of 37 percent from the preceding month, decreasing to

approvals of flats, but was offset by the 6.1 percent

month, offering at 21.94 percent. The interest rate on

GRtakarR)ak;elIkMcICaR)ak;duløar Føak;mkRtwm 16/01° . enAExemsa monetary market, liquidity (M2) increased slightly by

12954.1 bn in April. Net foreign assets slumped by 91

rose by a meagre 1.0 percent and 0.4 percent.

In June, riel traded low against the US dollar, Thai

121.9 riels/baht, and Vietnamese dong at 23.4 riels per

enAExemsa 2009 karnaMecjTMnijsrubrbs;km<Cú a Føak;cuH 17° In April, Cambodia’s total exports shrank by 17
percent from the preceding month. Therein, exports of

petroleum imports rose slightly by 9.8 percent; while

total expenditure slipped by 12 percent. Of that,

by 5.7 percent, lower than the 3.9 percent of April.

In June, both diesel and gasoline prices increased by
7.4 percent and 6.6 percent compared with the

eFobnwgExmun . kñúgExenHEdr Ggár eLIgéføenAextþkMBt ¬15/9°¦ Et rice rose in Kampot (15.9 percent), while the price
was down in Kampong Cham (Kg.Cham, 2.0 percent)
cuHéføenAextþ kMBg;cam ¬2/0°¦ nigsVayerog ¬3/8°¦ . RtI eLIgéfø and Svay Rieng (S. Rieng, 3.8 percent). The fish price
enAextþ )at;dMbg ¬12°¦ kMBg;cam ¬29°¦ nig esomrab ¬8/3°¦ rose further in Battambang (BB, 12 percent), Kg.
Cham (29 percent) and Siem Reap (S.R., 8.3 percent),

the pork price in B.B, Kg. Cham and S.R., while the
sVayerog . value was stable in Kampot, Kg. Speu and S. Rieng.

decreased by 2.4 percent and 46 percent, while the
46° ehIysMrab; ekAs‘Uvij vaekIneLIgbnþic KW 1/8° . rubber price showed a slight increase of 1.8 percent. In
enATIpSarRbeTsevotNam Ggár nigekAs‘U eLIgéfø 2/5° nig 2/3° Vietnam’s market, rice and rubber prices marked a
slight increase of 2.5 percent and 2.3 percent, while
RsbeBlEdlRKab;sVaycnÞI cuHéfø 4/8° . the price of cashew nuts fell by 4.8 percent.
In May, the year-on-year consumer price index slipped
enAEx]sPa 2009 snÞsSn_éføTMnji eRbIR)as;BImYyqñaMeTAmYyqñaM in the USA (1.3 percent) and Japan (1.1 percent),
enAshrdæGaemrik nigCb:un Føak;cuH 1/3° nig 1/1° b:uEnþenAtMbn;GWr:U while the index was stable in the Euro zone. The trend
vaenAefr . GtiprNaenHmanninñakarRbEhlKñaenARbeTscin ¬Føak;cuH was similar in China (a 1.4 percent fall), but reverse
trends were evident in Hong Kong and S. Korea,

(2.4 percent) while it was low in Singapore (0.3

In June, the value of the Hong Kong dollar remained
enAExmifuna 2009 R)ak;duløarhugkug manéføefr eFobnwgExmun rIÉ stable from the previous month, while the Korean won
R)ak;v:unkUer: Føak;cuHbnþic ¬0/6°¦ Tl;nwgR)ak;duløarUS . enAExenHEdr depreciated (0.6 percent) against the US dollar. During
the same month, the value of Japanese yen, Singapore
R)ak;ey:nCb:un duløarsigðburI R)ak;)atéf nigR)ak;GWr:U eLIgéføTl;nwg dollar, Thai baht, and the Euro against the US dollar
R)ak;duløarUS kñúgGRta 0/1° 0/6° 1/5° nig 2/8° erogKña . showed an appreciation of 0.1 percent, 0.6 percent, 1.5
percent and 2.8 percent, respectively.
The prices of the main agricultural products on the
enAEx]sPa 2009 éføplitplksikmµenAelITIpSarBiPBelak world market fell in May 2009. Therein, the prices of
)anFøak;cuH EdlkñúgenaH eRbgqa sENþkesog nigeBat Føak;éfø 6/1° palm oil, soybeans and maize decreased by 6.1
percent, 7.7 percent, and 14 percent from the
7/7° nig 14° eFobnwgExmun . enAExmifuna 2009 enH preceding month. In June, the international spot price
enAelITIpSarGnþrCati éføeRbgeqA m:as‘Ut nig saMglk;dl;éd KW of crude oil was at USD 67.9/barrel, diesel, US cents
46.3/ℓ and gasoline, US cents 49.9/ℓ. The prices of
67/9duløarUS¼Fug 46/3esn¼lIRt nig 49/9esn¼lIRt b¤ekIneLIg crude oil, diesel and gasoline increased by 24 percent,
24° 19° nig 14° eFobnwgExmun . 19 percent, and 14 percent, respectively, from a month
earlier.
