Site Director of Facility Services, Caravan-Knight Facilities Management 2004 Directed facilities maintenance, landscaping, and housekeeping services at the 1.2 million sq. ft. General Motors Powertrain World Headquarters facility in Pontiac Michigan. Program Management: Led a staff of 10 office support and zone supervisors in day to day operations to ensure facilities and grounds were maintained in a clean and orderly fashion by assigned UAW personnel. Process Improvement: Negotiated with represented labor operating groups to address and solve issues; established an in-house performance improvement working group, and passed the annual UAW/GM Safety inspection with a score of 88% despite a very short lead time. Customer Service Associate, Lowes Home Improvement 2003 2004 Provided sales and special order assistance to clients, inventory monitoring and stocking, and other duties as requested while looking for new opportunities. Project Manager (1099), Fourmation Technologies 2001 - 2002 Coordinated and facilitated on-site management for workspace construction, relocation, and receiving-end activities for relocation of Motorola employees from 3 area locations to their new 125,000 sq. ft. support center located in Farmington Hills, MI. Construction Management: Supervised union trades interior space construction and build-out of 320 employee workstations and coordinated activities with work done by general contractor, construction trades, and Motorolas Facilities and Technologies staff to ensure that workstations had power, phone, and data prior to employee move-in. Contract Negotiation: Negotiated with Construction Union representatives for replacement of construction contractor by a represented trades organization. Provided input to revise Request for Proposal and reviewed bids for contractor selection. Program Management: Responsible for receipt, inventory, and quality control of new and used systems furniture arriving from eight different locations, sending components requiring modification or refurbishment to contractor, and ensuring that enough product was on hand to build out each floor as scheduled. Area Facilities Manager and Program Manager, FBG Service Corporation 1998 - 2001 Relocated to Michigan in 1999 and took over as Area Facilities Manager, directing the house services program for over 3 million sq. ft. of Ameritech (now AT&T) telecommunications facilities located throughout SE Michigan using five 3rd party subcontractors. Process Improvement: Produced sustained and noticeable improvement in customer satisfaction and program cost savings through use of performance audits, revising service schedules, working with 3rd party suppliers to improve service delivery, submitting maintenance work requests to the mechanical services provider, and increasing frequency of meetings with client and building tenant groups. Contract Negotiation: Negotiated and implemented new service-level agreements between Client and our subcontracted service providers upon FBGs decision to vacate the contract at the end of 2000. As a Program Manager, was responsible for the House Services Program, consisting of housekeeping, day porter, light-duty maintenance, special event setups, and internal relocation services at the 485,000 sq. ft. Rocky Mountain Regional Headquarters of USAA Insurance in Colorado Springs, CO. Cost Efficiency: Improved cost savings and service delivery by planning and coordinating services provided by maintenance, day porters, and night cleaning crew and increasing frequency of spot audits and inspections.
