interviewed at Seven Springs Mountain Resort /in Champion, Pennsylvania
(PA) . HOGLAN and her, family were there to attend ! memorial services
for victims of United Flight 93, which crashed in ;PA on September 11,
2001. HOGLAN's son, MARK BINGHAM, was a passenger; on board that
flight. After being advised of the identity of th'e interviewing Agent
and the nature, of the interview, HOGLAN furnished the following,

On Tuesday, September 11, 20Q1,/ MARK BINGHAM called the
Maclay Court residence at I I ALICE HOGLAN was resting at
the time in the bedroom, where the telephone had been turned off.
CAROL PHIPPS, a family friend who had been there overnight helping with
the children, answered the phone in the kitchen. The phone rang maybe
five times before PHIPPS picked it up because she thought one of the
other family members would answer it. When PHIPPS picked up the phone,
the line was dead, so she hung up. A moment later, the phone rang
again. PHIPPS again answered the phone and heard a male voice (later
determined to be MARK BINGHAM) say, "Get Kathy or Alice quickly!"
PHIPPS asked the caller, "Is this Lee?" The caller responded, "No.
Get Kathy or Alice quickly." No other information was provided to
PHIPPS.
ALICE HOGLAN then heard PHIPPS proceed down the hallway to
get KATHY HOGLAN, ALICE HOGLAN's sister-in-law. ALICE HOGLAN then
heard KATHY talking on the phone. She heard KATHY say, "We love you
too Mark. Let me get your mother."

KATHY HOGLAN then alerted ALICE HOGLAN. She said, "Alice,

come talk to Mark. He's been hijacked," or words to that effect.
When ALICE HOGLAN got on the phone, her son said, "Mom, this
is MARK BINGHAM" (he stated both his first and last names) followed by,
"I want to let you know I love you. I love you all." ALICE HOGLAN
told her son that she loved him too.
BINGHAM then said, "I'm on a flight from Newark to San

Francisco and there are three guys who have taken over the plane, and
they say they have a bomb. I'm calling you from the air phone."
ALICE HOGLAN then asked, "Who are they Mark?" BINGHAM was
distracted and did not answer. ALICE HOGLAN was not sure if her son
had heard the question. There was an interruption for approximately
five seconds. BINGHAM then stated to his mother, "You've got to
believe me. It's true."
ALICE HOGLAN responded, "I do believe you Mark. Who are

they?" There was another approximate five-second pause, similar to the
first, wherein ALICE HOGLAN heard activity and voices in the
background. People were murmuring. There were no screams. ALICE
HOGLAN got the impression that her son was distracted because someone
was speaking to him. Then the phone went dead.
ALICE HOGLAN estimated that her son was on the telephone line
for a total of three minutes: roughly a minute and a half with CAROL
PHIPPS (including the time it took her to get KATHY HOGLAN on the
line), about 30 seconds with KATHY HOGLAN, and about a minute with
ALICE HOGLAN. The call originated at about 6:40 or 6:45 a.m., Pacific
Daylight Time, and lasted roughly three minutes. HOGLAN noted that
while the times were estimates, her account of the conversation was
nearly verbatim. Throughout the entire call, her son sounded calm,
controlled, matter-of-fact, and focused.
After getting off the phone, ALICE HOGLAN dialed 911 to

report what had occurred. She was patched through to the San Francisco
Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), where she spoke
with Special Agent (SA) I | Two FBI Agents were
subsequently sent to HdGLAN's house. Shortly thereafter, ALICE HOGLAN
and her family saw ..televised reports that United Flight 93 had crashed.
BINGHAM was traveling on business to establish a new office

on the East Coast for his California-based Public Relations firm. His
mother was, expecting his return to San Francisco on September 14, 2001,

nature of the interview, he provided the following:
FIUMANO had a long term relationship with MARION BRITTON, but

they did not live together. FIUMANO and BRITTON had dinner together on
the night of 09/10/01 which is the last time: that FIUMANO saw BRITTON.
On the morning of 09/11/01, BRITTON took a <?ar service from her
residence in Brooklyn, New York to Newark Airport to depart at 8:00am
on United Airlines flight #93 to San Francisco. BRITTON was traveling
to San Francisco in relation to her employment with the United States
{U.S.) Census Bureau, New York, New York. fcRITTON was traveling with
Ms. MARTINEZ, who was also an employee of the U.S. Census Bureau in New
York and in charge of computers for that agency. BRITTON did not want
to go on the trip, but did it as a favor to; MARTINEZ.
At approximately 9:30am or 9;45arti on 09/11/01, BRITTON called

