A formidable name in the Indian Machine Tools Industry was established in the year 1989. It is Indias one of the best manufacturing cnc company. Its founders are Mr. Parakram Sinh Jadeja and Mr. Sahdev Sinh Jadeja. The main inception of the company was a dramatic incident where Mr. Parakram Sinh wanted to go abroad and play cricket there after he had completed his 10th std. his father tried very hard to gather rs.30000 for around 2 months, and seeing the hard strive of his father to obtain the money, he changed his mind and instead of going abroad he bought few small machines at his workplace in a rented room of 8/8 ft. and started his work there.

AUTOMATION is a system, process, or piece of equipment that is self-acting and self-regulating. Their Logo displays a very virtual image of the company.

The logo with three shapes represents the theory of 3M. i.e. Man, Machine & Material The synchronization of them by 4th M Method. There were charts which showed the technology followed by them i.e. 5S.

3. KEY OBSERVATIONS:-

The working scenario in the firm was very well coordinated and the layout was very systematically planned. They do take care of recycling the waste material to the extent possible. It had an exclusive-Leonardo Vinci research and development department which produced minimum 2 new designs every year. These designs were then used for making of a rough model through wood in the Pattern Shop whereby the decision of real existence of the product would be then taken if it proves justice to the hard work. The design then is converted into a real iron product at the Foundry where iron that is extracted is then melted & molded into a product that can be further processed.

This product is then taken to the Utilities Shop where it is given different shapes n assembled too. The next process was of painting where these products are washed and painted in Paint Shop where preciseness and consistency can be well notified. Then is the Assembly Department where these products are assembled, checked and studied by conducting various test of utility on the products that can conclude to the preciseness and enhanced features. And then was packing and storage for the final products.

There was a Club House for all the family members of all the members working at JYOTI CNC, where they could spend their spare time in other developmental activities like various sports activities swimming, badminton, etc.

Production process:
1. Foundry: Shot plastic- sand is heated at 4000 degree Celsius and after that moulding process is completed through which the base is created. 2. Sheet metal shop: Cutting, welding, bending and grinding. 3. Paint shop: Heating process up to 1600degree Celsius, slurry is made in oven out of the powder and liquid and when it gets hot its painted. 4. Assembly: All sub assembled parts are assembled and a machine is prepared. 5. Testing: Machine so prepared are tested and checked properly before the delivery. 6. Packaging: All the machines are packed and are timely sent to their customers.

4. CRITICAL ANALYSIS / FINDINGS AND LEARNING

LEONARDO CENTRE:The research and development center at JYOTI CNC does a vivid study of market analysis and innovation in technology from where the ideas of generating the advanced and effective machines emerge. They are very advanced in the competitive world of dynamism and accurate quality. FOUNDRY:DA VINCI RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

The foundry department is a first step to actual production process, where the iron ore is melted and given different shapes as designed or imagined by the firm. The safety measures are followed in the intensive part of the process. This was placed very near to pattern shop whereby the product made would be precise and value worth. The employees here were also well satisfied but the atmosphere was toxic as the iron ore has a very harmful effect on the workers working there. Various diseases like asthma, cancer, lung diseases are caused due to constant exposure with iron. UTILITIES AND PAINT SHOP: -

The product was here joined, structured and painted too. The painting plan was so well prepared that the finishing of these machinery parts would be well appealing the standards of JYOTI CNC.

LESSONS LEARNT: The valuable lesson which I learnt from this visit is that any person if has a vision and the dedication to make his/her vision worth living not only for themselves but for others as well can survive the competitions and challenges and can make the world and its economy worthwhile. 5S of housekeeping- production efficiency is increased and inventory is stored and managed properly. Timely delivery to customers + customized product and its maintained very well is the best thing. The motivational quotes on the walls made the workers work harder and they are following vision 2020 which was written by Abdul Kalaam Azad. The layout of the firm was much defined and appealed the standards of the company. There was an effective coordination in quality, time and flexibility.

THE BEST THING IN THE COMPANY WAS:

NO TRADE UNION!!!
Each employee was treated as a family member and there were tournaments held in the club which motivated each of them
