go to build/have very good culture in LC. OCP is a leader of his/her project, team and of course LCP is a leader of EB and LC. So LCP is responsible for whole LC, for all members, for all actions in LC. LCP is a person who is showcase of the committe. How people perceive him as perceive LC, that why he must be always perfect. LCP is responsible for LC develop and LC members develop. He create with EB actions that help LC develop and LC members.

Please list your 3 main strengths and 3 main weaknesses and answer the following questions: How those strengths are going to make you a better LCP? What are you doing to overcome these weaknesses.

People oriented: using this strengths I will be able to help EB, MMs and members of LC d to develop themselves, in AIESEC and in personal life. By giving and creating them opportunities to develop their skills, knowledge, to be better in their areas. I will also take care about their motivation, and when I will see that their motivation is low I will do my best to rebuild their motivation. I also love talking with people, and talking at all topic is not hard for me, I think it will also help me to create open feedback culture, if they want give me feedback they will approach me and talk with me and from my side it will the same. very important for me, and I will make sure that they have goals: MMs for their project, EB for their term, but if they wont have goals I will sit with them and help them ste their goals. After that I will work with them to reach their goals. Having goals will allow them to reach fulfill their plans. 2. Im a concret person: If we talking about our plans, about what we will do and we talk only using big worlds, we will do this and this, and we will reach 100 oGIP exchange, just do it, it will be challenging but we will do it No! I dont like this because if we will do like this we wont reach our goals. I know from my experience, at the beginning of my term I was like this, but during my term I compare plans with current state of my area, and I change my plans. Because I saw its unreal to reach. I change my plans, I prepare action plan and actions based on this plan, and I know that this plan will help me reach my goals. From that time I change my way of thinking, better plan less and real numbers and achieve more. And form that time I start thinking more realistic, and I dont like flafu If we want do something, change something we must focuse on this and do it. But at the beginning we must prepare good plan, with miles stones, based on gant. And start doing this than we reach our goal. And the same action I will demand from EB and MMs. If their have great idea to implement in LC, ok Im in but prepare plan, and if you dont know how to do it we will do it together. Its also the same when I demanding something form my Coo/OCP, I tell them that I want form them to do this, and if they dont know how to do it, they just nee d to tell me, and I will help. But usually they have clear information from me, what they must to do. 3. Problem solver: This characteristic, consist of few more characteristic: optimists, problem solver, open minded. How this strengths will help me? Its easy, because when problem appear Im not panic, shouting or crying, but Im analyzing problem and thinking how can I solve this problem, and during our term we had problems its normal and I never panic, I was just thinking how to solve problem, but if I dont have any good idea I speak with other people, and together we are looking for solution. That why Im open minded because Im never close for other ideas I always think about other ideas and try to take the best thinks from all ideas and create the best solution. Im always open for suggestions. Optimistic I think you know what I mean, you know me and you know that what ever happen Im always optimistic with smile on my face. Its not that I dont care, its because I think we can solve all problems and there is no reason to break down. We must just find solution. And happy face always helps other people during that situation. What are you doing to overcome these weaknesses. 1) Lazy: I know you will think lazy guy apply for LCP, madness But Im lazy in specific situations. And that kind of situat ions are: W hen I dont see purpose of my work, if is just an action for action, I will do it and nb will use it. I need to see purpose of my work, aim, and if I dont see it I will be lazy doing this work, but if I will find purpose of this work I will do it very fast and good. Sometime I just need small help to find purpose. but that kind of situation happen very often. How I overcome that kind of situation Im looking for purpose of my action, also I ask my friends to do it with me if I cant find purpose. I also dont invent such a work/task without purpose, for me and for my coworkers. 2) Time management: We are just humans, and most of us have problem with time management. I also have some problem with time management, but since I join AIESEC I work at this problem. Usually I plan my day/week if its possible I plan my month. Thanks to this my problem with time management is much more smaller then was at the beginning. But still its not as good as I want to be. All time Im looking for knowledge how to man age my time more effective. How I do it, its simple Im talking with people who have good time management, Im looking in web for some new solution, trying to implement them in my life. And right now I know there is no one good solution to managing time. But whats work with me is to always have my calendar with me and write there all thinks that I plan. Also very good for me is working on TO DO list every day. Thanks to this 2 tools I can manage my time more effective.