FIUMANO at telephone number I 1 In substance the
conversation was as follows: BRITTON said her plane was hijacked and
told FIUMANO to take down the phone...number I I FIUMANO
..told.her not--to worry because they would probably just take her to some

were turning and going to crash. FIUMANO then heard a lot of screaming
and then the phone went dead.
FIUMANO immediately tried to call BRITTON back at £ J

but got a message to the effect that the phone was not in
service. Given the phone number BRITTON had given him, FIUMANO assumed
she had borrowed a cell phone from another passenger. BRITTON's
personal cell phone number was (917) 842-2697. During the phone
conversation with FIUMANO, BRITTON did not mention any identifying
information about the hijackers, how many there were, how they were
armed, where they currently were on the plane, who was currently flying
the plane, where the plane's destination was, or what other passengers

At approximately 6;35 a.m. Pacific
Standard Time (PST), 9:35 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EST), the
telephone rang several times before CAROL PHIPPS, a family friend who
was watching the children, answered the phone. When PHIPPS answered
the phone, there was something wrong with the phone line, so she hung
up the phone. At approximately 6:44 a.m. PST (9:44 a.m. EOT) the
phone rang again. PHIPPS answered the phone and the caller was MARK
BINGHAM. BINGHAM told PHIPPS that he needed to speak to either KATHY
or ALICE and that it was an emergency.
PHIPPS ran down the hall to KATHY HOGLAN's bedroom and
knocked on the door. KATHY HOGLAN was told by PHIPPS that there was an
emergency telephone call for her. KATHY HOGLAN proceeded down the hall
to the telephone. When she answered the phone, the caller was BINGHAM.
BINGHAM said to KATHY HOGLAN, "this is MARK, I just want to tell you
I'm on a plane and it's being hijacked." KATHY HOGLAN then got a piece
of paper and asked BINGHAM what flight he was on. BINGHAM replied,
"United Flight 93." KATHY HOGLAN told BINGHAM to stay on the telephone
and that she was going to get his mother, ALICE HOGLAN.
As KATHY HOGLAN proceeded down the hall, she was met by ALICE
HOGLAN. ALICE HOGLAN had heard the telephone ring and exited her
bedroom. KATHY HOGLAN told ALICE that her son, MARK, was on the

I I was, interviewed via the
teiepnone at Jdb-2«2-6908.After being advised of the identity of the
interviewing agent and the nature of the interview, BRADSHAW provided
the following information:
BRADSHAW1s wife, SANDRA BRADSHAW, was a flight attendant on

UNITED AIRLINES, flight 93, traveling from Newark to San Francisco,
working first class passengers. SANDRA called BRADSHAW a little before
10:00 a.m. while on the flight and asked BRADSHAW if he had seen what
happened today. BRADSHAW told SANDRA that two planes had crashed into
the World Trade Center in New York City. SANDRA then told BRADSHAW
that her plane had been hijacked. She continued to state that the
plane had been hijacked by three men with dark skin, and SANDRA stated
"They almost looked Islamic." One of the hijackers was seated in first
class and SANDRA actually looked at him, this hijacker was "a little
short guy." The other hijackers were seated in the back of the plane.
SANDRA only saw the hijackers carrying knives as weapons. All three of
the hijackers put red headbands on their heads as they were hijacking
the plane. Additionally, SANDRA did not know the location of the plane
but she thought that the plane might be around the Mississippi River
because they had just passed over a river.
SANDRA stated the hijackers went up to the front of the plane
and all passengers and flight attendants were in the rear of the plane.
SANDRA told BRADSHAW that she counted about 27 people in the back of
the plane with her. The pilots were not in the back of the plane.
SANDRA did not say anything about what the hijackers said nor
the language spoken during the hijacking. Further, SANDRA did not say
if the hijackers went into the cockpit of the plane or not.
SANDRA was permitted to use the phone and speak freely,
therefore, BRADSHAW opined that the hijackers were not closely watching
the passengers. Additionally, SANDRA told BRADSHAW that the passengers
were getting hot water out of the galley and were going to rush the
hijackers.
At the end of the telephone call, SANDRA told BRADSHAW that
everyone was running up to first class and she hung up the telephone.

