1. Re-encounter A seed of betrayal 2. Winter of 2005. A beautiful woman in her 20s is looking down under her feet as she stands on a mountain near Haehwa-dong. Her gaze stops at Eun-hae (Song Sun-mi)s house. Just then, she sees Eun-haes mother who is greeting her granddaughter from kindergarten.

At that moment, tears well up in the womans eyes and quickly roll down her cheeks. And she promptly swallows the medicine she has been holding in her hands. The woman lies down under a leafless winter tree as her eyelids weigh heavily down. Under her closed eyes, she remembers her mother who coldly deserted her in front of the door of an orphanage, and she whispers.

This woman who attempted suicide is spotted by people passing by, and she is quickly taken to the nearby hospital, Han Hospital. With the help of Shin-hyung (Lee, Jong-Won), the woman is brought back to life, but she refuses to answer any questions and appears emotionless. Shin-hyung feels deep sympathy for this mysterious woman who didnt have any possessions with her. Her identity is only discovered when Shin-hyungs wife, Eun-hae, She is actually her best friend in high school, Oh Yoo-ran, who disappeared 10 years ago.

During their high school days, Oh Yoo-ran is ridiculed by her classmates only because she is an orphan. Eun-hae invites Yoo-ran to her birthday party and they enjoy themselves together. However, when Yoo-ran sees Eun-haes picture with her parents, she suddenly becomes outraged and runs out. After this incident, she drops out of school and disappears. Eun-hae still doesnt know why Yoo-ran reacted the way she did at the party, but she is only too happy to reunite with her long-lost friend.

Unlike Eun-hae who is earnestly happy to see her friend again, Yoo-ran seems somewhat distant and refuses to discuss what she has been doing for the past 10 years. As Eun-hae watches her friend, she guesses that Yoo-ran probably led a difficult life and does not ask her further questions. However, Eun-haes happy marriage constantly reminds Yoo-ran of her painful past and what could have been hers. 2. Turning life around Depriving and being deprived

4 years into marriage The marriage of Eun-hae and Shin-hyung seems very tranquil and calm. However, a tiny seed of betrayal is thrown into the equation with neither of them even realizing it. On the other hand, Hae-sook wants to expand the size of the hospital and this greed triggers her to get a huge loan from the bank, causing much conflict with Shin-hyung. When his motherin-law urges Shin-hyung to expand the hospital with the bank loan, he feels more stressed and pressured than ever before.

Also, Eun-hae becomes more and more like a roommate to Shin-hyung rather than an affectionate spouse as years pass. She fails to view her husband as a romantic figure and thinks of him merely as a life companion and the father of their daughter. Unlike his wife, Yooran views Shin-hyung as an attractive man and makes him feel young again which causes him to become more drawn to her.

After sensing the small discomfort between Eun-hae and Shin-hyung, Yoo-ran invites Shinhyung for dinner to thank him for finding her a job, and this leads to her seduction. Shin-hyung is temporally attracted to Yoo-ran who makes him feel like a man again.

However, this love affair is soon discovered by Eun-hae. While Eun-haes father wants Eun-hae to forgive her husband, her mother is outraged and refuses to forgive him. Caught in the middle, Eun-hae is confused and hurt. During this crisis, Eun-haes father collapses and because of this, Eun-hae decides to divorce Shin-hyung.

Yoo-ran is satisfied after stealing the one person Eun-hae loves the most in the world. And through her friends betrayal, Eun-hae suddenly becomes a divorcee. Shin-hyung loses everything he has had and loved as a result of that one fatal night.

Yoo-ran, determined to protect the happiness she has finally found, tries everything to lure the heart of Shin-hyung who spends night and day drinking in despair. Yoo-ran is constantly disappointed by his sisters opposition for them to be together. She continues to do everything in her power to make Shin-hyung her man. While fighting for him, she realizes one day that she has truly fallen for Shin-hyung. But Shin-hyung, on the other hand, finally realizes how much he loved his wife and daughter after losing them both.

Meanwhile, Eun-hae is thrown into a cruel reality after the divorce and poverty strikes. After her father collapses, his hospital quickly crumbles financially, and her mother spends all her time cursing and despising Yoo-ran and Shin-hyung. On top of her troubling parents, Eunhae is left with her young daughter who also feels sadness in her heart.

Despite loneliness and poverty, Eun-hae is determined to get her life back on track with her daughter with her aggressive and optimistic personality. She also has her best friend, Dong-mi, who has been there for her throughout all challenging situations. Dong-mi and Eun-hae decide to begin a business of cleaning public restrooms. Eun-hae spends night and day working and trying to give back to her daughter the laughter that she once had.

During the test cleaning period, an unexpected problem occurs and Eun-hae gets into a fight with a younger artist, Cha Yoon-soo. Despite the conflict, Cha Yoon-soo helps her get the cleaning position in the building and she builds a friendship with Yoon-soo, while slowly recovering from her failed marriage.

3. Hidden truth

After all happiness is shattered, the truth is bound to be out. Yoo-ran tries everything within her power to capture Shin-hyungs heart. However, he lingers around Eun-hae because he misses his daughter so dearly.

Shin-hyung gets into frequent arguments with Eun-hae over his visits to their daughter, and as a last resort to capturing his heart, Yoo-ran decides to have a baby with him. She calculates her ovulation period and successfully becomes pregnant. Shin-hyung, tired of Eun-haes cold attitude, decides to marry Yoo-ran. Even his sister gives in after hearing the news of Yoo-rans pregnancy. Relieved that everything is working in her favor, Yoo-ran promises to forget her dark past and live a new life as a wife and mother.

However, life takes a dramatic turn when everything seems just perfect. While Yoo-ran spends her busy days preparing for the wedding and buying a house to live in, she is faced with an uninvited guest. Her birth mother In-jae and her lover Sung-chul appear in her life without warning. After running away from the orphanage at the age of 19, Yoo-ran jumps on the next flight to Japan after her aunt gives her her mothers address in Japan.

However, her mother turns out to be nothing but a cruel disappointment in Japan. Now she is back, with a lover at that. She demands that Yoo-ran take them in. Although her mother appears regretful, her lover, Sung-chul, is less than sympathetic about the whole situation and threatens to expose her life in Japan to her future husband unless she helps them. Episode 1
Seoul, 2000. Eun-hae rushes to her own engagement party with Shin-hyung at a luxurious hotel after returning from her trip to draw paintings. At that time, Yoo-ran is singing on stage and gets into a fight with some of the customers. One year later, Eun-hae has a baby daughter with her parents and husbands blessings while Yoo-ran gives birth all alone in a hospital.

2006. Yoo-ran climbs a snow-covered mountain and looks down at Eun-haes house where she spent the only happy days of her life.

Episode 2

Yoo-ran collapses after taking pills but she is rescued by people passing by, who promptly take her to the hospital where Shin-hyung works at. Eun-haes mother is surprised to see Yoo-ran holding her old photo and is shocked to discover who Yoo-ran really is.

Eun-hae, Yoo-rans high school best friend, is eager to help Yoo-ran with whatever help she can provide. Strangely, however, Yoo-ran seems sarcastic and non-enthusiastic to receive her help. Later, Eun-hae tells her husband about Yoo-ran and guesses what she probably went through during her 10 years of absence. The next day, Yoo-ran finally begins speaking to Eun-hae