3) Variety experience in organization: I get to EB from OC position after 3,5 months in AIESEC, and I was since beginning in OGX area. My knowledge about other area was very small at the beginning of my term, and I did a huge progress since February but still I think I should know more about all areas. I know that LCP should have perfect knowledge about all areas. And I know that during transition I will need put much more effort for transition from other areas to be well educated LCP. I will deal with it in very simple way I will spend more time at all areas to better educated form each area but thanks to this I will have necessary knowledge. But this its also somehow my strength, because Im much more open for innovative idea form other people, Im much more open. And Im not af raid to take a risky decision.

3. What is the AIESEC relevance for our local environment?


It all our programs: ICX, OGX, Career Days, TMP, TLP. Each of these programs are unique in different way. Each of these program offer something different to students and respond for different local needs. ELD programs help students. Because they can join to AIESEC and develop their leadership potential, gain a lot of practice knowledge, make contact, train their languages also they can meet people from whole world , and this program is relevant because students after AIESEC experience are more aware of local, world issues and needs, they are better prepared to adult life. Connecting with OGX programs, students can go for an internship and get also leadership experience, they have also possibility to change someone life, get a lot of knowledge and experience, also they can get professional knowledge and experience, and after internship they will be more valuable on market. ICX program respond for our local needs. Thanks to our programs people in our local environment have chance to meet people from all world, learn about their culture, get friendships and also learn many useful things, they became more open for world. Its connected with host family where whole families can invite foreigner to their hose. If we talking about Career Days its chance for students because they can meet there employ and get knowledge about what expectation has employ to students, and what they can do to cope those expectations. Our programs are relevant to our local environment, but we have challenge do to we must inform people that we are here and we can help.

4. What kind of leadership is needed in our LC and how are you going to shape it?

We need strong and stable leadership in our LC. Because in this year we started going in good direction and to keep it we need strong and stable leader, that will know what to do to ensure sustainable grow for LC. This leader must implement strategies that we create, and make sure that all people follow this direction. He must be also open for people, he must be available for members. But with being open for people he must be also results oriented. With people development should go in pair performance culture. We must grow and to do it new LCP must connect both things. Because if we will have great people but we wont have good results, LC will stop growing. I will start from EB, I will be checking their result each month and if there will be some gap whole EB will be thinking how to fill gap. We will take necessary action to fill the gap. Than role of LCVP will tracking their OCP from results. and giving some ideas how to fill gap, if there will be gap. EB and OCP will present their results during LCM each month. So whole LC will she how they work. In critical situation I will talk with OCP about their project, where is the problem. Also I will be talking about result during MMs meeting. I will provide R&R for each area, and results will be only rewarded. Also results will have an impact for they vote of approval.

5. What is the role of Middle Management? How are you going to work with this group?
Role of MMs are: Shaping culture in LC. Shaping attitude of their OC. Motivating OC to work, being active. Helping OC to develop. MMs are operation body in LC so without they engagement we want achieve anything. They communicate to OC in what direction LC will go, what strategies we will have. How Im going to work with MMs? Open feedback culture: why because with this we can achieve more and more. I cant change anything if I dont know that Im doing something wrong, or I cant keep good things if I dont know that is good. So that why I will work with MMS to create this culture. I will establish with MMs one date for our meetings. Individual meetings with MMS, because on that meeting we can talk about all things, and I will get know better each OCP and this will create good bond between us. One of crucial thing for me is showing and discussing with MMs, EB plans, and strategies. Its important for me because if we want grow and go in one direction they must know why EB

create those strategies and plans. And if they have something to add I will be open for their inputs. Next thing is to create MMs possibility for develop. But I will write about it in next question.

6. How

will you take care of your Executive Board and Middle Management Commission in terms of their personal and leadership development from the moment of elections till the end of 2014? Draw 3 strategies for each group.
EB and MMs develop is very important for me because we are here in AIESEC to develop ourselves. I cant image that I wont help my EB and MMs to develop themselves. EB: Individual meetings, and that meetings I will work with my EB at setting goals. Plan fot those meetings is: I will help my EB to set their goals during term, and I will be person who will help them to achieve their goals, I will somehow like coach for them. Very good method for develop in AIESEC is engagement in national initiatives, like: NST, working groups. I know it from my personal experience that this kind of engagement helps to develop. LCVP work at national strategies, they have direct contact with MCVP, they have also possibility to be FACI at national conferences. Another thing is participating in international conferences, I was at one international conference, and I will do it again. During international conferences you have possibility to build your network, get knowledge about processes in other countries; you can share your ideas, gain new ideas, or starting establishing cooperation. Everything is possible there. And in future its much easier to do something if you know people from other country. Of course international conferences are connected with high cost: but there is a lot of possibility how to deal with it.