nature of the interview. Thereafter, WAUGH provided the following
information:
WAUGH is the mother of SANDRA JEAN WAUGH BRADSHAW, who was

performing duties as a .stewardess during the hijacking of United Flight
Number 93. WAUGH last spoke with her daughter on Monday, September 10,
2001. WAUGH explained her daughter had been a flight attendant at
United Airlines for at least 10 years and had earned a 10 year bar for
her wings. Recently, after the birth of her second child, BRADSHAW was
working a minimum number of hours in order to maintain her position
with United Airlines.
WAUGH has discussed the issues of recovered personal effects

and DNA samples with her son-in-law (SANDRA'S husband), PHILIP G.
BRADSHAW. They both would like to be given any of SANDRA BRADSHAW's
personal effects which may be recovered. WAUGH advised that several
days ago, PHILIP G. BRADSHAW provided United Airlines with SANDRA
BRADSHAW's hair comb and toothbrush for obtaining potential DNA
samples.
WAUGH and BRADSHAW would like to be kept abreast of the

progress of this investigation.
WAUGH provided the following information concerning her
deceased daughter:

On Thursday, September 20, 2001, Mrs. JUDITH McHALE,

President of Discovery Communications, Bethesda, Maryland was
telephonically contacted by Special Agent (SA) | "~|and
advised as follows:
McHALE advised that she was aware that her brother, .STEPHEN
McHALE had contacted the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in
reference to a passenger on one of the flights that were hijacked on
September 11, 2001. McHALE advised that her brother erroneously
indicated that she had information on a flight out of Dulles/, however,
McHALE indicated that she heard that an individual by the na'me of
ELIZABETH WENEO who was a passenger on a flight out of Newa.rk, New
Jersey, made a cell telephone call to her mother. McHALE Advised that
she had heard this from some of the employees at Discovery/but nobody
had any specific information and that this may have just been
information that was picked up from the media. Additionally, McHALE
advised that she had also heard that the FBI in Los Angeles had already'
interviewed WENEO's mother.
McHALE could provide no additional information.

On September 20, 2001, ANDREW J. WALKER, off

J W A L K E R was advised of the identity of the
interviewing Agent and the nature of the interview, whereupon he
provided the following information: /
WALKER was scheduled to fly on September 11, 2001, on U.S./
AIR flight 5930, from Portland, Maine to Boston, Massachusetts, and/
then continue on the U.S. AIR flight from Boston to Charlotte, North
Carolina. The flight was scheduled to depart at approximately 6:OQ
a.m., on September 11, 2001. WALKER arrived at the PORTLAND JETPO^T
and checked in at Gate 8, at which time he was advised by U.S. AIR/that
the Boston to Charlotte portion of his flight had been cancelled. / U.S.
AIR advised WALKER that his new flight schedule would be Portland I to
Pittsburgh, to Charlotte. While at Gate 8, WALKER observed two Middle
Eastern males approach the area of Gate 8, at approximately 5:45 /a.m.
WALKER said "good morning" to one of the males, who made eye contact
with WALKER, stared for a moment, but did not speak to WALKER. frALKER
advised that he later recognized the male, from news reports on /
television and the newspaper, as the individual identified as MQHAMED
ATTA. WALKER recalled ATTA was wearing a brown jacket and carrying a
black duffel bag, approximately 18" to 24" long, on his left shoulder.
WALKER also had thought that ATTA had a mustache. WALKER stated that
he did not recall much detail regarding the other Middle Easte.irn male.
WALKER recalled that both males were approximately 5' 9", slight
builds, late 20's to early 30's, clean cut and neatly dressed/ WALKER
advised that he observed both Middle Eastern males to board the U.S.
AIR flight bound for Boston. /
On September 21, 2001, WALKER was interviewed at his place of
employment. WALKER was shown a photo array containing 12 photographs,
and asked if he recognized any of the individuals he observe/d on
September 11, 2001 as discussed above. WALKER reviewed the/photo
array, and identified photographs of MOHAMED ATTA and ABDUL/ ALOMARI as
the individuals that he observed boarding U.S. AIR flight 5/930, on
September 11, 2001 in Portland, Maine. /

