Configurations
This course re%uires a desktop &C for each student #ith all the re%uired soft#are installed on each &C. A shared server is not re%uired. Insta(( the data0ase sche&a Caution: For security reasons, it is not advisable to install the course schema into a production database. You may need the assistance of your DBA to access an account with the privilege to create a user.

If you did not already do so in the previous step, un ip the D!"#$"%&11scripts. ip file to a temporary directory, such as C:\te% \courseSetu \ . 'his creates a \scri ts subdirectory.
From the \scri ts subdirectory , invo)e *+,-.lus and log on as SYSTEM or as another DBA-level user. You may need to ask your DBA to give you an account or to run the scripts for you. You must run the scripts from the \scri ts subdirectory so that scripts in its subdirectory can be located. For e/ample, assuming the default directory structure, the command to run *+,-.lus from the 01 database would be2 C:\oraclexe\a \oracle\ roduct\10.8.0\server\,1*\s9l lus In the *+,-.lus window, run the createOE.s9l script from the directory where you unzipped it. After control is returned to the createOE.s9l script, the list of the created ob4ects is displayed along with any potential invalid ob4ects. 5unning these scripts should ta)e less than a minute. You may rerun the createOE.s9l script to drop and re6create the ob4ects.