MMs: At first I will check MMs needs for knowledge, experience and than I will do my best to provide them trainings according to their need. I will engaged Alumni, Externals, I will engaged MMs to some extra activity in LC: Being FACI at LCC, providing trainings for members. I know how that kind of activity can develop, because you must at first get all materials for session, than you must prepare outline, than presentation and prepare you speech, and finally deliver this session. One more thing I will do I will organize for MMs ITtT conference because, it will help them in AIESEC and in future life.

7. If you could change 3 things in our countrys reality: a) What would they be? b) Why? c) How do you think AIESEC can help you to do it?
a) Increasing unemployment among young people b) Lowe education level at universities and lack of adjustment to market needs. c) Lack of proactivity among young people Why? I will connect those 3 things in one, because they are connected. The highest unemployed rate is in Poland. Its connected with lack of proactivity among young people, maladjustment uniwersities to market need and unemploy of young people. Why does it happen ? Lot of students, only focusing on studies and fun, and when we ask them why? We can hear : we dont have a time, we dont want, we dont know, we have time. Its just an excuses !

When we here those excuses we can think that they are lazy, or they think that studies provide them good job or they just not aware. Lot of people after their studies cant find good paid job, because they dont have enough experience, they dont know how to survive on market. Thats why they are unemployed. Some of them are going abroad and never comeback, and we lose well educated people. Some of them try to start their own business, but they dont have knowledge, experience and money. So after few mounts most of them fail, only small % survived. For those who cant find job its a moment for refl ection, and they start participant in courses, or they just go to Biedronka because they need money. That why I see how much important is starting changing something, but not just universities but what is more important we must change students mentality because without it we cant change anything. How do you think AIESEC can help you to do it? I think AIESEC can do a lot to change something in Poland. One of activity that we can do is organizing courses for students, and we can deliver them useful trainings. But its not enough. I think Career Days are one of the most important thing, because during them students have an opportunity to talk with employ, get know what requirements have employ, they also can get know about summer practice in company. Its great source of knowledge for them. Global Citizen and Global Talents internships are one of chances for students to go abroad, get experience, and learn a lot of new thinks. And open their eyes for social issues, world issues, for their future. Or they can join AIESEC, because AIESEC is for young people, AIESEC help young people develop, and get experience that will help people in their future life. I can say that AIESEC is an answer for those problems.

8. How would you like to see our LC in: a) 5 years? b) 1 year? c) What needs to change in your LC in order to fulfill both visions?
a) For sure I want to see that LC d will be on of the best LC in Poland. That all LC will have good opinion about d I wish that we would have 300 exchange or more, I know its possible. I would see that members are engaged in LC life and they help LC developing. LC d will be recognized in AIESEC network because we will have the best reception, the best ICX projects, and thanks to this we will be fires choice partner for EPs LC dx will have high performance culture Other LCs will learn from us, will ask us for our knowledge LC will have more than 100 members LC d will recognize in d region by students, stakeholders, companies and media. We will have 10 or more business partners OGX and sales culture will be in LC. We know how to do iGIP and we are good in this LC have financial stability for 2 years @ will have new office

b) c) I think if we will keep and continue those changes that we made already LC d will grow and will be better and better. Because now we can see that people are more engagement in LC life. And LC is going in good direction now. We must just keep it !! Furthermore execution of area based project and strategic project will provide sustainable growth. And thanks to that next EB will have much more easier task to do. Of course we must provide those changes to develop our LC but without help from MM side EB wont do it alone. So its very important that MMs will support EB. Because proactivity is a key to success. All the changes that we made stay and develop in good direction LCVP will apply for LCP and MMs will apply to EB Prepared plans and strategies will be realized Sustainable growth of LC culture Other LCs will be talking about LC d growth LC members will be participating in national initiatives, LC delegates for conferences will be bigger Host Family project and OGX promo will be working properly Financial stability for 1 year

9. Make SWOT of each ELD program in our LC. What are your main conclusions?
Ok basically we have good leaders with good knowledge and they are active in LC, but we can have more leaders but without OCs we wont do anything. And here is our bottleneck because we dont use reallocation, we capitalize on newbies, its could be good b ut if we want to have good results we must start capitalizing on reallocations. Our market have huge potential and we still dont know how to use it, how attract people to us. We still dont have working R&R, and one of hey to success is motivation of people, without R&R we wont motivate enough people to stay in organization. Sometime we deliver to newbies and new OCP to much knowledge at the beginning. And our promotion could be much better. We must focus on people development and motivation and starting capitalizing at our internal resources. Learn how we can use our market potential.