BEAMER provided the following information regarding TODD BEAMER1s (her
husband) telephone conversation with GTE Airfone Operator, LISA
JEFFERSON, during the hijacking of United Airlines (UAL) Flight #93
from Newark to San Francisco:
Mrs. BEAMER did not speak with her husband, TODD BEAMER,
during the hijacking. On or about 9/14/01 UAL employee, NICK LEONARD
(Phonetic), called Mrs. BEAMER with the information that UAL had
received information that, LISA JEFFERSON had spoken to TODD BEAMER
during the hijacking of Flight #93. Mrs. BEAMER was provided with a
copy of a synopsis of that conversation by LISA JEFFERSON (copy of the
same in 1A). Mrs. BEAMER arranged to speak with Mrs. JEFFERSON on
9/15/01. Mrs. BEAMER taped the conversation between herself and Mrs.
JEFFERSON and has agreed to provide the FBI with a copy of the
conversation at a later date. Mrs. JEFFERSON told Mrs. BEAMER that her
conversation with Mr. BEAMER took place at 8:45 a.m. central standard
time. Mr. BEAMER remained calm during their conversation. Mr. BEAMER
was sitting next to a flight attendant during this conversation who may
have provided Mr. BEAMER with some of the information about the events
in first class. Mr. BEAMER told Mrs. JEFFERSON that the captain and
copilot were lying on the floor of the first class section of the
aircraft possibly injured or dead. Mr. BEAMER related that there were
three hijackers whose nationalities were unknown. One hijacker alleged
to have a bomb device strapped to his waist by a red belt and remained
in the first class section of the aircraft while the other two
hijackers entered the cockpit of the plane and closed the door behind
them. The hijackers were armed with knives. The hijacker's closed the
curtain between first class and coach. Mr. BEAMER related that there
were ten passengers in first class and twenty-seven passengers in the
back of the plane. Those in the rear of the plane were not being
monitored by the hijackers. Mr. BEAMER relayed that the plane was
going up and down and had turned or changed direction. Though Mr.
BEAMER was calm throughout this ordeal, his voice raised when he
described the gyrations of the plane. Mr. BEAMER asked Mrs. JEFFERSON
if she knew what the hijackers wanted. He suggested that perhaps they
wanted ransom or money. Mrs. BEAMER believes that Mr. BEAMER thought he

experience. Mrs. JEFFERSON did not give Mr. BEAMER any information
about the other hijacking incidents. Mr. BEAMER told Mrs. Jefferson
about his family and requested she convey a personal message to his
wife, LISA BEAMER. Mr. BEAMER told Mrs. JEFFERSON that he and some
other passengers were planning something and he was going to place the
phone down. Mrs. JEFFERSON told Mrs. BEAMER she heard "Are you guys
ready?" and "Let's roll!" Mrs. BEAMER attributes the statement "Let's
roll!" to her husband, TODD BEAMER. Mrs. JEFFERSON stated that she
heard screaming and then silence about 9:00 a.m. Mrs. JEFFERSON stayed
on the phone until she learned that Flight #93 had crashed.
Mrs. BEAMER stated that on 9/11/01 her phone rang a few times
around 10:00 a.m. but when she picked it up there was no connection.
She believes Mr. BEAMER may have tried to get in touch with her. Mrs.
BEAMER stated that Mr. BEAMER did not call her during the hijacking to
protect her from the pain of his situation. Mrs. BEAMER stated that
Mr. BEAMER had a cellular telephone with him cellular telephone number

