Two of the historical events that helped bring about the Scientific Revolution were the Age of exploration and the Reformation. Starting in the 1400s, the European Age of Exploration involved many countries looking outward and exploring areas that had never been seen by Europeans before. This thirst for discovery helped fuel the curiosity and experimentation of the Scientific Revolution. The Reformation, which involved questioning traditional authority, led Europeans to question old theories and beliefs revolving around the natural world and moved them to come with their own answers to age old questions.

Both being innovations during the Scientific Revolution, the telescope and microscope have had a large impact on the fields of astronomy and medicine. These tools have given us a better understanding of our universe on the one hand, and on the human body and overall health on the other.

Influenced by the Renaissance, Age of Exploration, and the Reformation, the Scientific Revolution was a movement that witnessed many innovations and discoveries that impact our lives today. First, important scientific instruments like the telescope and microscope have opened our eyes to new worlds that could not otherwise be seen by the naked eye. Second, the Scientific Method has provided countless scientists with a road map to follow when engaging in scientific inquiry. And third, Newtons theories concerning gravity and motion have influenced physical science for over three centuries, providing people an understanding of what forces make up our physical world.