Term 2011/2012

Has to be improved in the term: Working with BoA not enough meetings, EB was only sowing their plans not talking about the plans. No synergies in EB, visible synergy between TM-F and OGX Improve relations in EB Create motivation system Create strategy how convince MMs to apply to EB

Main conclusions: EB was to big, and maybe that was the reason why they didnt cooperated together and also it could be the reason why there was only 2 synergies instead of more. Maybe this was the reason why MMs didnt want apply to EB. Whole term was very strong, the results was good and LC d was recognized in AIESEC PL. Bu I think lack of synergies and cooperation among EB was reason why the end of cadency was weak. But in the big picture they did a great job.

Term 2012/2013

Main conclusions: After previous term new EB was dealing with lack of people from the beginning. Thats way EB work was mostly operative because they need to do promotion, help project. And also atmosphere in EB wasnt so good that why girls didnt create any good synergy. And also skip of 2 EB members was very bad, because some of EB need to deal with 2 areas. And at the end of the term EB didnt do anything to help elect EB. My main conclusion is synergy, synergy, attitude of EB, and activity of EB are very important to properly run LC.

Term 2013/2014

Has to be improved in the term: Prepare good Promotion strategy We need to increase activity of LC members Its not something to improved but its thing to continue, I mean changes that we do.

Main conclusions: Current EB want to change LC in good way. Want to provide changes that will help LC in future. And we work hard at all changes that we want to see in our LC, and now we start seeing those changes. I know we werent perfect we did some mistakes, be we were always together and this is our strength. Working together and cooperate to achieve common goal Without that we wouldnt do what we do.

11. Analyze the culture of our LC in the year 2013. What aspects of the current culture will you retain and what aspects will you change in the coming year? How do you plan to do so?

Things I want improve/change: Increasing activity of MMS Increasing the activity of members Increasing LC d recognition in AIESEC Poland network.

How I want to do it: First I want work with MMs, why their proactivity is so much important for LC, what is more important for me is that MMs will get to conclusion together and my role will be only giving im direction. By increase MMs activity, the activity of Members will increase, because Leaders will create this active attitude in their OCs, Lead by example. Very important for me is being recognized in AIESEC Poland. At first I will work with MMs why is so important to be recognized, what benefits we can gain, and also my role will only support for MMs during working on it.

I think the best strategies are the most simple as they can be.

12. What is a synergy in Executive Board? Name 5 most important ones and describe characteristics of 3 of them. What is your role as LCP in building those synergies?
Synergy is a cooperation of 2 or more LCVP that will provide archiving goal and better results. Synergy is not only cooperation for one projects its cooperation for whole time. There must be synergies in EB, EB capitalize on synergies and work on it. We wont achieve everything alone. We must work together to achieve more and more. 1) OGX-Coom: So this synergy is very important because, its not OGX role to get applications its Coom responsibility to get as many applications as OGX need. They create together promotion plan, share responsibilities, they create all timeline for promotion. Also they choose target group, and create material and message for this target group. They also choose way of promotion. Without Coom OGX, will not make successful promotion. 2) ER F 3) TM Coom : Its almost the same like with OGX-Coom synergy, because Coom is responsible for attracting students to organization, together with TM they create all timeline of promotion, target group, promotion materials, way of promotion, and courage members to participant in promotion. 4) OGX F: This is very important synergy, because all donation agreement must be filled correctly, and F and OGX check them. F director also give all donation agreements numbers so information flow must be free. Also whe it came to give money back to EP because he/she

didnt go for an internship, OGX telling about it F and finance when he see resignation agreement he can give EP money. 5) ICX Coom Role of LCP when we talking about synergies is supporting LCVP while they create their synergies, help them to create synergies if they dont know how it suppose to look the division of responsibilities. And checking if everything is all right. But when synergies have some problems, role of LCP is to be a peacemaker between LCVP. LCP role is also tracking how they work together, and tracking their results.

13. How are you going to ensure high quality of AIESEC experience in each ELD Program, at the same time, not letting the number of realizations drop?
Everything is about respond for members needs. Firs I will check what MMs want to develop them selfs. and then I will deliver them opportunities to develop : external trainings, National and international conferences, for results they will receive some discounts for languages courses. I will try to respond for their need but right now I dont know what they want to develop, and I cant write here action. But I will do my best to respond for their needs. If we are talking about TMP it will be very similar, I will talk with OCP, what their OC need to develop we will make survey and then we will think about solution, For sure I will convincing them to participant in conferences, external trainings. To participant in everything they can. And for results in project they will receive awards. And awards will motivate them to work.