Subsequent to being advised of the official identity of interviewers,
and reason for their contact, M. DRISCOLL provided the following
information:
M. DRISCOLL identified her husband as PATRICK JOSEPH "JOE"

DRISCOLL (J. DRISCOLL), who was a passenger aboard UNITED AIRLINES
Flight 93 on September 11, 2001. She provided JOE's date of birth as
December 6, 1930, and place of birth as New York, New York.
J. DRISCOLL was an employee of BELL LABS, who has been

retired for approximately eight years. The DRISCOLLs lived at their
former residence, 37 Greenleaf Drive, Englishtown, New Jersey 07726,
for many years, recently deciding to build a new home in a New Jersey
retirement community. The DRISCOLL's rented and moved to their
current address in Pt. Pleasant, New Jersey to await the completion
of their new residence, approximately one week before the September
11, 2001 plane crash.
J. DRISCOLL served four years in the United States Navy,

and told his wife that he was a Fireman who worked on guns during
that time. She is unaware of any security clearances which he may
have held.
The reason for J. DRISCOLL's flight on UNITED AIRLINES

Flight 93, was a trip to YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, where he planned to
hike with friends. She explained that J. DRISCOLL took such a hiking
trip to various destinations almost every year. She believes that he
used his UNITED Silver Pass and/or frequent flyer credits to obtain
his ticket, and possibly also the airline ticket used by his friend
and co-traveler, WILLIAM CASHMAN.

Her last contact with her husband was prior to his flight
on the morning of September 11, 2001. She had no unusual
conversations with her husband that morning. J, DRISCOLL was driven
to the Newark Airport for his flight that day.
J. DRISCOLL's luggage consisted of a large walking stick, a
backpack and what she believes may have been a bag larger than carry
on size.
M. DRISCOLL requested that if any personal effects
belonging to her husband are recovered, they be returned to her. DNA
samples have already been provided to the appropriate authorities.
M. DRISCOLL was advised of the existence and general
purpose of the Victim/Witness Assistance Program. She was provided a
Victim/Witness Assistance Program brochure, as well as a business
card, with the names of the interviewing agents.

HUGHES identified her brother as JOSEPH DELUCA
(DELUCA), who was employed as a engineer for PFIZER, INC, Morris
Plains, New Jersey. She provided her brother's date of birth as
April 5, 1949, and place of birth as Newark, New Jersey.
HUGHES confirmed that DELUCA lived at 38 Pasture Court,

Ledgewood, New Jersey.
HUGHES did not believe her brother had any particular

clearances other then what he may have had with PFIZER. On
September 11, 2001, DELUCA was aboard UNITED AIRLINES flight 93,
which was to fly from Newark, New Jersey, to San Francisco,
California. DELUCA was traveling with his girlfriend LINDA
GRONLUND whom HUGHES believed may have been traveling to
California for business. HUGHES could not recall her last
contact with her brother, however, she said that her brother
called her father from the aircraft telling his father that they
had been hijacked and that he loved him.
HUGHES would like to be informed of the progress of the

investigation. Victim/Witness Assistance Program brochures were
provided to the HUGHES for both herself and her parents, as well
as business cards of the interviewing agents.

Alan Beaven was traveling from Newark to San Francisco in

medium sized soft covered suitcase. Alan Beaven booked his trip with
United Airlines sometime in June or July and used either his or
wife's mileage plus account. Alan Beaven has no addresses outside
the United States, but does have parents who reside in Australia.
BEAVEN and her husband were married for eight years,

celebrating their anniversary on 09/10/2001. The last contact that
BEAVEN had with her husband was at approximately 7:0.0 AM on the
morning of 09/11/2001 via telephone.
BEAVEN stated that she does want any personal effects if

they are located, especially her husband's wedding ring.
BEAVEN was provided a victim witness pamphlet with points

of contact for her to call for assistance.

informed DRATEL that on 09/11/2001, there was a telephone call
made from a GTE airpho-ruy aboard United Airlines (UAL) Flight
93 to 212H I which is subscribed /to by DGI.
DRATEL was well aware of th^s telephone call, and he

advised that the call was made by WILESCA MARTINEZ, who was a
passenger aboard UAL Flight 93. According to DRATEL, MARTINEZ
was calling ANGELA LOPEZ, whom DRATEL identified as an
employee of DGI and the roommate of/MARTINEZ. DRATEL did not
know the details of the phone conversation between LOPEZ and
MARTINEZ. He advised that LOPEZ was currently in Puerto Rico
attending the funeral of MARTINEZ/ and she would be back in
New York on 10/22/2001.

9/11/01 and left a voicemail message for./LEW.rN, a few days
before 9/11/01. I 1 stated that,,the SPRINT employee
agreed to this request and retrieved and ,taped the voicemail
message for LEWIN. The SPRINT employee/became concerned when
she heard that the 'message was in a/different language. She
also noted a large amount of international calls on LEWIN's
cell phone. The SPRINT employee alerted her supervisors about
her concerns and was subsequently .tpld by them not to notify
anyone, but simply provide LEWIN with the requested tape. The

FIUMANO. The phone "dump" records were reviewed to try to determine the phone number from
which United Airlines flight 93 passenger MARION BRITTON called FIUMANO from on 09/11/01.
(PerFIUMANQ's 09/17/01 FD-302, FIUMANQ stated that BRITTON's call to him atl I
an 09/11/01 was at approximately 9:30am or 9:45am, BRITTON told him to talce down the
number|~ land that immediately after the call abruptly ended, he began trying to call her

RUGG advised that .the spread sheets previously, provided to SA
KAMERMAN list all calls made from United Airlines (UA) flight 93 on
9/11/2001. ., I
The credit qard that UA Flight 93 passenger TQDD BEAMER
attempted to use was/rejected. The call was then transferred to the GTE
Customer Care Centef. TODD BEAMER eventually spoke to GtE Airfone
Customer Service Representative LISA JEFFERSON. RUGG believes that
during the hijacking ROBERT COMBS, GTE Director of Network Operations.
I t called and spoke to FBI Special Agent I I of
the FBI Chicago Office, I L RUGG believes that COMBS was
approximately thirteen minutes away from getting SA I | on the/line
with TODD BEAMER when the plane crashed;, \ I

police department had broken into a call during the hijacking and
possibly recorded the call. RUGG advised that GTE; Airfonejcalls/are

Details: For the information of Newark, on September 11, 2001,
EDWARD FELT, a passenger on United Airlines Flight 93, placed a 911
call from his cellular phone and was connected with the Westmoreland
County 911 Emergency Center in Greensburg, Pennsylvania and spoke
with JOHN W. SHAW, Telecommunications Officer. During interview,
SHAW advised he received FELT ' s call at approximately 9:58 AM in

which FELT stated that he needed help because the plane he was on was
being hijacked. SHAW described the call as intermittent insofar as
he lost contact with the caller on several occasions during the call
and summoned his co-workers to report the hijacking to the FAA.
Efforts by SHAW to reestablish communication with FELT were
unsuccessful. The last input recorded by the UAL Flight 93 Flight
Data Recorder occurred at 10:03 AM.
On 3/20/2002, Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA)
David J. Novak, and SA Greg Kerpchar, Pennsylvania Office of the
Attorney General, met with SHAW in response to SHAW's request to meet
with the family of ED FELT. AUSA Novak advised SHAW that he would
make SHAW's request known to the FELT family and allow the FELT
family to decide whether they wanted to meet with SHAW.