14. On which market opportunities are you going to capitalize during your term?
I really want increase recognizability AIESEC in d. How I want do that? At first I will focus at creating relations with universities, students circle, career office, local authorities. Because if we will do it we can get some help from them and help them with some actions, events. With their help we will be more visible in d. And we will get more applications for GC and GT, more applications for TMP recruitment, more people will came for our events and possibility of getting some funds. Another possibility that we dont use are conferences, job fairs for students, because in dzi there is a lot of that kind of events. Its one of the way getting to our customers, building network with companies. If we will be at that kind of events w will be more visible in town. There is another chance that we can use. Im thinking about working with some NGO at Euro pean Union project. Its a chance for us to get knowledge, experience and of course money for our develop. As you may know in d there is a lot of stakeholders, and we only cooperate with some % of them. Our project was create to answer for market need, but market develop very fast, and I think now I a chance to make our ICX project more relevant to our local environment. Im not talking about completely changing our ICX project, because they are really good, but Im talking about some changes that will make our project more relevant to our environment. And when we do it I know we will get to more stakeholders, and get more EP to d.

15. What improvements must be implemented in the internal processes in each ELD program in order to optimize the delivery of our services?
TLP: we must provide more opportunity for leader to help them develop, and using R&R we will have tool to motivate them to stay in organization to work, to apply to EB. Also feedback during their project and after their project will be good. Because leaders will know what should they improve and what keep. Before they TLP experience we must provide them more functional knowledge to ensure they will know how to manage project. Conferences are very good because they motivate people and provide them good develop.

TMP: Must to do is implement R&R system to motivate members, and also provide them good opportunity to develop. Then we will be able to keep them in organization. More integration meetings will be good for them to keep their motivation on good level. I think giving them opportunity to go for conferences will motivate them and develop them. oGIP/GCDP: we must be more customer oriented, because their experience here is the most important. Starting from first interaction with customer till last interaction we must be professional. And to do it we must have more knowledge and patient to our EPs. We must start inviting them for our LC meetings. iGIP/GCDP: At first we must start doing iGIP and then we must take care of our customer, they must feel that they are very important for us and they can count on us. To improve our relationships we should invite them for some celebration, to show them how important they are for us. iGCDP is in good condition, but I think we should focus on host family promotion, and making our project more relevance for our market.

16. What strategies do you propose to ensure financial sustainability of our LC?
1) Run iGIP project in LC. We all know that we wont have it right now, because we dont have enough resources to run such a project and we dont have also know how about iGIP. But iGIP project are of the best money maker in AIESEC. That why one of my goals will be to run iGIP project and do few realizations in my term. I will invest in iGIP resources: people, money, and I will get necessary knowledge for people who will be in this project. And this project will be one of my focus for my term. 2) OGX, of course, as you know OGX (Global Citizen and Global Talents) are one of the best money maker project in LC. Another my goal will be invest also resources in OGX area, I will mostly focus at promotion because still OGX promotion is not good enough. If we will do successful promotion we will have a lot of applications and we will provide a lot of life changing experiences and earn some money.

18. Considering term shift in year 2014, what challenges might it affect on LC health and performance? What do you plan to do to overcome those challenges?
Problems what I see now: Lack of time for new EB to get use to work as an EB New EB must start working from the beginning on plans and strategies that old EB create. A lot of activity will be going in short period of time Not enough time to prepare MMs to apply to EB Early LCP and EB election A lot of processes will be speed up

Probably there will be more challenges but right now I see those ones. My plan: Starting from beginning crucial thing will be good planning every action in LC for whole term, with main focus at hot periods of time, to avoid any delays. SO everything can go with plan. We must prepare future MMs to apply to EB in September , we must build in them correct attitude for early beginning other ways it wont work. Very good TO for next EB is very crucial, because they must have all necessary knowledge form the beginning, they must know what to do next how to do things, because they dont have time to learn how to do many things. And during those hot periods of time we must focus on task, and do it together, because without cooperation we wont achieve our goal.

19. What will be your legacy in January 2015? What will you say to your successor? What will be you remembered for?

Strong leadership and sustainable growth

My legacy will be LC with high culture, and good results that finally start growing not falling in numbers. LC members will be proactive in LC and in AIESEC Poland. We will have good plans for next years and strategic projects suitable to our local needs, and we will know that future EB will use this plans. Performance culture will be build and leaders will be more independent, so EB work will be mostly strategic. We implement all changes that we want. Now is your turn to lead this LC, I know that It will be in good hands and you will lead our LC to the stars. I know it wont be easy but you will never regret your choice I know i t. This is the best experience in AIESEC. I believe in you. I think for my open to members focus on results, achieving goals, and for continuity of changes that we start in last year.