accompanied by Victim Witness Specialist
proceeded to the residence of SANDRA V. FELT.
Upon arrival, they were greeted by SANDRA V. FELT and COLLEEN SCOTT,
FELT1 s PA September llth Victim Advocate, headquartered in Doylestown,
Pennsylvania.
FELT then used headphones and a cassette player to listen

to a copy of a cassette tape currently in the custody of the Federal
Bureau of Investigation. FELT was provided a transcription of this
tape, which contained the audio of a 911 call made on September 11,
2001, by an individual who identified himself as EDWARD FELT, and
who advised that he was a passenger aboard United Airlines Flight
93.
Pursuant to listening to the recording, FELT identified

the voice on the tape as that of her husband, EDWARD FELT.
She then requested that her daughters, ADRIENNE P. FELT

and KATHRYN R. FELT, and her sisters, YORLENY WALSH and LEONOR URENA
be provided an opportunity to hear the call. All individuals were
provided as many opportunities as they wished to listen to the
recording and/or to read the transcription.
When everyone who wished to hear the tape was satisfied,

the visit to the residence was ended. The cassette tape containing
the 911 call and its transcription remain in FBI custody.

CRAMER provided the following additional information.
CRAMER stated that he, in the course of his duties as a Dispatch

Supervisor, had released details of a cell phone call that had been
received by the Emergency Center from a passenger aborad United Flight
#93 to numerous media outlets and that he utilized the "Event File
Readout Report" number 01147292-01 as the source of information that
was disseminated.
CRAMER explained that although his initials "gc" appear next to the
"By" line of the report he has no memory of entering the data. CRAMER
remembered that he was assigned to station t2.14 on September 11, 2001
and when Flight #93 information was being received at the center,
CRAMER had left his station to attend to other duties. CRAMER remarked
that he did not log off the computer therefore any entries that would
have been made from t2.14 would bear his initials.
CRAMER concluded by stating he has not heard a playback of the call
received from United Flight #93 passenger EDWARD FELT.

Division. ROBERT PHILLIPS of the GTE Billing Department also spoke to
the interviewing agent during this conference call. RUGG was previously
interviewed by 5AI \3n 10/31/2001 and 11/30/2001, regarding the
spreadsheet prnvidpri 1-n SA\ that list all GTE Airfone calls
made frotn United Airlines (UA) Flight 93 on 9/11/2001. Having been
advised of. the.identity of .the interviewing agent and the purpose of
the interview/ RUGG and PHILLIPS provided the following information:
RUGG advised that the credit card numbers, listed on the
previously.provided spreadsheet, were incorrect. When GTE converted the
data from, "Oracle".to "Excel" the last digit of the credit card numbers
wa? altered. RUGG stated that he would prepare a corrected version of
the spreadsheet,and forward it to the interviewing agent. This
corrected spreadsheet was received by the interviewing agent on
3/29/2002, via Airborne Express, shipment number 50588655-972.
/According to RUGG and PHILLIPS, GTE utilizes blind billing.
, This means that GTE does not know who the end party is that is billed
f6r the phone call. Most credit cards are sent to First Data Merchant
/Services for billing. American Express (Amex) credit cards are sent to
/Amex for billing. AT&T Long Distance cards are billed by AT&T Long
Distance. The revised spreadsheet included point of contact names and
.telephone numbers for the above listed billing services.

answering machine messages left by Lauren Grandcolas on 9/11/2001 and
also obtain a copy of the September 2001 bill for AT&T cellular
telephone | |,.
Details: As San Francisco is aware, LAUREN GRANDCOLAS of San Rafael,
California was a passenger,aboard United Airlines Flight 93 (UAL 93)
which was hijacked and subsequently crashed in Somerset County,
Pennsylvania on September ll> 2001. While aboard UAL 93, LAUREN
GRANDCOLAS left several voice, mail messages to her husband, JACK
GRANDCOLAS, on their home answering machine. During initial
interview JACK GRANDCOLAS rebuffed San Francisco's request for a copy
of the voice mail messages on the grounds that the content was too
personal and that he did not wish to have it made public. However,
JACK GRANDCOLAS did allow the interviewing Agents to listen to the
recordings.
A review of the GTE airplione record for UAL 93 on
9/11/2001 revealed five telephone calls were placed from the GTE
Airfone to telephone number I Iwhich is the GRANDCOLAS
residence telephone and one call was placed; to telephone number (415)
| [which is subscribed to by Global Workplace, San Rafael, CA.
Global Workplace is believed to be the home-abased business of JACK
GRANDCOLAS. LAUREN.. GRANDCOLAS possessed AT$T Broadband cellular
telephone, number (415), 215-8934, while aboard UAL 93 and is believed

Hispanic, date of birth October ..15, 1963, who iias one of the victims on
United Airlines Flight # 93. LOPEZ and MARTINET lived together for
seven (7) years and have resided at the Cherry Street address since
1998. / j
On September 11, 2001, at approximately 06: 15 AM, MARTINEZ
was seen off at her residence by LOPEZ and MARTINEZ'S mother IRMA
RIVERA MARTINEZ and brother I ~l MARTINEZ was en-route
via taxi-cab to Newark International Airport, to fly to San Francisco
on business for her employer, the United States Census Bureau.
LOPEZ uses the Path Train to go to work from Jersey City, NJ,
to the World Trade Center Path Station in lower Manhattan. On September
11, 2001, LOPEZ left her residence at approximately 08:30 AM, used the
Path Train to Manhattan but due to the attack the train was re-routed
to Grand Central Station. LOPEZ used the NYC Subway System to go to
downtown Manhattan, The subway stopped en-route to downtown Manhattan,
and due to the attack did not move and at approximately 12:00 PM LOPEZ
and the other passengers were escorted off the train. LOPEZ returned to
her residence an.cl was informed by MARTINEZ'S mother that United
Airlines Flight/8 -93 had been hijacked and crashed.
LOPEZ was informed that a GTE Airfone call from United
Airlines Flight # 93 was placed to the Dratel Group telephone number
212-1 lat 09:45 AM for 138 seconds. LOPEZ stated that she was not
in the office at that time and she received no message that MARTINEZ
had called. LOPEZ believes that due to the fact that the Dratel Group
is located in close proximity to the WTC, the switchboard at Dratel was
receiving numerous calls from family and friends of employees. Due to
the large volume of calls, callers were placed on hold and it is
investigation on 04/25/2002 at Washington, D.C. (telephonically)

Details: Set forth lead to the Newark Division to contact Sandra
Felt in regards to an audio cassette tape of her husband, Edward
Felt. Edward Felt was on board United Airlines Flight 93 which crashed
into a field in rural Pennsylvania. The recording is of a telephone
call Edward Felt made to a 911 operator from the aircraft. During
the phone call, which is approximately three minutes in length, Edward
Felt informs the operator that the plane has been hijacked, provides
the flight number, type of aircraft, and other relevant information.
Felt's wife has requested a copy of the tape.
As background information, Sandra Felt has previously
heard the recording in the presence of FBI agents and personnel.
Edward Felt was forty one years old, married, and lived in Matawan,
NJ at the time of his murder.

The Newark Division should be advised Director Mueller

met with approximately thirty members of victims' families on June
10 and July 24, 2003 at FBI Headquarters. During the course of the
meetings, attendees were assured by Director Mueller that every
effort would be made by the FBI to provide family members, when
available, the opportunity to listen to recordings of their loved
ones. Every effort should be taken by Newark Victim Witness
Assistance personnel to ensure Sandra Felt is treated with the utmost
respect. Although Sandra Felt has signed a non-disclosure letter,
the possibility exists of negative media reporting.
AUSA David Novak, U.S. Attorneys Office, Eastern District
of Virginia, has been in contact with the Felt' s attorney and provided
approval for the family to obtain a copy of the tape. The U.S.
Attorney's Office obtained a signed non-disclosure letter for Sandra
Felt.
The Newark Division is requested to contact Sandra Felt
and make arrangements to provide her with the tape, and obtain her
signature on the enclosed FD-597 Receipt of Property. The Newark
Division is requested, with Sandra Felt's permission, to stay with
the family while the tape is played.
The PENTTBOM Investigative Team appreciates the efforts
of the Newark Division in facilitating providing Sandra Felt with
